My husband & I (we) found Dr. Kaiser in our in network dental plan & found her facility conveniently located. We went in to see Dr. Kaiser for a routine exam & cleaning. What we ended up with was dental malpractice by a dentist who's more concerned about taking our money than caring for our well being. Our impression of Dr. Kaiser is that she lacks experience & that she is desperate for money. When my husband went in for his exam & cleaning, Dr. Kaiser convinced him that he needed multiple fillings redone. Alyse at the front desk immediately pressured my husband into booking multiple appointments to have Dr. Kaiser replace his fillings. Then, Alyse immediately made my husband pay upfront for the exam, cleaning & for all of the future appointments to have Dr. Kaiser replace the multiple fillings. My husband had to pay upfront for work that hadn't even been done. During all of my husband's visits, Dr. Kaiser's stomach wouldn't stop growling. On one occasion, Dr. Kaiser didn't administer enough anesthetic on my husband & she continued to drill on his teeth. My husband was in shock & in extreme pain. Dr. Kaiser didn't apologize nor demonstrate empathy towards my husband's pain. Rather, Dr. Kaiser appeared more inconvenienced that she had to administer more of her anesthesia on my husband. Also, Dr. Kaiser didn't take the time to check my husband's bite after she would replace a filling. Nor, did she take the time to have him try on his existing Invisalign retainer to ensure it fit back on him. After each of my husband's visits, he would reach out to Dr. Kaiser's office to inform them that he felt a lot of discomfort & pain on the teeth that Dr. Kaiser had worked on & that his existing Invisalign retainer no longer fit him. Alyse then booked one appointment for my husband to have Dr. Kaiser fix the problem. Upon my husband's return visit, Dr. Kaiser's demeanor towards my husband was rude & she appeared inconvenienced. Dr. Kaiser took a quick look at my husband's teeth & she wouldn't acknowledge her wrong doing. Nor, did she make an effort to identify the cause of the pain. Dr. Kaiser was not empathetic towards my husband's pain. Rather, Dr. Kaiser, quickly filed just one of the fillings she had replaced. Again, Dr. Kaiser didn't check my husband's bite thereafter. Dr. Kaiser also didn't check to see if my husband's Invisalign fit back on him. My husband informed Dr. Kaiser that he still felt discomfort & pain. But, Dr. Kaiser told my husband that she was done & escorted him to Alyse. Dr. Kaiser then instructed Alyse to bill our dental insurance for that return visit as an occlusal adjustment. Which, Dr. Kaiser didn't' do. Of course, our dental insurance declined this last claim. It was also our understanding that a reputable dentist would've corrected their dental malpractice at no charge to the insurance nor to the patient. But, Dr. Kaiser didn't give up there. Dr. Kaiser sent my husband an additional bill claiming that it was for a balance remaining for his exam & cleaning visit. Which, was false because my husband had already paid Dr. Kaiser upfront in full for all services rendered. My husband's teeth remained in pain thereafter because Dr. Kaiser didn't fix the problem she had caused to my husband's teeth. Not once did Dr. Kaiser's office make an effort to reach out to my husband to check on him. My husband ended up going to a reputable dentist where it was found that my husband had exposed nerves on the multiple fillings that Dr. Kaiser had replaced. Thank goodness for this reputable dentist who corrected the mediocre work that Dr. Kaiser performed on my husband. I also had a bad experience w/Dr. Kaiser. When I went in for my cleaning & exam, I immediately felt uneasy & in pain. Dr. Kaiser abruptly yanked my lower lip & jaw with a tight grip during the entire visit. Dr. Kaiser was also very aggressive w/her dental pick on my gums & existing veneers. This caused my gums to bleed a lot during the visit & for hours thereafter. I sensed that Dr. Kaiser lacked experience & that she has bad bedside manners because her stomach wouldn't stop growling. Dr. Kaiser didn't demonstrate any empathy towards me. Nor, did she ask me how I was doing during my visit. Dr. Kaiser didn't perform the exam & cleaning w/gentleness, ease & consistency like that of an experienced hygienist or dentist. At the end of my visit with Dr. Kaiser, Alyse immediately had me pay for the exam & cleaning visit. Alyse was also pushy w/me insisting I move forward w/Dr. Kaiser's treatment proposal & paying for it upfront. The proposal consisted of multiple fillings to be redone & a crown replacement. Needless to say, I didn't move forward w/Dr. Kaiser's treatment proposal. My jaw, lips, cheeks & gums remained sore for a week thereafter. I ended up going to a reputable dentist for a second opinion. I was then informed that I only needed one filling redone; & that my existing crown was in great shape & didn't need to be replaced. read more

