Food was surprisingly delicious, my visit was a surprise from my wife for my birthday and I admit. I loved it . I love cars and eating and the fact that I can do both here is 10/10. Very nice cars to view awhile eating a good meal. Service was fast, I had no issues with this place at all.

Such an interesting venue. Love that you can take a tour of the garage and able to see the cars from the restaurant. The food was great, the service wasn't. It took our server about 15 minutes to take our drinks and then was sitting down in one of the booths so we didn't get our drinks for another 15.

Went to the Derby to celebrate a birthday and it was a really cool experience. Inside, there's a barbershop, restaurant, gift shop, and a showroom featuring everything from antique to exotic cars. The restaurant is located right on the showroom floor, so guests can dine while enjoying the view. There's also a members-only area above the restaurant where people can gather, eat, and hang out. The service was great from start to finish from the host at the entrance to the restaurant staff and the barber. I kept it simple with the food and tried the cheeseburger, buffalo wings, and shrimp Caesar salad. All were good. Overall, a unique spot that I'd definitely recommend, especially for people who appreciate car aesthetics.

My dear family treated me here for my birthday dinner! Gina waited on us & Joshua assisted! It's a cool car & truck paradise; they have restos & collectible vehicles on display- which are also for sale. The dining area & restrooms are super sano! Service is top notch; Gina our server explained the menu thoroughly. The appetizers & main entrees were all cooked to perfection. House IPA was very good- I ordered 2 thru the course of our stay. There is a members only upstairs which also serves as a dining area. There are tours for the displayed vehicles & they've got an in house barber shop. Plenty of parking outside. Overall, WE all had a great exchange! Can't wait to revisit!!! Thank You Derby Restaurant, Gina, Joshua & Staff!

We went on Friday around 11 when they open mainly to see the cars they have. We were first introduced with a Ferrari which was pretty cool and their mini gift shop. We were sat down immediately without reservations. The service was friendly! We didn't order much as we were planning to have lunch somewhere else so we got the sticky toffee date pudding and some coffee. The toffee pudding was good and warm. I would definitely come back for the ambiance and try some of their other menu items whenever I come back to Dallas!

Jina was fabulous. She was very patient and accommodating with my rowdy group celebrating a birthday. The meatloaf and ettouffee were excellent as well as the meatball appetizer. Definitely plan on coming back.

The derby was a great time! Pairing with the tour and brunch after was perfect. Though they were busy on a Saturday, our waitress was quick and the dishes were good! I heard mix reviews about the food but I did enjoy the breakfast tots and chicken and waffles. We sat by the window so it was a great view to look out at the cars.

My out-of-town mother-in-law had sent a story about the Derby restaurant to us as something cool to do. When my in-laws came to visit in November, they flew into Love Field, and with the Derby restaurant being less than 10 minutes away from the airport, I thought it was the perfect way to kick off their visit. The cars are something to see, but they did say that tours of the garage are only on Saturdays and Sundays. They offer a nice selection of food from small bites to bigger meals. Everything we got was delicious. My mother-in-law said the Wayugu burger was incredible. And my fish and chips were very good and not overly greasy. My husband and his dad both got the brisket grilled cheese and raved about it. The staff was friendly and attentive. And the whole restaurant was immaculately clean. Highly recommend for a dining experience whether you're just looking for a fun evening now or a place to entertain your out of town guests.

If you like good food and are a car enthusiast, this is your place to check out. The Derby is co-located with "The Shop" which is really a country club of sorts for gearheads. All kinds of cool and unique rides to check out while you wait for your meal. The Derby serves "elevated southern comfort food". Menu consists of a nice variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and main entrees along with a selection of desserts. Staff was friendly, fairly quick and informative about the different dishes. Went with a group and everyone tried something different. We tried the Cuban Sandwich, Pork Tenderloin, Meatloaf, shrimp Pasta and a few other things. Everyone said all was tasty. Full bar is available as well. Don't let the warehouse vibe from outside be off putting. Really with a try. Check it out.

Car and motorcycle enthusiasts, you are missing out if you haven't been here! Derby restaurant is located inside "The Shop", a state of the art facility for car and motorcycles in which they offer secured storage, detailing service, valet, and everything you can ask for for your precious vehicles. You can enjoy food and alcohol while enjoying a view to the shop. The food is very decent here with seasonal menu by chef Charles Withers. (4.5/5) Matts Bad Ass Bacon Three big slices of thick bacon with maple, cayenne, Maldon salt. It's the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and pairs so wonderfully with beer. (4/5) Derby Filet-O-Fish I'm a sucker for filet o fish, especially from McDonald's. This is like the fancy and premium version, and the fried cod was crispy and soft. I do wish they didn't put so much lettuce so I can taste the fish better. The fries that it comes with were perfection, bumping it up to 4 instead of 3.5

A must for car and motorcycle enthusiasts of all stripes and ages. Service is first rate. Everybody enjoyed their brunch (Caesar w/ steak, Eggs Benny, Salmon & Eggs). Definitely book the tour. I think they made a saleas well, as I have needed a nearby place to store my vintage Mach 1. And it will make a terrific story for their tour.

The restaurant's ambience is cool, but the food isn't anything special. We tried the wings, wagyu burger and chicken sandwich- everything was good but not great. No dishes really stood out- just sort of safe/standard American restaurant type food with slightly better quality. The staff was amazing and made the experience really enjoyable, so overall it's worth a try!

My husband and I started off by splitting the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket which were good but I wouldn't order again. It just didn't seem to be anything over the top special so I would rather order something else as an app. My husband ordered the fried chicken and I got the Crispy Chicken Katsu. Both were delicious and I would definitely recommend trying both! The Katsu came with a spicy mayo that made the sandwich perfect! The fried chicken is massive so definitely share that or go home with left overs. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I'll start with a positive -- the appetizers were actually quite good. The deviled eggs, dragon…read moreroll, and pigs in a blanket were all tasty, and that's honestly the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, everything else was a struggle from the moment we walked in. We didn't have reservations, but eventually found seats at the bar. Given how busy the place was, we figured the bar would mean faster, more attentive service. We were very wrong. We ordered two beers, a non-alcoholic drink, and three appetizers. The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

WILL NEVER BE BACK!…read more HATED. EVERY. MOMENT. OF. THIS. PISS. POOR. EXPERIENCE. EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT. VALET. NOT. FREE. I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K

Tender, flavorful, and packed with that rich beefy taste you'd expect from a steak of that caliber. The garlic stuffed filet was incredibly tender and added another layer of flavor, while the New York strip had a great texture and a perfect mesquite grilled finish. The Gulf shrimp were cooked well and added a nice contrast to all the steak. Smoky, juicy, and full of flavor. The sides were excellent across the board.
