Our server took a little long with helping us, but in her defense, it was a little crowded when we were there, and the table next to us had a party of 10+ people. The food portions are very generous. Taste is delicious and well worth the price. The inside is a little small, considering we had a wheel chair with us, but they were helpful in making room for us. Our server also checked in on us after enough... but not to the point where it would bother us. I come here once a week on average. Work close by and always order tacos, nachos, etc. The number one thing we order (coworkers and I) is the "canasta de los pobres" it's $17.99 and it has 10 tacos. I placed the orders today over the phone, and was NOT informed it went up in price. When I paid, I noticed the price was way higher than usual but I thought it was due to the guacamole. My coworkers reminded me it was $17.99 and we checked online to make sure the prices did not change. I went back to communicate the issue with them and showed them both their own website and their Yelp and she told me that price went up on their menu. In store. I told her I would need partial refund because the old price is still on their site and nobody informed me while I was ordering. She told me she would call her manager, and after she informed me that because I placed the order on the phone, they were NOT going to honor the online price. I was appalled! This isn't a $2-$4 increase, it was an almost $10 price increase and I was not told this over the phone. She told me I could get a refund if bring my food back. Under ca law 12024.2. you MUST honor advertised prices. It is actually illegal to not do this. I don't know how they are willing to risk a lawsuit over $10 but it is what it is. It was a sure way of telling us, they don't appreciate our service or want our money despite being loyal customers. I left my number to speak with the owner but I doubt she will call. After I left I saw they changed the price on Yelp but on their site it still reflects the old amount. I also have screen shots attached to show the prices at the time of my dispute. From the small interaction the server had with the manager over the phone I can definitely tell the owner/manager doesn't care about losing customers. I was very excited to come to this location and give it a try. Unfortunately I did not have such a great experience. Our waitress Maria was very polite until it became a rude "polite". Our food was cold and when I tried telling her that it was cold she cut me off every time and said it wasn't. I tried explaining to her that the food is fresh but it shouldn't be cold and she just kept saying that it's not true. I don't appreciate being told I'm wrong when my family and I can't even enjoy our food from how cold the meat and cheese was. The staff was super friendly and very helpful! Now, for the food. I ordered 3 tacos: taco peligroso, taco desvelado, and taco tijuanero with pastor meat. The taco Tijuanero with pastor was delicious! Tortillas weren't anything that really stood out but they were good. The taco desvelado has a mix of carne asada and fried shrimp, topped with a sauce. The carne asada tasted unseasoned and bland and very soft. The shrimp was good, especially with the sauce. The taco peligroso I could not finish unfortunately. The chipotle sauce had a very weird aftertaste and not to my liking. Not sure how other locations compare to the one in Glendale but it was very average tacos! read more

My husband, friends, and I decided to come here for dinner after finishing up at mass at a church nearby. The place is usually busy when we come here, but we luckily were seated indoors after clearing up a hiccup with table placement. Our waitress was really nice and gave us a heads up that food would get out to us about 20 minutes after placing our order. My husband and I shared a mango margarita and he ordered the 10 tacos meal while I got one of their burritos that had a Chile relleno and lengua. Taken by surprise when I walked in. Lots of neon. Super colorful. Nice to see an updated approach to Mexican food decor. But warning, the neon did make my food look blue. Ordered a couple of beers, guacamole, shrimp taco, carnitas taco and al pastor taco. Both with tortillas and as lettuce cups. Guacamole had a slight brown color to it. I suspect not freshly made or even made in house. Not sure. In contrast, the chips came right out of a fryer. Have never seen oil on a plate of chips before but I guess that's what happens when you go from fryer to plate. Shrimp taco was spicy and loaded with shrimp. Super tasty. Carnitas taco was a bit dry and would have been better diced or cubed so it's more taco edible. Al pastor taco was good. Even better with their choice of green or red hot sauce. They served my friend first. After a bit, I asked about my order. She said it was coming right out. I think they forgot and made it not the fly. Regardless, they were nice about it. Is it best Mexican food in Glendale? No. But it's worth a try. And hopefully they will iron some of the kinks like not seating one person at a four top when other tables are open. They have a variety of taco options and some tacos are larger than others which is why the price points are so different. Some tacos are $2.50 while the most expensive is over $7. Also depends on the type of meat your choose. Got a variety of tacos to try and all were good, what stood out the most was the perfect fry/batter on the breaded shrimp. This is one of the last places in Glendale you would think to find Mexican food and great drinks! This is a great place to go with friends for lunch, dinner, or after a workout at one of the many gyms on the street. Majority of the entrees are a la carte tacos so yo I will have the chance to try multiple tacos and not stuck with just trying one kind. Wife had the a pastor brick burrito. Honestly this burrito was one of the best tasting burritos we have had in a while. The pastor was very juicy with the right amount of spiciness. It also had the right amount of rice, beans, and pico de gallo. Friend had the flautas. The flautas had a little bit of everything in and on it. On the outside it had guacamole, carne aside, and shrimp while the inside had chicken. It may seem to be too much but is truly just right. I had the montaditos. The shrimp was okay, the guacamole and cucumber was good but I highly recommend just getting the burritos or tacos when coming here, unless you're trying to be healthy.