If you're reading this you're probably trying to evaluate which dentist you should choose. I'd like to help make your decision easier. I travel from WA to CA to see Dr. Kaiser for a few reasons: 1) her precision dentistry 2) her professional demeanor 3) her high standards. I visited 8/20/20 for a crown and two fillings replaced. My expectation was discomfort and/or pain following my appointment and I experienced neither. I'm still amazed she can administer high quality service with low impact delivery. Found this nice dentist office on apple maps and decided to book an appointment for a long-overdue checkup. I was greeted at the front desk by the very friendly lady named Breia and she helped me get seen quickly. I then had my xrays done by the kind lady named Tina. Shortly after, Dr. Lee did a great job explaining to me the results of the check-up. They advised me that my teeth and gums were in fairly good condition plus other useful info about teeth & gum care and so I insisted I did the basic cleaning that was recommended. Wynnie (DDS) did a flawless job performing the teeth clean and also gave me so much useful information throughout the procedure. She was very knowledgeable as well as skilled and it was clear she was very experienced. My experience here at Summerview Dental Care was 5 stars and was highly satisfied with my visit. All the ladies were very kind and good-spirited as well as honest and the energy in the office was uplifing. I will be back in 6 months for my next check-up. I'm glad I found a home dentist that I can lock in with going forward. read more

I had gone to 4 other dentists and all 4 had varying opinions about the work I needed to have done. These other dentists wanted to do crowns - sometimes two crowns, sometimes one; overlays were suggested, but insurance wouldn't cover that! Dr Kaiser gave me two fillings and I am good to go! I have been seeing Dr. Kaiser since she opened her practice in Los Alamitos. She is, by far, the most experienced dentist I have been to. She has done extensive work for me with implants and crowns. Never a short cut in the quality of her care. The best thing about her work is the fact that she isn't satisfied with an adequate result. She wants each implant, filling, crowns. etc. to be perfect. The contour and shading must be exact. The lab she selected to work with has the same high standards. They have been a team for many years. She works hard to insure that the end result is a pleased client. I tried another dentist for a short time and then returned to her practice. Amazing people, make you feel welcome. I had a major dental surgery that lasted 6 1/2 hours and doctor Carlos and her assistants were amazing, didn't feel any pain , discomfort, very caring professionals. Everybody is so nice. I actually don't mind going to this dentist at all, I used to hate going to the dentist but now thanks to this place I don't stress about it anymore. Like many people, I've spent most of my life pretty much detesting the dentist (sorry, Dr. Kaiser!). My trauma goes back to a childhood dentist who didn't believe in numbing his patients--and literally, the smell of a dental office can raise my blood pressure. Thankfully for me, Dr. Kaiser's office isn't the norm. Walking in, you feel like you're in a spa rather than a medical office. It is decorated beautifully and somehow doesn't have that "smell" that sends me over the edge. The staff is friendly and they do everything to make you feel comfortable. There is a fridge stocked with drinks, they offer a paraffin wax treatment when you sit down, and offer to turn on the TV. Roberta cleans my teeth and she is absolutely wonderful--gentle and thorough. Dr. Kaiser is extremely competent and she always explains exactly what she is doing which eases a lot of my anxiety. I can't say I don't get nervous on the day of my appointment, but since going to Dr. Kaiser my outlook is decidedly better. Kudos to Dr. Kaiser and staff! read more

