Was happy that I didn't have to drive all the way to San Leandro for Denny's but honestly the drive is worth it. Came around 10:30pm and the service was honestly just horrible. Waited around 10 minutes just to get my drink order in. When we finally ordered our food I waited 30 minutes and still didn't get anything at all. Couple in front of us asked for a box and their check and 15 minutes went by, they got nothing. Decided to just leave and drive to another Denny's. It was super slow so I'm not sure why we were there for an hour and only got drinks. Ended up leaving at 11:30. read more

This Danny has bad service. I came here twice with my uncle. Night crew doesn't sit you or service you. They take forever to come and sit you and once they sit you, you have to wait over an hour for somebody to come and ask if you want drinks and what to order. Both times this happened. As soon as you walk in you feel welcome. The servers are amazing and attentive of what we need it! Definitely will be back. The food was done in a perfect time. The wait is tooooooooo long. I went there with a friend 3 times.. and for a simple order of pancakes, took us 30 minutes or even more before we got our orders. We were seated after 30 minutes. If only there were other restaurtants in the area, maybe they will improve their service, AND we would have gone there....! We went there around 2am - 3 am. they have 2 servers and they are the ones preparing the food for us. They need to add more people!!! the servers are the cooks, the cashiers and even the janitors. the bathroom was DIRTY on three ocassions we went there. TOTALLY DISGUSTING!! YTHE ONLY GOOD THING THERE ARE THE 2 SERVERS. I understand their frustrations having to do all the things aside from waitering...! who the F#CK owns that place? they need to IMPROVE IT BEFORE I REPORT THEM TO SANITATION AUTHORITIES!!! Our waitress, Luz, was extremely attentive and polite. The food was served in a timely manner and it was delicious!

I understand that this is a new Denny's location however, I do not want anyone else to experience this bad customer service. It took awhile to be seated even though there wasn't a line or people waiting ahead of my partner and myself. When we finally did get seated the worker left right away (did not check in with us) and again waited for another long period of time. They could have at least asked if we wanted water. We tried checking in with another worker name Justin, my partner looked at him in his eyes letting him know we are ready to order but he completely ignored us, because of this we had became very impatient to the point where we went up to the front to ask for our waiter. The waiter Ricardo was polite but once we had gotten our food it was cold and the texture was bad. The proportions were VERY small for about a $15.00 dollar plate and it was also very oily. We did not finish our meal. We went to pay up front and again Justin did not show any signs of good service. He just rang us up for our meal and did not even say bye. I do not know if I would eat here again and I do not recommend eating here for others. read more

Horrible ! Horrible DONT COME HERE. I came to dennys with my husband and told us we needed to sign in? Ummmm okay ... signed in then 20 - 25 mins later we were seated. While we were waiting , cashier/host couldn't count change right. Security guard knew more about the cashier job then the own cashier. We finally were seated the waitress was dumb.. sorry BUT she was.. she don't know what she is doing! Asked for water with lemon and lemonade .. took 15 mins for the drinks then she said "I'll be right back" 20 mins later.. she comes we place our order.. then 20 mins later she comes back with boneless wings and an incomplete order for my husband. Had to tell her we didn't order the wings and were missing items on my husbands order.. she said "oh okay . " what!? Is "oh okay" ? Lmao .. anyways this is the BEST PART.. I decided to pick up some toast and share with my husband and BEHOLD there was a black long hair in the middle of my bread . MY HAIR IS BLONDE. I wish I took a picture of it but I was so disgusted and annoyed I was ready to LEAVE . We then decided to leave the food and WALK OUT. Family and I went to the Denny's on Hesperian blvd in Hayward California. We were visiting from Reno Nevada. The waiter gave us menus, did not offer any drinks and we sat and watched two groups come and receive service. After 20 minutes of waiting, we left the menus on the table and walked out, and went to the Black Bear restaurant where we got a great meal and great service. Denny's Hayward, shame on you. I revised my review. I just don't know?? I had an online order, and I gave them and myself plenty of time. I stopped to get gas. I figured 50 minutes should be good. But it wasn't. When I walked in, I noticed it was empty, maybe 3 or 4 customers I had said i have an online order. There seemed to be a bit of confusion because they looked at me puzzled? They didn't have it and asked what was the order? What?? It took another 15 minutes of waiting time. I get this uneasy feeling when I step into this peticulare Dennys. It's been a while since I've been to Denny's and I was reminded why. Today is my birthday and I was on a hunt for all the freebies that is offered. One that has been popular is a free Grand Slam on your birthday. This particular Denny's is brand new to Hayward. It's new and shiny and had fun lawn games in the front for those busy mornings for people to play as they wait for a table. We didn't go until after the brunch rush so no big crowds to deal with. I was excited to be seated and order my free Grand Slam but as we were lead to our table, we were brought to the very back of the restaurant where there were long empty tables that had dirty dishes. It looked like a big group of people had been there and left a while ago but their tables had yet to be bussed. No other people were in the room but us. We sat there waiting for the wait staff to come by asking for our drink order as we looked over the menu. As we waited I saw in to the main dining area, a big group was being tended to by a wait person filling up water and coffee. I'm patiently waiting to gain the attention of this person but they never looked into this back room. I could of waved my arms or yelled to get this persons but I wasn't comfortable bringing that attention to myself. At this point my excitement turned to annoyance and finally after feeling like I was not being acknowledged, we got up and left. The hostess who sat us back there saw us walk past her. We looked at her and kept walking. I could of said something but I felt my attitude was not going to be well received so we left. This didn't damper my day because I went and got my free Starbucks and free dozen original glazed Krispy Kreme donuts so it was still a great day. read more
