Let me start off by saying I wish I could give half stars! The coffee (tres leches latte) and food (el Chicano + bacon) I ordered were amazingggg. However, the wait was way too long and customer service was not the best. When ordering, I had asked if they had skim milk and was told they had 2%. The person helping me at the register went onto say the tres leches latte also contained evaporated and condensed milk. I said oh, that makes perfect sense for a tres leches, 2% is completely fine! My friend and I took a seat to wait and she got her drink fairly quick (less than 10 minutes). She had paid for my food/same order, and yet several other people who ordered after us got their drink before me. When they called my drink out 21 minutes later (confirmed by the timestamps on my photos...) I wasn't even sure it was mine since they called out oat milk. I told them that I had ordered 2%, but they couldn't find it anywhere. The girl who took my order just told the barista to make me another one. There was no apology or acknowledgement. I went back down to sit with my friend for another 7 minutes before my drink was made. We had also told them that we would take the order to-go in case we didn't have time to eat. We ordered around 10:40 and were hoping to leave around 11-11:10am since we were on the way to drop her off at the airport (7 minutes away). Figured we'd have some time to drink our coffees and maybe have a bite or two of our food before finishing up in the car. I only just got my coffee around 11:09am. When I picked it up, I asked if our food would be ready soon. We were then told that the empanadas my friend ordered are air fried and take more time. I don't know why air frying would take 30 minutes or why this wouldn't be told to us when ordering something to-go. But 2 minutes later, the food was brought out to us. **TLDR: My friend and I talked about it in the car, and we both agreed that the latte and food we ordered were veryyyyyyy good!!! But we were really disappointed by the wait and the service. I'd definitely give them another try though because everything was tasty. If you haven't been there before, I'd give them a shot but would be prepared to wait a bit. read more

What a hidden gem! We wanted a good matcha drink while we were in the Phoenix area. We had the strawberry match and a unsweetened iced matcha. We were on our way to visit the downtown area of Phoenix so we made a stop here to grab some breakfast. There's also plenty of space for parking, which was a huge plus! The coffee shop is a bit small, there's only a few tables and the seating is a bit tight. We came in with a large group of people, so we easily took up many of the tables lol. Luckily there was outdoor seating as well! Ordering was quite easy, which I ordered a iced latte and a garden toast to share. Starting off with the garden toast, I really enjoyed how the avocado is really fresh! The avocado was so creamy and made the toast so enjoyable. The iced latte was also pretty nice as well, it paired really well with the toast. I had another friend who isn't so much of a coffee person, but she ordered an iced latte. Arrived here for some morning coffee and breakfast. I always like trying some place new when downtown. I ordered the caramel macchiato. Good coffee-the caramel flavoring was a bit overwhelming at first but after mixing it, it was good. I also got the chilaquiles! Something I was craving and actively looking for on menus. The chips were crispy, the red sauce had some heat, and the barbacoa all went well together. My only complaint is it didn't come with a fried egg on top :( The shop itself is cute. When you come in, you're greet automatically. Awkward entrance though. Plenty of seating outside. Inside maybe only had five two seaters. The staff were great! Also seen Hawaiana latte which is perfect for all coconut lovers. If I was a local, that would def be my go-to drink. Both times we were here, there were two workers and they worked diligently to get drinks out. Even though it's busy, drinks were always made to perfection. Prices are a bit on the higher side. A medium iced tres leches latte w/almond milk was like $8.15. Yikes...inflation at its finest. But I guess it's alright if we are supporting a small local business (?) The cutest coffee shop! Limited seating inside, but the patio is huge and has lots of tables and chairs. I ordered the Canelita iced coffee with oat milk, my husband got a caramel latte and we both got the chorizo breakfast sandwich. OMG THE BREAKFAST SANDWICH!! I'm still thinking about it and it's been like 3 weeks lol. It was sooo flavorful. Always on the hunt for great coffee around the valley. Today brought me to Deseo Coffee Shack. There's plenty of parking and it's such a cute little quaint spot with a Hispanic theme. I was welcomed in warmly and had my order taken. I got the Pumpkin Spice horchata oat milk latte and the tres leches oat milk latte. Both drinks were equally amazing in their own way. The pumpkin horchata had the pumpkin and horchata flavor. It was really amazing. The tres leches was creamy and sweet and really captured the flavors so well. YES! I finally made it! It definitely holds up its name, as the space is VERY intimate, but such a cute spot to grab a great coffee beverage and light bite. I opted for the cold brew with fig cold foam - made in house and absolutely delicious and perfect balance of sweet and creamy. It was just a refreshing option to spice up my standard coffee order without being too overpowered. I then opted for the empanadas, choice of three between: Chorizo, Chicken, Breakfast Vegan Chorizo and one more vegan option ( I can't remember, I'm sorry! ) I got the breakfast and chorizo. It came with a delightful green sauce and we're absolutely delicious! Fresh and hot and I would eat them all day and any day! I do wish they were closer so I could frequent them more, but loved my first visit and look forward to returning. Come other notes: They has speciality coffee and seasonal specials, including lemonades and their fig cold foam. Their food menu included various "toasts", the empanadas, chilaquiles and pastries. The space as I mentioned is intimate, three bar spots, a small couch and 4 or so two top tables. They had seating outside as well, bigger patio then indoors and I was lucky enough to find a few puppers inside - so dog friendly! Service was great, friendly and quick. Saw this cute coffee shop on social media and all the drinks sounded very good. The Canelita, Tres Leches, and the Horchata lattes all grabbed my attention. We stopped by yesterday (Sunday) and it was super busy. The inside is very small, it was warm, and all the tables were taken. There was a couple ordering before us so we had time to look at the rest of the menu. I ended up ordering a medium Horchata latte with a blueberry muffin and my total was about $14.50 including a $2 tip. My sister had the medium Canelita latte and she paid about $11 (with a dollar tip) which she was not happy about - too pricey. The blueberry muffin was warmed up (cashier asked if I wanted it warmed up) and it was not our favorite. It was very dry, stiff, and tasted like it had come out of a box... The drinks were both really good though and I justified spending that much money for a drink, it was worth it. There is really no waiting area to stand in and so we waited by the door. I felt bad standing so close to the couple that was sitting down as I was super close to them. The cashier was friendly and so was the barista. They both thanked me and had smiles on their faces. The décor inside is very cute! The outside patio is pretty spacious and has plenty of tables but that's not he best option right now with this summer weather. Overall I would visit again. read more

