We had not been to Pint House Pizza in a while and decided to visit again last week. That place is just as great I remembered, and it was delicious! In addition to amazing beers on tap, they also have two varieties of cider. I'd love the one that I tried. I know it sounds strange, but I eat my pizza without cheese. They were extremely accommodating and made it just the way I like it with grilled chicken and extra pepperoni. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always available for questions. The place was clean and there are tons of TV if there happens to be a sports event on. They also have outdoor seating and a bike rack right in front, which was fantastic for us since we rode our bikes. Ok this place is amazing. Incredible wood fired pizza, freshly brewed beer, what more can you ask for? Love how simple it was to order via the QR codes on the tables instead of having to wait in long lines. The drinks and food came out pretty quickly. I ordered their signature Electric Jellyfish hazy IPA because how can you not? It is so good! Paired with their Ooh La La signature pizza, I was in absolute heaven. I was initially skeptical about arugula on pizza but this combo of arugula, pepperoni and spicy honey actually works beautifully! Phenomenal. My only qualm with this location is how small and crowded it is. I don't like being packed in like sardines next to strangers on long communal picnic bench style tables. Not very comfortable. Shoutout vegan hoe down for being the first pizza I've had in 1.5 years! Crust was thin, ever so charred and the cauliflower paired well with the soft, creamy cheese. Tried a bite of the regular version and it's astronomical with the addition of the pesto and ricotta. Ambiance itself is casual, fun, expected of a pizza spot with ample wooden benches. We popped in for a late lunch before a show on Sunday afternoon (of the holiday weekend). I thought it would be super low key, but alas! it was not! Can't go wrong with the pizza here. It's def not Pizza Hut or papa John's. Soooo much better with a variety of options. They really go above and beyond to create some unique pizza options. The place is open and fairly big (not super large with the location being off burnet road). The staff is very helpful and kind. The only negative thing (in my opinion), is that they don't do to-go orders over the phone. I was paying with cash and having an option to order online and pay in person would've been great. Pinthouse makes my favorite pizza in town, and the quality is consistent between visits and locations. We split a large pizza half Ooh La La and half Cannonball and it fed the four of us (kids are 8 and 5) with two slices left over to box up. Giving this place 5 stars because what it does, jt does exceptionally well. Today I visited with 5 friends on a cold weekday evening in February. The tables are all communal (and seat yourself), but we were able to find a spot that fit our crew perfectly. They have beautiful wood countertops and matching benches set up in cafeteria-like rows, and the inside just generally felt homey and warm and inviting. We got both pizzas and sandwiches and we had heard their Italian Sub was fantastic. We were not led astray as the sub was full flavored and BIG in size. We got the pepperoni basil pizza and they have gluten free crust options as well!! I got the gluten free option and it was delicious! The cauliflower crust is available only for personal size pizzas. Took my cousin and her daughter here when they were in town visiting from Ohio. The place was packed on a Thursday night even in cold weather last week. We luckily found a spot and thankfully were able to order by QR code to our spot, which is better than having to stand in line at a counter to order food or drinks. The pizza, pizza rolls and salad were yummy. It's definitely a great place to bring friends and family, especially if they want to watch sports. The US/Canada hockey game was playing so I think that's one of the reasons it was so busy that evening. The main downside for me is they serve mostly beer and I don't drink beer. I was pleasantly surprised by pinthouse pizza! We got the pinthouse salad (w/o blue cheese), and really liked it. The poppy seed dressing and candied pecans were tasty. We got the ooh la la pizza (small), crunchy crust and delicious toppings. Hot honey always adds a nice twist to any pizza. And we got the cheesy bread because we couldn't resist. A medium salad and small pizza was more than enough for two, and is comparably inexpensive compared to many other spots in town. Beers are also fairly cheap! I got the Mexican lager which was super crisp and refreshing on a hot Austin summer day. Service is quick and you can order from table with a QR code. Easy parking in the back. Had a funeral down the street and had not eaten anything, so it was nice to have this place marked to try. It was a Friday afternoon and I got to enjoy the lunch special with a Pinthouse salad, Cannonball pizza, and a Green Acres IPA. This lunch was a lot and saved half the pizza for later that night. The salad was a healthy start with the beer of baby spinach, sliced red onions, candied pecans, blue cheese, cranberries, poppy seed dressing. The cannonball was topped on a wonderful wood crust with red sauce, PHP cheese, pepperoni, bacon, local crumbled sausage, Canadian bacon. As a regular at Pinthouse Pizza on South Lamar when I lived down South, I recently visited Pinthouse Pizza on Burnet for the first time. The location is great for those in Central and North Austin, and it is near some cute shops if you want to make it a shopping and pizza and beer kind of day. One big struggle of this location is the parking. To be fair, it was a Sunday early evening, and a football game was on. But it took a few circles to find a spot, and then leaving the spot took over 5 minutes because of how crowded the parking lot was. The inside was buzzling with people of all ages including families with kiddos. They had a great selection of beer on tap as is expected for Pinthouse with helpful staff. They also have a larger patio area, so it was great for folks who want to eat or have a beer outside. For me the biggest reason this is a 4 and not a 5 was that I asked to sub mushrooms for a prosciutto on the pizza (something they always let us do down South) because we don't eat meat, and they said no unless we wanted to pay an upcharge. They also said no to just adding some added pear or basil (toppings that already come on it) because of no meat. Also a no unless an upcharge. I understand this for adding more toppings, but if someone needs to make a sub for dietary reasons, I'd love to see that be honored without an upcharge, especially if the sub is a cheaper ingredient. Overall, the staff are awesome, the food is good quality, and they have this restaurant running like a well-oiled machine. read more

Hold my beer .. actually, no, give it back because I don't want to share. Do you ever have a restaurant that you see and think to yourself: "Oh yeah! I remember that place! I'll try it next time!" That was me and I was thinking of going to this restaurant for years but it never happened until today. I'm so glad I went though because my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. First off, I love stouts and dark beers so I'm biased. But I really enjoyed the Bearded Seal beer. But there's a ton of options for sale so you can get other IPAs and Ales as well. We ended up getting the pretzel and the honey pear pizza for food. I straight up loved the pretzel and dips, but it was nothing compared to the pizza. It just worked and it worked extremely well. My wife and I were glad that we got the large because anything smaller and we would have been fighting over it like two animals that haven't eaten in a while. I cannot wait to go back and try the other flavors, but to be honest, it's going to be hard to break away from that honey pear pizza now. read more

Came here to watch the NCAA Men's Basketball semifinal game between Duke and Houston. We had a rather large group (8 people), yet we managed to snatch a table as soon as we got to Pinthouse on a busy Saturday evening. The whole place was buzzing as the TVs were showing both the Men's March Madness semifinal and the simultaneous Austin FC match. After we extensively studied the paper menus. We placed an order by scanning the QR code on the nearest napkin dispenser, because we didn't want to go and wait in line at the counter. While waiting for the food and beer to come, we went and picked up some waters for the table from the soda fountain. Beer came quickly and the server insisted on checking everyone's ID. This was a bit of a messy process because we were such a large group, but it ultimately worked out. The pizzas came about 20 minutes later, except for the gluten free pizza that took additional 15 minutes. All of the food was wonderfully delicious. My personal favorites were the Texas Chicken Ranch and the Oh La La. I'll definitely come back to try more of their pizzas! read more
