The interior is very ornate, dim lighting sets the mood for dinner, and the servers were efficient but good salespeople (for the desserts). The mango sticky rice was fire! The duck curry was quite flavorful - but eat the duck fast or the crispiness will go away. My favorite savory was the sea bass as the fish was soft and flaky with the sweet salty coconut milk!

This was a restaurant we saw on socials, and it tempted us to go in. We went on a Tuesday night, after dinner rush. They had 2 seats available at the bar with a 30 min wait. After we walked away to kill time, they called us back within 5 min. The bar was great, and I loved our bartender. But if you can get a reservation for table seats, do that. All the food we had was delicious. We also got coconut juice. I don't really like coconut that much, but my husband does. The juice was really good! Worth a try. Would definitely go back, and I recommend anyone try it. Best Thai food I've had anywhere.

The ambiance of the restaurant is very beautiful. Unfortunately they do pack you in right next to everyone. The red curry was very delicious and was modifiable. Super yummy and good texture tofu as well. Service was also really good. Prices are kind of high. Would definitely recommend.

We had a reservation but weren't allowed in until our full party showed up, but even after that we still had to wait additional time. The decor & ambiance was my favorite part and I enjoyed my meal as well. However, the service was little disappointing as we got ignored multiple times and the server was a little passive. The dessert was also disappointing, we decided to stay for that because it was more convenient than going somewhere else. But, the Thai tea lava cake barely had any actual Thai tea and was basically just a regular cake with ice cream.

Loved this place!! Tried the fried tofu appetizer and it wasn't too spicy and very crispy. I also got the tofu eggplant, and it was very flavorful, and not too sweet. The massaman curry was also flavorful, but a little too sweet for our liking (tasted more like yellow curry, and less of the peanut taste we are used to) Nevertheless, I really liked their GIANT trifold menu and we will definitely be back to try the rest. Amazing ambiance inside (I ADORED the gold hanging decor on the ceiling) Bathrooms were very clean and staff was so efficient and friendly. They refilled water all the time and brought out food very quickly. We were celebrating a birthday but there was nothing brought out, so I don't think they have that kind of service here. It didn't feel super super upscale but also not just your average Thai restaurant. It was very crowded, but we felt like we had adequate space to move around and enjoy our meal.

After living in nyc all my life, I FINALLY tried Thai Villa and it does live up to the hype!! It's the og, but has sister restaurants, Pranakhon (Thai) + La Dong (Viet/Thai Fusion), all of which are great restaurants! The main bad thing here is the wait, if you're a walk in. We did walk in for party of 2 on a Saturday and waited almost 75 min for a table! We were STARVING by the time we were seated at the bar and ordered Curry Puffs to start off. They were DELISH - the puff pastry was light, and airy and the sauce complimented it very well. We both ordered Tofu Pad Thai and it was honestly very good. I'm critical when it comes to Pad Thai bc it's the baseline Thai dish. If THE classic noodle dish is bad, then the restaurant is bad overall, but the Pad Thai here was SO GOOD! It wasn't super sweet at all, like some other places, and had a great amount of mixed eggs, bean sprouts, and green onions. Thai Villa isn't as big as I thought, but there's a good amount of seating. Staff is very attentive and great at recommending dishes. Would def return, however I'd lean towards making a reservation or prepare to kill time for walk in.

I've had Thai Village on my list for ages and completely forgot about it, but a little twist of fate brought us here. My friend and I were heading somewhere else for dinner, but our original spot was closed for a private event. We decided to pivot and come here instead, and it worked out very much in our favor! I actually just got back from a trip to Thailand, so I went in with high hopes but a curious mind about how the authenticity and flavors would compare. While there were naturally a few little differences in taste here and there compared to being on the ground in Thailand, it didn't dim the deliciousness whatsoever. The food here is absolutely stellar. We decided to sit at the bar, and both bartenders who looked after us were incredibly friendly, helpful, and super clear when explaining the specials. I asked one of them for their favorite recommendations, and it did not disappoint. Here is what we ordered: Pineapple Fried Rice ($21): We ordered it without adding any protein, and it was packed with flavor. Highly recommend. Pad Thai ($24): We added beef to this one, but honestly, the noodles were so incredibly flavorful on their own that it didn't even need the additive! Thong Pan Sai Gai ($17): These looked almost like little tacos but were uniquely delicious. Papaya Salad ($16) & Satay Spring Rolls ($16): Perfect, fresh starters to kick off the meal. Mango Sticky Rice ($17): A must try for dessert. They use purple rice for this, and it was so yummy. For drinks, my friend ordered a Lycheetini ($19) and loved it. I had the Tangmo, Tangmo, Tangmo ($20) which was nice and refreshing. Even though our meal was a mix of great apps and sides, it was incredibly filling. We actually walked out with leftovers. The prices are very fair for the quality and portion sizes you get. We will absolutely be returning!

Stopped by Thai Villa for dinner and ordered the Pad Thai and Pad Krapow. I asked if the spice level was Thai spicy or Americanized and was told Thai spicy -but there was barely any heat at all. The food was decent but definitely lacked the bold spice I was expecting. I wish I had ordered something much spicier or emphasized it more. We also seemed to be the only Asian table there, which might explain the toned-down flavors. Great for vibes and drinks. Not for me though.