If I could give less than one star I would. Do not walk but run fast and far from this business. Totally shady, unethical, unprofessional, and out to make a buck at the patient expense. I urge you not to patronize this business unless you want to go through what I have experienced. I went in for a consultation approximately a month ago. I was told I needed Invisalign, dental implants and veneers. To begin with they quoted me a price for almost 8,000 for the Invisalign for just my lower teeth. The girl at the front desk referred me to a loan company as my credit did not qualify me for that amount. I applied for the loan and the funds were immediately transferred to the dental office. The following day after I thought about it I decided I didn't want to take out a 5 year loan paying back close to 15,000 on a 7,000 loan. I called the loan company and they informed me I needed to contact the dental office and request they return the funds. I did that. It has now been a couple of days short of a month and the dental office still has not returned the funds to the loan company. Meanwhile I am getting payment reminders for an upcoming payment that is due on funds I never utilized. The dental office claims the office manager that is no longer working there is responsible for returning the funds. The regional manager has supposedly been notified and when I spoke with the loan company today they tell me the refund has not been initiated by the dental office. I called my attorney today and will not only be taking the dental office to court but also the loan company. If you value your sanity you will run from this so called "business ". I have been seeing Dr. Kaiser for a year. I recently switched my children over to her as well. She is very down to earth, honest and most importantly on time! She has our best "health" interest in mind. I began invisalign recently and the office calls to follow up with me to make sure that I am doing well. I came here initially because of tooth pain, I purchased a Groupon for teeth cleaning and checkup. When I showed up they told me the Groupon only covered the front teeth for the x-ray and to upgrade I paid 250$ for my whole mouth. I then spent over 4K+ on fixing all the issues and still had the tooth pain. I then contacted Long Beach Family Dentist, they gave me an X-ray of my full mouth for 75$ and found my molar was cracked, they pulled the tooth for 250$ that same day and pain was gone. They even offered no interest financing on this small amount. I will never return to Montage, Dr. Kaiser has snapped at her assistant in front of me on multiple occasions and it just felt wrong. I also paid for a fluoride treatment and every time I came in asked for it and they always forgot to give it. I then asked for my money back and they only keep contacting me for a stupid dental plan they offer. No I don't want your dental plan and shame on you for ripping people off! read more

I've been going to Montage Dentistry for 15+ years. Dr. Kaiser, Riannon, and Roxanne the Hygienist are all very professional, super friendly and very efficient. When I come in for my scheduled appointments, there is very little waiting time before I am seen for my appointment which is important to me. If my appointment is for teeth cleaning by Roxanne, Dr. Kaiser will usually check my teeth afterwards just as a second check to make sure she doesn't see something unusual. When I have seen Dr. Kaiser for something more serious, she always explains what the treatment plan will be and I get a written copy emailed to me. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but Dr. Kaiser always makes sure I'm comfortable when performing any major dental work. Recently, I had some pain and discomfort with one of my molars and it was on a weekend. I called the office and was able to reach Dr. Kaiser quickly. She gave me options to try some pain relievers, but if the pain persisted she would see me on Sunday. She checked on me Sunday, and fortunately the pain was minimized for me to wait until she could fit me in the following week and fix my molar issue!! read more

