I had booked the 50-minute Prenatal Massage and my mom booked the 50-minute Thai LOAM Massage with a 50% reservation fee. We were required to show up 10 minutes before our appointments to fill out a waiver and survey, change out of our clothes, and get situated on the massage bed. We were originally going to be in separate rooms but they asked if it was okay to put us in the couples' room; not a problem. They set up my bed with the pregnancy wedge for my belly, and it was pretty comfortable. The only complaint I had was that I had a hard time breathing through the little head hole as they layered a lot of white sheets on top of the bed and made the hole smaller and stifling. I found myself having to breathe through my mouth but it was tolerable. For prenatal massages, they only offer light and medium pressure. However, in certain areas I did feel like I got deep pressure especially in my shoulders as I had a few knots and tightness there. Katie/Kathy was my masseuse and she knew exactly how to work out those kinks while still making the experience comfortable for a pregnant person. I still felt like I got deep tissue massage on my shoulders despite the prenatal massage policy of being at maximum medium pressure. My mom said she found her massage relaxing and loved her experience at LOAM. They gave us water cups at checkout and we left feeling pretty relaxed.