Thai Villa is perfect for those nights you really want to experience a beautiful ambiance. The decor and lighting gives romantic but also inviting. We went on a Saturday night after 5p with no reservations and had the option of a long wait time or sitting at the bar so we opted for the bar. The staff was friendly and the bartender was patient as I asked a couple of menu questions and later had to exchange my alcoholic drink for a non-alcoholic one. The food was just OK, I've had better Thai food at causal mom and pop spots. For appetizers we had wings, salmon puffs and for the entree the duck and unfortunately these dishes didn't have that freshly prepared and made to order taste. I would still say give it a try maybe a different night or different dishes will yield different results. Sidenote - a specific but notable restaurant feature that I appreciate is a clean, esthetically pleasing bathroom area with sinks separate from the toilets.

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in all of nyc!! First off it is absolutely beautiful in there! The ambiance is perfect for a group dinner that's elevated. The prices were so reasonable and the service is extremely fast while not feeling like you're being pushed out! The food for me is a 11/10! It is flavorful, spicy (if you wish), and really hits the spot every time! I've had this delivered before as well and it travels so well too! Definitely will keep coming back!

Came here after our original location was having a private event but so glad we did. From start to finish we were greeted with such hospitality and the service alone would make me come back, from the hostess to the servers/bartenders taking time to answer all menu questions. The bartender suggested some appetizers which we ended up getting their version of a chicken taco which was delicious. All the dishes were so full of flavor that you didn't need to add anything additional. Food was amazing, great portions! Definitely would come back to get more dishes.

Speedy and friendly service. Gorgeous ambiance. Food is spectacular! Scallop skewers were sweet and savory and the perfect starter for two people. Coconut sea bass was light and flaky and full of flavor. Must get the Koong Tod Kleu which is sautéed fried shrimp in a shrimp tomalley sauce that was my absolute favorite dish for the night. Great drinks too!

    What is the noise level?

We had no issues with noise levels and were able to easily communicate within our party of 7.

    Do they serve alcohol?

Yes they do! They have a great cocktail list!

So is everything halal? Because I see you guys serve pork? First of all thank you for answering, but…

I do believe they use all meats where Halal way of butchery was used. This way there's options for various cultures.…

    Are they delivering now?

    Yes they are

Is all the meat halal? is the restaurant partially halal?

They serve pork. It's not halal.

Do you have your own parking lot? Is a safe neibor hood parking on the street?

They do not have a parking lot it is on 19th street if you go at night you will find parking right on the block

    Is there parking close by?

    Plenty of street parking

Do they rush you out if it is getting close to 3:15?

No... 3:15 is the kitchen closed. I arrived 10min before 3 pm they just asked us to order everything at once, food was served fast, and the server came to our table again to ask if we had to order more (final call when is 3:15)

Washroom location (ie - need to use stairs)?

Do not have to use stairs. It is towards the back of the restaurant.

Do they have happy hour on weekends?

Do they have outdoor heaters? Are they on yet?

    There are heaters.

Do I need to show my vaccination card if I take a outdoor seating?

No that's only for inside. You can still go inside for bathroom use without vax card. But you can call and ask to make sure

Will I need a reservation for a Monday for lunch for 5 people?

You can use RESY app to make reservation.

    Can I bring my baby?

    Yes.

    Is there indoors dining?

    Yes

    Is the meat halal?

No it is not halal. It is Regular meat

Is there anything special you could have for someone's birthday?

They'll provide a candle if you order dessert, but nothing for free. In fact, if you bring anything in, like a cake or even just a single slice of cake, they charge you $5 per person for having that.

Can this restaurant accommodate large parties?

I believe the largest party they can accommodate is 6 people for the time being

It shows curbside pickup is not available. Is this accurate? Was really hoping to drive into Manhattan tomorrow in the afternoon and know street parking is always difficult. Please advise. Thanks

You can't really park around this area. But you can order in advance and pick it up, if you come with someone to do so quickly while you are waiting in a car or you have to drive around. I've done it, but tricky.

I'm wondering when is the last order for the restaurant? Does the restaurant closed at 22:15 sharp…

Last order is at 22.00. You can still eat after 22.00 but you cannot order anything, not even drinks or coffee.

The restaurant was busy and I was by…read moremyself so I was happy to sit at the bar, and was attended to by the most sweet bartender ever. Very polite, professional and attentive. I first ordered the crispy spring rolls, which were very good. For my main I had the Massaman Curry. Now folks, this is my favorite curry of all time -- actually one of my favorite foods of all time -- and while it's common in LA where I used to live, it's not as common where I live now, in the Bay Area. And the restaurants that do carry it usually do not make it right and it's not very good. I am used to Massaman in the traditional preparation where it's more like a beef stew made with chunks of beef and needs to cook overnight. When done right it is the most aromatic curry ever -- it's almost like an aphrodisiac! -- and the beef comes out oh so tender. Usually if places have this curry but then offer a choice of protein, then it generally is not cooked properly, and that is actually how they prepare it at SaiTong. But because of such great reviews I decided to take a chance and try it. Well, let me tell you, it was definitely not the norm...it was absolutely delicious! I had it with chicken (they serve breast as default), and the chicken soaked up the curry really nicely. I also asked for there to be no onions, which I think alters the flavor of a curry too much. It does include the traditional potatoes and peanuts, and the potatoes were fine and cut into nice little chunks, the peanuts actually were thrown in raw.. what I think is the more traditional way which is to actually burn the peanuts a little bit, but that's okay, it didn't take down the dish any. Their brown rice is of the very dark kind, which I like, and goes so well with the curry. Service was wonderful from the bartender but was also provided by the rest of the staff and everyone was so nice. I left there feeling so satisfied, and cannot wait to go back and try some other dishes.
