PAD THAI (Gluten Free), TOM YUM NOODLE SOUP (Gluten Free), CHICKEN DUMPLING

The food was sooo delicious...very flavorful! I ordered the pad Thai, chicken dumplings and tom yum noodle soup. The soup was DELICIOUS!!! The service is fast and attentive. Vibe is super cozy. Loved it!

My favorite Thai spot in the city! They have an amazing green curry. Anytime I'm craving a Thai iced tea, this is where I go. The restaurant is small but there's usually a table or two available. Super cozy. Attentive staff. Quick turnaround. Check it out if you're nearby.

I had a wonderful time at Der Krung. The snug, interior setting had about five families worth of booths, which we snagged the last of sitting down for dinner. There was only one person working front of house, but he did an excellent job juggling all the tables' needs. We got our food surprisingly fast, in about 10 minutes from ordering, getting the Chicken Satay kebab, massaman curry, pad thai, spring salad, and kee mao. Everything was very flavorful, filling, well-prepared, and matching its price point. The one exception was the pad thai, which was super heavily seasoned. Despite one of the most popular dishes at a Thai place falling flat, I was still very happy with my experience. I'd give it closer to a 4.5/5 , but would recommend you try it if in the neighborhood!

They have a good lunch deal here where you get an entree with salad. I liked the pad thai but I wished it was spicier and it was pretty generic, nothing stood out. The restaurant is quite small. The staff were nice and we received the food quickly.

A rather cozy hole-in-the-wall Thai joint on the upper border of Hell's Kitchen. Pretty standard menu, where the noodle dishes seem to be the local favorite. Everything we had was tasty and satisfying. Fresh Summer Roll: Got this because of a vegetarian at our table. It was pretty standard for a spring roll and I guess the fried tofu was an ok substitute for shrimp. Though I really did like the dipping sauce which was a mash up of sweet chili and peanut sauce. Curry Puff: For the non-vegetarians at the table. A flaky empanada-like shell with lightly curried chicken bits inside. Tasted nice with the tangy vinegar sauce. Pad Thai w/ Chicken: Kind of a cliché to order nowadays, but it's just so delicious. Perfectly springy rice noodles that absorbed so much of the yummy sauce. Lots of peanuts and egg bits. And hearty chicken. Maybe I'm basic for ordering this, but I can live with that. Kee Mao w/ Crispy Pork Belly: Thick rice noodles that are "drunk" with savory sauce. I got the 2-star spicy and it tasted like they mixed in a bunch of sambal, though wasn't too spicy. The noodles were fine, but the Pad Thai noodles tasted better. Though the pork belly protein option was huge! It didn't feel as fatty as pork belly though, more like boneless pork chop with some fatty bits too. Get the pork belly if you're really hungry!

The most wonderful red curry and rice (one bowl of rice is included!). Portion sizes that just make sense; although, I ended up enjoying the red curry so much that I asked for a second bowl of rice. The service was fantastic. The restaurant is quite small, so large parties likely wouldn't fit, but we really enjoyed our visit. I will be back!

Came here at 5pm on a Tuesday, before a 7pm Broadway show, and the place was empty. Where have you heard that before? Wife's $19 eggplant dish came with hunks of eggplant, fried tofu, bell peppers, onions and sliced carrots in a spicy basil sauce. Went well with the white rice, as all the vegetables had plenty of spice with the bell peppers and the chili type sauce. Wife loved the eggplant, and I loved the fried tofu. The $20 lovely nest was the Thai version of the bird nest version found in Chinese restaurants. Came with chicken, onions, bell peppers, carrot, cashew nuts and pineapple in a rice crispy noodle nest. Pineapple sauce so sweet, I used it as dressing for the leaves of salad used as decoration on the bottom. Resembles cashew nut chicken. Mixed it with the white rice to tone it down a bit, but I treated it like a stew. Place was packed by the time we left at 5:40pm, as place has at most half a dozen tables, maybe 4 seating 2 people and 2 seating 4 people. Asked for medium spicy eggplant, but found it lacking in enough heat for our tastes. I guess locals not used to serious heat found in CA cooking back home.