The latte was a good balance of flavor between the milk, espresso, vanilla, and syrup and wasn't too sweet. I will say that almost $8 for a small latte is kinda wild--definitely a tasty try but don't think it's worth the price tbh. The inside is small and cute w 5 tables and vibey decor. I wanted to do some work here and enjoyed their well working wifi but did not enjoy their not so well working air conditioning. With the weather being 110 outside I was hoping the ac would be blasting so that it'd be nice and cool inside but instead I am feeling my forehead dampen and sweat gather in my pits. Maybe as a Californian I just wasn't built for this. Overall, I think this is a nice cafe where drinks seem to be reliably good, just not the study cafe or prices I would've hoped for. read more

New coffee shop unlocked! This place has been in my bookmarks for a while and decided to give it a try on Sunday morning. Gorgeous outdoor seating area with lots of space and shade provided. No outlets outdoors but that's OK. Wi-Fi works pretty well. I got the latte, which is cinnamon, Mexican vanilla, and agave syrup, and it was really good - on the sweet side. I also got the chorizo breakfast sandwich which is made in a separate kitchen building and brought out to you. The wait time was a little long (15 minutes) so if you're in rush, consider breakfast somewhere else. But the sandwich was really good, spicy, and really satisfying. my bill for the latte and the sandwich was about $19 total. Great place to hang and study when the weather is nice! read more

This was one of the worst coffee shop experiences I've ever had. The customer service was terrible, and the staff made me feel unwelcome from the start. There was no greeting from each of the persons working. A coffee shop should be about good vibes and hospitality, but this place was the opposite. The barista had a passive-aggressive attitude and couldn't even bother to announce when my drink was ready because she was busy making drinks. Which they were also dropping drinks off to each customer inside and outside. It sat at the pick-up window so long the ice had already melted by the time I realized it was mine. I had an early morning flight into Phx and I opted to skip the airport coffee and head straight here. When I visit new places I enjoy exploring new coffee places. The menu wasn't overwhelming at all and everything sounded delicious. I opted for the Nitro and some avocado toast. The nitro was smooth and perfect. The avocado toast was a very decent serving. I sat down and enjoyed my coffee and I overheard all the coffee options they could do and cold foams as well. Service was great and the coffee excellent.
