Our water was served in plastic cups. I drank about half a cup of water. There was a slight taste like maple syrup to the water. I did NOT have syrup with my meal. Neither did my husband. After we left, my husband noticed his throat was burning after drinking the water. Right after drinking the water I got nauseated and my stomach was upset immediately. When we got home my husband took a nap because he didn't feel well, and I went straight to the bathroom because I really didn't feel well. Apparently my body got rid of what offended it, I am worn out feeling but doing a little better. My husband slept it off I guess. I think something was on the cups or in the water. Pesticides? I enjoyed my meal here. I had the breakfast slam with pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage. But always order off their steel menu because it's much affordable. Food was good I was even provided it to go cup for my coffee with a full cup of coffee and a to go cup for my water. I never like outright bashing any establishment especially on Yelp but this place needs a health department inspection. I came here for my free birthday breakfast and somehow left feeling like the complimentary meal was still overpriced. The presentation of the meal was profoundly mediocre and looked as though everything had simply been deposited onto the plate with minimal enthusiasm. The one genuinely enjoyable part of the meal was the French toast. I've had French toast at other diners that was so saturated with oil or butter that it became unpleasantly greasy, whereas this was relatively dry with a generous amount of butter on top that melted and soaked in nicely. Unfortunately, that small culinary bright delight could not rescue the overall experience. The restaurant was uncomfortably hot and appeared to be relying on a large industrial fan in the middle of the dining room rather than adequate air conditioning. The fan was extremely loud, yet because I was seated toward the back, I received essentially none of the breeze. So I got to enjoy the oppressive heat and the industrial soundtrack without any of the alleged ventilation benefits. The service situation was genuinely bewildering. A woman brought me water, returned to take my order, delivered my food about ten minutes later, and then seemingly vanished from this earthly plane. I was not checked on once during my entire approximately 45-minute meal--no refill, no "How is everything?", no check, nothing. I never saw her again, even when I eventually went to the front to retrieve and pay my own check. At that point, I can only conclude that my server was a ghost, and unfortunately, I do not tip paranormal entities. This was not unique to my table, either. I repeatedly looked around and saw no one actively checking on tables. Several customers appeared to be wandering around trying to find assistance, and another table went to the front to retrieve their own to-go boxes. Archie, the host, was genuinely nice and welcoming and ultimately helped me with my check. He was one of the only positive aspects of the experience and the only consistently visible front-of-house employee I saw, but one genuinely nice host cannot reasonably compensate for an entire dining room receiving virtually nonexistent table service. Then there was the restroom. The door had a keypad lock requiring a code, yet I could not find the code displayed anywhere obvious for customers, such as on the menu, so I had to walk all the way to the front and find someone just to ask for it. Given the staffing situation, even gaining access to the restroom felt like a side quest. Once inside, I genuinely struggled to understand how a restroom in this condition was being presented to the public. The toilet was visibly filthy and stained and, for reasons I cannot begin to comprehend, appeared to have two pieces of Scotch tape adhered directly to the toilet seat. The sink was grimy and appeared to be separating from the wall, leaving a substantial gap with exposed mounting hardware behind it. The women's restroom sign was apparently no longer even attached to the door; all that remained were three lonely strips of tape where it presumably used to be mounted. The pièce de résistance was the sign still proudly declaring, "Clean & well stocked restrooms are important to us." The sheer incongruity between that statement and the conditions immediately behind the door was almost surreal. The sign felt less like a reassurance and more like performance art. Based on what I personally observed and photographed, I sincerely hope management conducts a comprehensive inspection of the restroom and addresses the sanitation and maintenance issues immediately, because this went far beyond an untidy restroom that simply needed a quick cleaning. Between the sweltering dining room, deafening industrial fan, mediocre meal presentation, virtually nonexistent table service, customers wandering around in search of assistance, keypad-protected restroom scavenger hunt, deteriorating fixtures, visible grime, and Scotch tape inexplicably attached to a toilet seat, this was less of a dining experience and more of an endurance exercise. I came in for a birthday reward and left with photographic evidence, unanswered questions, and the distinct impression that this entire restaurant is being held together by one genuinely nice host, an industrial fan, and several pieces of tape. The free birthday breakfast was appreciated in theory. In practice, I would have preferred air conditioning, a clean restroom, and a server who didn't leave me wondering whether I had imagined her entirely. read more

It was late, I wanted a burger but I didn't want McDonald's or Jack in the Box. On my way home I was like Denny's is always open let me see if they still have that Bourbon Burger. I spotted it on the menu and immediately added it to my cart. It felt like forever but when I finally got it I swear for a minute I went to heaven. It seems like it has been several years since I last patronized this restaurant and wrote a review. But the day finally arrived where I could bring my dad back to one of his favorite eateries for some father / daughter time together. We arrived at a slow time, so we received prompt and extremely friendly service. Darvaye was very sweet and accommodating while taking our orders. I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich & soup from the 55+ selections. But the soup of the day was chicken noodle which I wasn't really fond of, so she was happy to make a change to French fries instead. My dad ordered two eggs over medium, two sausage links and wheat toast. We both ordered root beers to wash it down with. We were very hungry, so our food was just as expected, appetizing and satisfying. Just what we would consistently expect at a Denny's. My dad liked reminiscing when he was a regular and the staff made him feel special like a VIP. Walking in to this restaurant and noticing the clientele, I got the impression that the bulk of their customers are regulars. I walked during breakfast hours. There was only one lady working the register and serving although this did not impact service and I was seated right away. There only 2 tables with customers present at the time so that helped. The decor was dated and the tables were pretty worn. My drink order was taken right away and delivered in a reasonable amount of time (coffee.). I was looking through the menu when I was asked if I was ready. I wasn't ready so I advised that I wasn't quite ready and I mention this only because it took an unusually long time for her to check back to see if I was ready. Still pretty sparse customers but with only one staff, it is very easy to get a bit backed up. I placed my order and visited the restroom while I waited. This is probably the worst Denny's bathroom I have visited. It was evident that the urinal had not been cleaned in a very long time due to staining and the smell. There was dried urine stains surrounding the urinal floor which was disgusting. This almost ruined my appetite. The soap and paper towels were well stocked. I ordered the Classic Benny for breakfast. (See below) along with a coffee refill. For some reason, I imagined the egg would be a little runny. Seemed to be cooked completely. Taste was ok, nothing bad to say. I will say that as I cut into the second biscuit, I noted that the egg was runny on that one so I think that the first biscuit's egg was probably over cooked. Overall, I would say the food is what you would expect. Come only if you would like to take your time and have a good slow time having breakfast. I had to hit them hard on the raring for the bathroom. Personally, this concerns me with the cleanliness of the kitchen if they can't maintain the bathroom, just speaks to management control.
