Today me and my wife decided to get breakfast before my son's graduation. We went to Denny's on Tampa and Nordoff street in Northridge because it was close by to my son school. I've been coming to Denny's since I was a little boy with my parents and my brothers, but I just never got a chance to review Dennys until I became a father myself. I usually get the value meal which comes with two eggs, two sausage, two pancakes or two French toast, but today I decided to add a side of hash browns to share with my wife. The eggs were scrambled and the sausage tastes the same as always, and the French toast was better than I thought it was going to be with the added syrup and powdered sugar. Sometimes when I go to Denny's, I share with my son the strawberry banana pancakes, two scrambled eggs, two sausage and hashbrowns. I'm not really a lunch or dinner kind of Denny's fan though I only like them for breakfast which they do great always. Parking at this location was plentiful and wrapped around the whole building so there's no worries there. Bathrooms have a code to get in there so that only paying customers use them. I would recommend Denny's for anybody who wants to make Sunday breakfast a tradition. When you need a go to breakfast spot when other places are too busy and you don't want to wait in line there's always room for you to sit and eat at Denny's depending on the time of the day, but I've never waited more than 20 minutes. The food was delicious, and the service was above average as well the vibe at Denny's is always very welcoming. I will be returning in the future. read more

Came in for a girls late night meal and we had the best server Miles went above and beyond 10/10.

I am originally from New Jersey which is known for their diners so I've never actually been to a Dennys before. This was my first experience eating at a Dennys and it surprisingly didn't disappoint. I went in with my friend to cure a late night craving for pancakes and we were greeted by the extremely hard working Darren. He made us feel like regulars as he got our water and coffee right off the bat. I could see him talking to the other patrons, some regulars that he had their orders committed to memory and going through the details of the menu to new Denny customers like myself. The dining room was small and clean and constantly being cleaned and maintained by the busser who was quick at work. We had a delicious meal that really hit the spot and were even able take our coffees to go. I will definitely go back on the weekends (Thurs, Fri and Sat graveyard shift) to this Dennys to see Darren!!!! read more

I go to Denny's often (at different locations) and found that this Denny's has probably served me the best cooked version of my favorites in a really long time. The french toast was equally eggy and fluffy at the same time. The bread wasn't sad stale pieces of toast. I've only ever ordered the country fried steak and eggs once before and found it to be overly salted and never ordered it again. Whenever other people I'm with order the same thing they usually give the same complaint. This time around though, it was perfectly seasoned, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Also perfectly balanced by the gravy. Social distancing is enforced and dining is now outdoors in the parking lot. read more

I love all the Denny's I've ever gone to in Los Angeles and San Diego. I grew up going there when I was a kid and have such fond memories with my family there eating everything from the club sandwich to the Caesar Salad the Chefs salad and the Cobb salad. The nachos and their pancakes are to die for and so are their shakes and their sodas I love Denny's and Would work for them! Denise I believe started in 1957 as Denny's diner and no wonder it's been successful ever since. Before I even sat down in my seat the server said "coffee?" I said sure. Then, I hadn't even been there for 5 minutes and she had already come by 3 times asking if I was ready. I asked for a glass of water, never got it. The server put my bill on the table before I was even halfway finished with my meal. It infuriated me to be quite honest. And, she never came back again to check on me. Just slapped the bill on the table and was done with me. My food wasn't even cooked all the way. Cheese still cold and dropped in gobs on top of my eggs, bacon was undercooked - I couldn't even eat it. I felt very rushed and just took almost all of my food home. Visiting from Arizona and was hungry. Seen a Denny's close. This one only has 3 stars and I thought that is about normal for a Denny's. It was Monday morning and slow. I got a 10$ grand slam and boy was it a grand slam. Everything was cooked absolutely perfect. Hash browns were portioned more than I've ever gotten at any Denny's. Bacon was crispy, eggs to my specifications. The pancakes were also large and cooked perfect. I stopped eating my meal half way through to give this location a 5 star review and to say a few nice things for their great service and attention to detail. Only thing I could knock them for is the male restroom could use some deep cleaning or new fixtures. Overall, happy I stopped here. read more