Let me start with the positive. The office is beautiful and always very clean. The staff is very friendly, but the friendliness sometimes causes them to go over the appointment time, which is great...IF it's your appointment. If you're waiting to be seen, it's not so great b/c you're stuck waiting. I have been going here for years, purely out of convenience (b/c of the location). After all this time, I am finally moving on. I always show up a little early or on time b/c my husband has to watch my younger one while I'm here. I try to get there asap, so I can get out faster for him to return to work. They always make me wait an extra 30 minutes past my appointment time (usually b/c they're chatting away with a patient..and it's not about dental stuff). There have been times where I have wanted to walk out, but when I threaten to do so, they tell me they'll take me in soon. For the past couple of years, I have been complaining about pain on a particular tooth. They always dismissed it and now the pain has gotten so bad that I am just used to not chewing anything on that side of my mouth. Finally, she said, there was something she can do to help fix it. She said she would write up a treatment plan and call me in for an appointment. Weeks passed and no call. It wasn't until I contacted them that they said they'd write up a treatment plan. It wasn't for another couple of days that a treatment plan was sent via email. Then, they told me to call to make an appointment instead of reaching out to me. I'm tired of being the one taking initiative. I wonder if they would've ever called if I didn't contact them first! Anyway, they've been nice people, but I don't need nice people, I need good dental care. read more

I came to this dentist in September of 2015, because 1) it was close to my job at the time, and 2) I could get a Friday afternoon appointment, which the dentist I have been going to for my entire life couldn't unfortunately. Side note: said dentist has also worked on my whole family for most of their lives so easy to say I trust their opinion greatly. When visiting the office I will say it is very clean and doesn't have the typical dentist office vibe. Each chair has its own tv, although they are all in one large room with dividers separating which is a little strange to me as I could hear other people getting their teeth worked on and their conversations with the dentist. The cleaning didn't really feel like a cleaning at all. It seamed like they were very intent on telling me how bad my gums were and digging into them. I have normally gone to the dentist every 6 months for most of my life ( although on I did miss a few appointments before this boat so it had been about a year and a half) and I have never had my mouth hurt as bad as it did after seeing this dentist. For multiple days. After the "cleaning" she informed me I had multiple "decaying" teeth. And that all of them needed to be filled. Since I've had one cavity my whole life I was a little shocked. They then brought me into a separate room and informed me the thousands of dollars this was going to cost, and since my insurance wasn't covered, it would be out of pocket. Here's where I got upset. I specifically asked when booking the appointment to please let me know if my insurance was excepted by them. They said they would check and let me know... Even day of they still maintained my insurance was excepted by them. It's not. Needless to say I went back to my original dentist. Yes I have ONE cavity not multiple. I truly felt like I was being told I had multiple problems at this dentist to rack up a bill. Since I went back to my old dentist, montage dentistry made it difficult for my dentist to get a copy of the X-rays they took, I had to call and request them. Also they have been emailing me every other day for the past two weeks and now are calling me to schedule a appointment. When they called 5 months ago following up after the original appointment I said I wasn't coming back, so it's real annoying that the keep trying to get me to come back. Bottom line... I wouldn't recommend this place to any friends or family. But hey they do have a hand wax for you while they drill in your mouth.. So there's that. : / read more

Dr. Kaiser is a very good dentist and the staff is very good, too. The office is clean and modern. X-rays are taken digitally, which they claim means less radiation. As with any medical provider, make sure you check with your insurance beforehand to verify how much they pay. About the only negative is that they will sometimes try to up-sell you products or services you don't need, can get less expensively elsewhere, or aren't covered by insurance. read more

Dr. Kaiser is top of her game. She took so much time with me to explain what were my dental options. I felt that she was on my side not just trying to do the most expensive procedure like so many other dentists that I have seen!!!! My cleaning was thorough and done very well. I have been going to Dr. Kaiser for over 16 years. My dentist retired and I was lucky enough to have Dr. Kaiser take over his practice. Over the years, she has provided excellent care to myself and my teeth. She never pushes any treatment plan unless she strongly feels it is necessary and without first consulting and discussing with me. I appreciate it when she takes the time to explain why she will wait to do something but also explain the physiology of my teeth and what is happening in my mouth as time goes on. I think this is important because dental work can be expensive and I know she realizes that and why she discusses options with the patient. The works she does is amazing as well. I kid you not that I have fillings that look so natural that when I went for my physical, the doctor admired that I did not have one cavity when she took at a look in my mouth. Little did she know that I have a few fillings. The other team members are great as well. Rhiannon and Roxanne are very professional in what they do.
