I took my husband here for his birthday because he absolutely loves cars, and this place did not disappoint! We made a reservation to make sure he'd get the full experience regardless of the crowd, but thankfully it wasn't too busy when we arrived. We were greeted warmly at the door, and the atmosphere immediately set the tone for a great visit. As we enjoyed our meal, we took time to walk around and admire the incredible collection of cars on display. By the time we finished dining, the crowd had started rolling in, which showed us why reservations are a good idea. The staff was attentive, professional, and handled the growing crowd with ease. The food was delicious, and the cinnamon buns were the perfect ending to the meal--not overly sweet, just the right amount of indulgence. I also loved the variety of vehicles on display, from vintage classics to newer models, and even motorcycles. Being able to stroll around after eating was a nice touch and helped us soak in the experience. This is a great spot for families, a unique business lunch, or even a date day or date night. The location is a bit out of the way for us, so we'll have to be intentional about making the trip again, but it's definitely worth a visit. My husband had a great birthday experience, and that's what mattered most!

Went to the Derby to celebrate a birthday and it was a really cool experience. Inside, there's a barbershop, restaurant, gift shop, and a showroom featuring everything from antique to exotic cars. The restaurant is located right on the showroom floor, so guests can dine while enjoying the view. There's also a members-only area above the restaurant where people can gather, eat, and hang out. The service was great from start to finish from the host at the entrance to the restaurant staff and the barber. I kept it simple with the food and tried the cheeseburger, buffalo wings, and shrimp Caesar salad. All were good. Overall, a unique spot that I'd definitely recommend, especially for people who appreciate car aesthetics.

My dear family treated me here for my birthday dinner! Gina waited on us & Joshua assisted! It's a cool car & truck paradise; they have restos & collectible vehicles on display- which are also for sale. The dining area & restrooms are super sano! Service is top notch; Gina our server explained the menu thoroughly. The appetizers & main entrees were all cooked to perfection. House IPA was very good- I ordered 2 thru the course of our stay. There is a members only upstairs which also serves as a dining area. There are tours for the displayed vehicles & they've got an in house barber shop. Plenty of parking outside. Overall, WE all had a great exchange! Can't wait to revisit!!! Thank You Derby Restaurant, Gina, Joshua & Staff!

Such an interesting venue. Love that you can take a tour of the garage and able to see the cars from the restaurant. The food was great, the service wasn't. It took our server about 15 minutes to take our drinks and then was sitting down in one of the booths so we didn't get our drinks for another 15.

We went on Friday around 11 when they open mainly to see the cars they have. We were first introduced with a Ferrari which was pretty cool and their mini gift shop. We were sat down immediately without reservations. The service was friendly! We didn't order much as we were planning to have lunch somewhere else so we got the sticky toffee date pudding and some coffee. The toffee pudding was good and warm. I would definitely come back for the ambiance and try some of their other menu items whenever I come back to Dallas!

Food was surprisingly delicious, my visit was a surprise from my wife for my birthday and I admit. I loved it . I love cars and eating and the fact that I can do both here is 10/10. Very nice cars to view awhile eating a good meal. Service was fast, I had no issues with this place at all.

Jina was fabulous. She was very patient and accommodating with my rowdy group celebrating a birthday. The meatloaf and ettouffee were excellent as well as the meatball appetizer. Definitely plan on coming back.

The derby was a great time! Pairing with the tour and brunch after was perfect. Though they were busy on a Saturday, our waitress was quick and the dishes were good! I heard mix reviews about the food but I did enjoy the breakfast tots and chicken and waffles. We sat by the window so it was a great view to look out at the cars.

My out-of-town mother-in-law had sent a story about the Derby restaurant to us as something cool to do. When my in-laws came to visit in November, they flew into Love Field, and with the Derby restaurant being less than 10 minutes away from the airport, I thought it was the perfect way to kick off their visit. The cars are something to see, but they did say that tours of the garage are only on Saturdays and Sundays. They offer a nice selection of food from small bites to bigger meals. Everything we got was delicious. My mother-in-law said the Wayugu burger was incredible. And my fish and chips were very good and not overly greasy. My husband and his dad both got the brisket grilled cheese and raved about it. The staff was friendly and attentive. And the whole restaurant was immaculately clean. Highly recommend for a dining experience whether you're just looking for a fun evening now or a place to entertain your out of town guests.

