Moved into a new home after doing a complete renovation only to discover that the HVAC system had several issues including poor balancing between floors along with the inside unit being extremely dirty due to construction. Hmmm, how to explain how 2 broken ACs on multiple 100 degree days (index) turned out to be a 5 star experience... To start, not only was Neudes (owner) the first to respond to my request, he was personally able to come to my house within a few hours. Anyone who's ever experienced a broken AC in the middle of the summer knows how important a quick response is. Neudes took the time to walk me through every step of the diagnosis. Not only extremely knowledgeable, but honest and genuine all the way! Both units had different issues that compounded in their failures. After weighing our options, either putting a very expensive "bandaid" on very dated systems (~20yrs old) or biting the bullet and upgrading to new systems, the Wife and I decided to do the latter and get new ones installed. Install was the very next day. Neudes and his team had both units up and running flawlessly within a few hours and now the house is freeeezzzing :) Side note, the guys are animals, hardly stopping long enough to take a drink of water! I highly recommend Design HVAC for anything you might need. Somehow after unexpectedly spending "AC style" buck, and after sweating it out in the Texas heat, we couldn't be more pleased. This company is the worst for several reasons. They didn't not pull correct permits for work. They didn't do correct wiring. They didn't install my compressor correctly. I now have to spend additional monies to correct their work. They were the only company Choice Warranty allowed me to use. Now Northeast Plumbing has to redo their awful work. This is the worst HVAC company I ever dealt with, the guy name Neudes had the worst attitude and had no costumer service skills. This guy walked in the house in 10 mins diagnosed my AC unit and charged for a part that didn't fix the issue. This company refuse to come back and fix the issue even after our paying the service fee. This guy was incompetent and we get what we pay for when your bid is the lowest. We got our AC looked at again by a more reputable company and the issue was resolved. Don't waste your time. I will be filling a formal complaint. read more

Since I have to put a star and not leave blank, I give this company a 1 Start. We contacted American Home Shield (AHS) and they sent us Design HAVC to come service out AC unit when it was out. The tech said he had to bypass our unit and order a part to get it to work properly. The tech said it should take about four weeks to get in. We never heard back from them, our AC unit just burnt out and I called Design HVAC and they said they didn't order any part and that AHS will not cover past two months. Even though Design HVAC do their job and order the part as they said they would. They just got the money from AHS and closed out the requested service without fixing the issue. Design HVAC was the contractor assigned to replace our unit through our home warranty insurance company. The team at Design HVAC communicated clearly throughout the process, when our home warranty insurance company did not. They gave us updates as soon as they had them and patiently worked with us as our home warranty insurance company dragged their feet for 30+ days and kept us waiting. As soon as Design HVAC got the approval to replace the unit, Neudes was at our house the same day. He was professional and polite and it was a pleasure working with him. I called them because my unit suddenly stopped working. They responded promptly and informed me my compressor was bad and that I should replace the A/C unit for just over $7000. I called master cheif a/c for a second opinion and $900 and 1 hour later A/C working great. Compressor working great. read more
