Looking for a quick place to sit down and have a quick meal before getting on the road my husband decided we should eat here. Came in no one at the front. Typical old style Denny's. Half of the restaurant dark with the chairs up on the tables . A few minutes we were seated. There were only 3 other tables occupied in the restaurant. The guy that seated us was also the server. He gave us menus and took our drink orders. When he brought back the drinks were were not ready to order so he said he would give us a few minutes to decide. 20 minutes later we still waiting for him to come back. We finally order it takes another 30 minutes to get our food. My burger needed seasoning and the avocado was past its prime I had to remove half of it from my burger. The fries were good. My husband had the skillet, he enjoyed it. My sons enjoyed their burger as well. They did get one drink refill also. When it was time to leave we had to take the check up to the front and wait a while to pay. I have no desire to return here. read more

Came here to pick up my CURBSIDE order, on a sunday lunch rush. I get it's a busy day, but this establishment was NOT prepared or was really understaffed. They UNHOOKED their phones because it kept "ringing nonstop" - a dennys employee. DENNYS instructions was to CALL when you get there to get your curbside, and they unhooked the phones. SMH. So i walk inside, only to wait 20 minutes for my takeout. Funny because i was late to my pickup time by 30 minutes already. The person upfront preparing orders coming out of the kitchen was off. She was ditzy and went to abandon her spot to go look for caramel sauce for 20 minutes. - the food was STACKING and no one was bagging. We have been coming to this Dennys for 2 years every weekend and lately also during the week days for dinner. Today, we came around 11:30am and my husband tried to order his usual everyday slam with his eggs omelette style(slightly scrambled) and the waitress told him he had to pay extra and also had to get something mixed into his eggs. I go here after work regularly cause I get off of work late at night/early morning. I have to start with the fact that the young lady working the register has zero customer service skills. If she put as much effort into serving customers as she does putting ridiculous jewelry in her face then maybe she would be a decent employee. She always has an attitude like you are bugging her to do her job or that she hates the job. She has given me expired mayo in the past and she has told me that they ran out of bacon. The way she copped any attitude when I went back in and told her I ordered bacon you'd think I told her how ugly she is, inside and out. The cook is decent but the time it takes this location to make an order is far too long especially when there is maybe only one or two tables being served at that hour. Absolutely horrible management. My partner and I had a bad experience at this Dennys location. We were seated by this lovely waitress and she was very attentive and checked in on us a lot. However, we noticed a lot of people around us having to send back their food: it was cold, it was wrong, etc. My own food was delayed by 15 extra minutes even after my partner got his food because the cook made it wrong. The waitress was very stressed and assigned too many tables. We then found out the cook was making the food wrong on purpose. When we all told management about it, she said she was in the wrong. The poor girl was crying and had to go home. This is not right. The manager needs to be kinder to her workers, most of which are in college, and needs to be honest to the customers. I just left Dennys and was kicked out for having "attitude ". Let me make it very clear how Dennys and the restaurant industry is corrupt. My husband and I were first greeted by the only female server there asking if it was going to be a table for two. We declined and told her we were only there to get a Cookie Dough Milkshake without whip cream. It wasn't until I got specific about my order that she became hostile. My husband forgot his wallet in the car so while he went to go grab it quickly I asked politely where the restrooms were located since I haven't ever been at that location before. There were a few new things on the menu and they weren't all that great. I got a build your own sampler platter with mozerellacsticks, maranaria and chips/queso. The chips and queso actually had no flavor. The mozzarella sticks themselves were good. They were actually fresh, and hot and the cheese stretched for miles. The marinara dipping sause that went along with it was actually terrible. The quesadilla was hard and the cheese really tasted like low quality cheese. The chips were fresh but they also had no flavor. I heard if you come here the grand slam breakfast is deffinatly the way to go. I'd like to point out how amazing Chella was today. My coworker and I went there today for breakfast and she really stood out to us. Any opportunity she had, to get something done, she took care of it right away, while seating, checking out customers, and answering the phone. There was another employee up front, forgive me if I spell her name incorrectly, Naz. To be quite honest, I'm not sure what her role was, but I did notice that she was not liking how Chella was delegating. Our waiter was Arturo. He was okay, but he wasn't too happy that Chella sat us in a certain area away from his other customers. He also was very quiet and it was hard to tell what he was saying because it sounded like he was whispering. I felt bad for Chella because she was so busy with all the customers that were arriving, leaving and picking up and she had NO help. As for the food, they must of had an amazing cook today. They made the most perfect scrambled eggs and hashbrowns, it wasn't overcooked like at a lot of other places. Overall, I'd come back here again because of Chella and the food. We go to Denny's 4 times a month, I'm sure. Not just this one. I do not like the one in Elk Grove. Overall Denny's is a great breakfast place, and late night place. Their dinner menu needs some work, but their food is generally pretty good. Their coffee is great. Most of the servers are good, a few are great and some, not so great.
