What can I say about Denny's? It's the place you go, when it's 2am, and nothing else is really open. You usually order the same thing, cause if you are going to Denny's at 2am, you probably already know what you want to eat. For me, that would be the Country Fried Steak and eggs. I can understand it's difficult to rate a chain restaurant anything extreme because overall the idea will always be the same. I find it amusing that some of the ratings on this specific Denny's praise it for its excellence but give it a 3 star because it's part of a major franchise food business. Personally, I love the spirit of small business, and I love trying new food, but it doesn't mean I won't eat at a major restaurant here and there. I went to this Dennys because it was near my hotel, and I wanted a sit-down lunch. The service at this location was phenomenal. They didn't show me the new table design, or the dish of the day. The service here was what everyone thinks of and wishes of from a traditional diner. Quick seating, service when you need it, and accurate orders. My server even had the proper balance of not showing up too much to annoy me, but enough that my water cup was never empty. I couldn't even see a dirty table; they kept the place cleaned up. It was a good experience. It is possible that I just had a wonderful shift, but you could say that at any restaurant. Overall, I give this place a 5-star rating. I can imagine other reviewers are resisting the urge to do that because they reserve the right to a 5-star for the hot new restaurant in town. I've been meaning to write this review for months! My boyfriend and I always come late night between 2-4 A.M. We are regulars and usually we are helped by Joaquin (I feel I misspelled his name). He is always so kind and helpful. He works so hard, goes above and beyond. We have seen the staff get slammed with indoor business and deliveries. He always remains so calm and professional. Our orders are always on point from the service to the quality of the chef. The establishment is always clean when we visit. Anyways, Joaquin is amazing and that man deserves a raise!! They have terrible service. I ordered the customizable slam. They took about 10 minutes that felt like forever to come back and order. When finally ordering, I placed my items as desired. This man mistook one of the items. I ordered 2 turkey bacon, 2 hash browns, and 2 pancakes. He replaced the pancakes with 2 strips of regular bacon. Why? I don't know you tell me. So then they come back and I'm like hey this is wrong and he's like "Oh" and then goes back. Then finally after 5 minutes comes back with the 2 pancakes after I'm done with the hash browns. Worst customer service! I came in and was greeted and seated right away. But my server Judith was the worst server. I ordered the lumberjack and she asked if I wanted sausage or bacon like I have to choose between the two in the picture it had both. Noticed one guy sitting at counter eating and another customer got up and put his own dirty plate in the bus boy tub and walk out. WTF? If you're looking for good food with good customer service and management, run in the opposite direction of this establishment. It was our first time coming to this particular Denny's, and most definitely our last. It wasn't busy when we came and we had to wait over 10 mins just for our drink order. We had two shakes so I knew it would take some time, but from where I was sitting I saw them make them. They sat there for a long time when they could have brought them to our table. So after a few sips of our shakes, I found a little piece of plastic in the shake. Thinking nothing of it I continued drinking my shake when a HUGE piece of plastic landed on my tongue. Unhappy I showed my server and he took it to the manager. After about 10 mins of inspecting it, the manager came over and said "where was it." I told him my shake and he said "ah." Then began examining it in front of me. No apology. No concern. I told him we didn't want it anymore and to just take it off our tab. He then stomped away and threw the plastic in the garbage angry, then continued to stare us down with a death glare. Then the food came out. The pancakes were burnt, the caramelized onions were cremated, the sandwich was soggy...all around there was NOTHING good about our experience. How these people got jobs let along that MANAGER getting a management position is beyond belief. It is a Denny's restaurant, but guess what this is one of the better restaurant in the area. I do not know if that is saying the other restaurant are that much worse, or this Denny's is much better. I was seated very fast here, as soon as I was able to sit down, the waitress asked what I would like to order for a drink, I said Ice Tea, within a few minutes later the drinks where at my table as I was able to finally sit and relax from a long day. The waiter was friendly and asked if I was ready to order, of course not so she gave me sometime to figure out what I wanted. Within five minute she returned to refill my drink and make sure it had plenty of ice too, plus take my order for food. We did not have to wait long before the food was at the table and I was enjoying a good quality hot food. So if you are looking for a place that will give good service, hot food and the drink on time, plus do everything right just liked you ask, then you need to come to this Denny's. I ordered from this Denny's via their new delivery service twice. If you're someone looking to see delivery experiences, don't expect Uber Eats quality. One thing to note: Doordash delivered the food but they didn't mess it up Denny's did. So this is ALL ok Denny's One of the main reasons for getting delivery is because you don't want to make the trip over to the restaurant for whatever reason (kids, laziness, not much time, etc). So when you order delivery, you expect the order the to come as you've ordered it especially if done through an app since the order is laid out for you, written. No way to miss something because someone misheard me. Everything is written on there! So I receive my order, and notice I'm missing two drinks that came with a combo. I'm usually the one to go over these simple mistakes if someone admits their mistake. However when I called the restaurant, their response was as following: 1. They told me out right I didn't have the drinks on my order. So I told them it was part of the combo. Like 2 seconds later the lady on the phone found it. 2. The lady NEVER apologized for the mistake. She simply continued to explain that I can pick it up if I wanted. Referring back to the previous paragraph, I ordered delivery for a reason. She made this sound like it happens often. 3. She says I can come pick up the missing order if I want. The manager had told her there was nothing that can be done. So I paid for something that never came and no apology nor a recourse for their mistakes were offered. I had this issue with Uber Eats and they were quick to issue me a refund for their mistake. I'm not a late night diner, but this Denny's has become our go to location when we are in a "breakfast for dinner" mood. We also enjoy the Tuesday and Sunday kids eat free promo they offer from time to time. The service and food is always consistent and good.