If you like good food and are a car enthusiast, this is your place to check out. The Derby is co-located with "The Shop" which is really a country club of sorts for gearheads. All kinds of cool and unique rides to check out while you wait for your meal. The Derby serves "elevated southern comfort food". Menu consists of a nice variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and main entrees along with a selection of desserts. Staff was friendly, fairly quick and informative about the different dishes. Went with a group and everyone tried something different. We tried the Cuban Sandwich, Pork Tenderloin, Meatloaf, shrimp Pasta and a few other things. Everyone said all was tasty. Full bar is available as well. Don't let the warehouse vibe from outside be off putting. Really with a try. Check it out.

Car and motorcycle enthusiasts, you are missing out if you haven't been here! Derby restaurant is located inside "The Shop", a state of the art facility for car and motorcycles in which they offer secured storage, detailing service, valet, and everything you can ask for for your precious vehicles. You can enjoy food and alcohol while enjoying a view to the shop. The food is very decent here with seasonal menu by chef Charles Withers. (4.5/5) Matts Bad Ass Bacon Three big slices of thick bacon with maple, cayenne, Maldon salt. It's the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and pairs so wonderfully with beer. (4/5) Derby Filet-O-Fish I'm a sucker for filet o fish, especially from McDonald's. This is like the fancy and premium version, and the fried cod was crispy and soft. I do wish they didn't put so much lettuce so I can taste the fish better. The fries that it comes with were perfection, bumping it up to 4 instead of 3.5

Made sure we're good and had everything we needed. Ambiance: it was nice! Keep in mind, happy hour is only at the rooftop upstairs. We wanted to be up there but in 3 digit degree heat in Dallas, we were not going to stay out there lol. Downstairs was regular dining. The great thing was that they were accommodating and let us do happy hour downstairs. Parking: the lot was super full and I thought we couldn't park in the open spaces in front of the stores since they looked reserved, but we got confirmation that we were good to park there.

He gave us the full rundown of the menu, and what really impressed me was that there wasn't anything on the menu he hadn't personally tried. That made his recommendations feel genuine because he could actually speak to the flavors, portions, and what he thought we would enjoy. And based on his recommendations, I'd say his palate was ON POINT! I ordered the truffle fries and blackened fish tacos, and both were delicious! I also had a cocktail with gin and lavender bitters (or something lavender-ish ), and it was really good and refreshing. My husband ordered the fish of the day, which was some type of red fish served with a caper sauce and mashed potatoes. He said it was REALLY good--and judging by the empty plate, I believe him! Recently, I had lunch here, and they now have a new farm to table menu that really exceeded my expectations. The Ranch has reinvented itself many times, and now it's a restaurant I would visit for the food AND atmosphere. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - At its core, it's a bar with several indoor and outdoor dining areas with a country theme. The Ranch is so versatile that you can host a private event while people dine in the main area while others hang out at the bar. There's also a charming outdoor area that is nice if the weather is cool. Best of all - it's full of people and energy. 1 Star. Service - Our server was great. We explained the concept, went over the menu, and while a large table occupied his time, several of the staff were helpful. Everyone was dressed in Cowboy/Ranch gear. Texas Southern Hospitality is real. 1 Star. Food - My most recent visit was like visiting a new restaurant. The Ranch's menu has changed, and everything was new. I started with the pork belly appetizers, which was a great start to meal. The tender pork meat had a layer of sweet + salty belly that melts in your mouth. I went with the Barbacoa Grilled Cheese that was one of the best I've ever had. The barbacoa (shredded BBQ beef) was the star and was better than any brisket grilled cheese I've had. The sourdough was grilled with lots of butter, so after devouring the sandwich I had to wash my hands. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Absolutely. I had been to The Ranch so many times I considered a place to gather for Happy Hour. Not anymore. The new menu is incredible, and I can't wait to return. 1 Star.
