I've been to a lot of Denny's and this one is by far the cleanest and best service! The staff were all very nice.

Went to Denny's around 10pm last night. All the staff was sitting around in the lobby just hanging out. We were the only customers there so didn't think too much of it. We sat down and it took a while to have our order taken (maybe 10mins). The waitress was helpful and friendly but let us know that her shift was ending soon and that someone else would be taking care of us. We were a party of 3 and we all ordered burgers and fries. The food took at least 30mins to come out, 2 of the orders were wrong I initially. Once we got the correct order, my burger was missing the caramelized onions. I let the waiter know and he apologized and brought some back in a bowl. The bowl of onions was cold and the onions were frozen and still had ice crystals on them. Needless to say, I didn't use the onions at all. The burgers were bland, as were the fries, and everything was absolutely awful. As we were paying at the front, we also noticed that the only cook in the kitchen, making the food, was not wearing gloves. Absolutely disgusting and inexcusable. We will never be back to this location and they definitely need management to hold them accountable. The only positive is that the 2 wait staff we had were friendly, but the service was not up to standards. read more

I want to start off by saying that my review is solely based off a one time stop at this particular location and based off of one amazing waiter. I am from California and my immediate family and I came to San Antonio Texas to visit some family. We are very fond of Dennys from where we come from since it is open 24 hours and provide good to great food for a reasonable price. Therefore, when we arrived to Texas, we were pretty much HANGRY from the ride over here and decide to eat at our nearest Dennys on Tuesday, August 8th 2017 @ 2:30pm. Upon arriving, we were stoked at the authenticity of the building. Made us feel like we were traveling back in time or something. When we entered the facility, we were received enthusiastically by a waiter named Javier (He is the reason why I am reviewing this particular Dennys). He made us feel like he was happy for us to be there and had us decided where we wanted to sit at. Once we sat down, he brought our menus and asked what we wanted for our beverages (as per usual). But what made him stand out from that moment on was the way he delivered his customer service. Asking for our beverages may seem like common thing for a waiter to ask for but the way Javier did was different. He used very proper manners by addressing us as mam and sir (might be something silly and small but it started our dining experience very well). He was attentive and made eye contact with you when speaking to you. At one moment, I was on the phone making an important call so I overheard him apologizing for "speaking too loud" and started to whisper while asking my husband if he needed more time deciding what he wanted to eat. Another small gesture yet made me (as a customer) feel like I matter and that he will go the extra mile to provide me with extraordinary service. Also, throughout the time we were there he was very attentive of us and made sure we were well taken care of without making us feel smothered and annoyed. I have been to "high end" restaurants where my husband and I alone would spend like $300 on just our food and receive 5 service from our waiter but I mean that is something that should be provided when spending that much money at one restaurant, yet dining at Dennys where a family of four only spent a little less than $20 and receive that kind of service just blew my mind. As I mention before, we have been to a load full of Dennys back in our home state as well as across the west side of the country (we travel a lot), but we have never encountered someone with such great service. Therefore, I wanted to thank Javier for the amazing experience that this location and will definitely come back. (Hopefully our tip and note expressed our gratitude). read more

This place is nice looking has great food and wonderful service. I'm a vegetarian and usually make strange orders, each time I come they always accommodate my strange orders don't look at me like I'm weird and I always get really good food. You can have any of the burgers with a veggie patty and there are other options that you can change out as well. read more

The replacements on the wait staff are simply sub par and management seems to have taken a turn for the worse. It would have been a decent time, but a waitress named Laura lied about item menus being substituted. She said it was no charge with our current meal, and explained bread can be subed for bread items no problem, same goes meat for meat. I made a order to go for the banana pecan pancake breakfast for the next day. I substituted egg whites for over easy ones, and turkey bacon for reg. She over priced everything and said it was a seperate breakfast all together so she charged each item like that. We use to come here a lot and never have I gotten such attitude from her when I asked her about it, apparently she fucked up the group of people who left before us as well.