The place is tiny (seats 15 at most). Mostly tables for two. The biggest table is for four. You'll be sitting very close and tight with your neighbors. Not for large groups. This place gets packed after work--everyone goes in for a quick meal. In and out in 30 minutes. Get a reservation, if you'd like to guarantee yourself a spot. We got Thai iced tea, KEE MAO (Drunken Noodle) and chicken PANANG CURRY. I was surprised to see how the prices have jumped from $14 to $17 per entree. You can find cheaper, same quality Thai all over 9 Avenue and the rest of Manhattan. The food was standard and nothing I'd return for. Standard Thai ice tea. Drunken noodle with pork ($17) was hearty and had enough protein to noodle. Chicken Panang curry was tasty. Biggest complaint--the door was opened every two minutes (deliveries, patrons coming and going), so everyone at the restaurant had to sit in their coat. I got so cold, that I could barely move my fingers when the check came. Definitely try to avoid peak meal times, so you are not subjected to constant gusts of wind and cold. Service was nonexistent.

The place is small, but I've been to smaller establishments and it adds to to small, cozy aesthetic of the restaurant! I came in at 7:30 and was able to get a seat, despite it being 80% full. I know you might want to get pad see ew and pad thai, BUT trust me a true thai establishment will be better than just those dishes and it was! I got the Noodle Curry with chicken and it was warm, soupy, and heartening to my soul. Would definitely come back again! My friend and I also got the curry puffs as an app and it was delicious! In terms of service they did forget I got an order to go for my bf, but immediately rushed the order and received it within 5 minutes. Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Taste: 5/5

Cute little Thai spot with fresh delicious food! I really enjoyed the tofu summer rolls, fresh vegetables and the peanut sauce is yummy. The pad Thai was flavorful and glad the noodles weren't dry, green curry was delicious too and has a little kick to it & we asked for mild too. Staff was very friendly and attentive, definitely will come back again!

The Thai was absolutely amazing! I got the pad see ew and it was just as amazing as many expensive Thai restaurants I've tried. We got a table right away and the service was great.

I wasn't here for long, just stopped in to kill time before meeting a friend next door for drinks. All I wanted was a little bite to eat and a glass of water and to use a clean restroom while I waited out the rain, and it was a great spot for it! Nice, cozy spot with friendly staff and quick service. The gai satay was flavorful, and it was a relatively large portion, too. Overall, a quick but very pleasant experience in a spot that seemed to be full of regulars, so it seems locally well-liked.

We had a massive, family style, order from here. Coming highly recommended by a friend, I had very high expectations for this restaurant and boy did they deliver. We ordered the drunken noodles, the curry noodle, the green curry, the red curry, and pad Thai. The curry was fantastic- spicy yet not overwhelming and flavorful. The perfect texture (not too watery / not too thick) and a great array of veggies inside. The green and red curry came with rice on the side which was perfect. The calamari in the curry was soft and tender. A great chew and an incredible addition. The pad Thai was surprisingly not as flavorful as the drunken noodles. Usually I go for pad Thai more than drunken noodles but I was pleasantly surprised with how much better the latter tasted and looked. I kept going back for more. The food came quickly and the serving size was really good. Overall the dishes were a bit on the pricey side but it was worth every penny when just one spoonful of green curry satisfied every unsolved craving I'd had. Really looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!

Not all midtown restaurants stay open past 10, and I was relieved to find their kitchen going strong at that hour, as well as their dining space, which was full. Turned out it was for good reason because their food was delicious. My friend and I were hoping to eat at a restaurant nearby specializing in crab, but they closed much earlier. Fortunately for us, SaiTong's menu had plenty of crab on it, and we decided to double up and make each of our entree's a crab one. The black spaghetti crab curry and crab curry noodles advertised themselves as being very different dishes in both presentation and ingredients but ended up tasting kind of similar. One was topped with deep fried crab and used a different type of noodle than the other, but the sauces were so similar. This is not to say that they didn't taste good, but I would've preferred more variance. I'm glad we got an order of papaya salad to cut the richness of the other dishes, and I also appreciated it had a nice level of heat in it. Our servers were really friendly without being overbearing, and let us linger for a bit even after we paid the bill, as it was their last seating for the evening. There are so many excellent Thai restaurants in the city and I'd put SaiTong firmly in the category of perfectly solid spots to get your Thai fix, with some special dishes on the chef's menu worth checking out.
