Believe the hype. These breakfast sandwiches using biscuits are ON POINT. (And I'm not even a biscuit person so that's saying something!) I ordered a special breakfast sandwich that comes with avocado, egg, pepper Jack cheese, and bacon-- and WHEW. So filling. So savory. Delicious goodness. You might just fall in love with the first bite. $11, or so for each? Take my money! Regarding ambiance: seating is outside. Food will get brought to you as a to-go! I loved the breakfast sandwich and carrot cake that I got here!! The biscuit melted in my mouth with each bite and the flavors of the sandwich were comforting and nostalgic, especially for a cold San Francisco morning. The carrot cake was not too sweet and I loved how you can taste the cream cheese shining through the frosting. I wouldn't recommend the cinnamon roll because it lacks icing and has a strong taste of nutmeg. The staff were friendly, courteous, and their kind demeanor made me feel like my day was off to a great start. There is more indoor seating at this location, it's more of a grab-and-go kinda spot. But there is limited seating on a couple benches outside. Overall, I highkey recommend coming here for a quick bite for breakfast because you can walk along the beach after a very satisfying meal!! The breakfast sandwich never disappoints. Plus getting a bottle of Voila juice on the side makes the perfect meal. Sauce on the sandwich is awesome. Workers are nice but the food can take awhile. we came in around 1pm on a sunday and we were in and out in about 20 min max so it wasn't too busy but i heard it can get bad so be prepared for that just in case. special breakfast sandwich - i was worried it was gonna be nothing special but i was so wrong. the buttery biscuit with the fluffy egg, cheese, bacon, and avocado all worked so well together that even someone like me, who generally dislikes breakfast sandwiches, ate the whole thing. tuna melt - my friend got this! the tuna spread was really flavorful and nice. it's not as greasy/heavy as the breakfast sandwich so it's a good option as well. donut muffin - exactly what it set out to be. a donut in a muffin form hahaha. not bad but on the sweeter side cinnamon roll - so delicious but sooooo sweet and dense. the texture is interesting in that the layers almost felt like croissant dough layers with a thick crispy layer of sugar on top. this was so decadent and rich that both of us could only take a few bites before saving it for later but the flavor and texture is amazing and unique. iced chai and iced latte - the chai was kinda underwhelming and more milky than chai. the latte was also a little watered down but i like how they offer different sweetener options. read more

Solid neighborhood spot with really good comfort food. The tuna melt was excellent -- crispy, cheesy, and flavorful without being too heavy. The breakfast sandwich also lived up to the hype with fresh ingredients and great bread. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that it was pretty crowded and the wait took a bit longer than expected. Still definitely worth a stop if you're in the Sunset. read more

After years of experience with this place, I have to say the special breakfast sandwich is still the best in the city. BUT you need it with the salsa. The day they stop making the salsa condiment is the day I stop eating here. It's an essential component. The lemon bars used to be perfect but the last couple times I got them they were dry. Iconic biscuit breakfast sandwich spot located in Outer Sunset! The special sandwich is a must but if you're not a fan of sauces/aioli get the regular. It definitely makes for a heavy breakfast. The biscuits are made fresh and taste amazing! There's almost always a line here but it's so worth it! They also have amazing beignets and huge cookies. Love this Outer Sunset breakfast biscuit joint. The Regular is my go to, and I take a few plain biscuits to go for later. The Regular is a fluffy, buttery biscuit overflowing with tender, creamy, cheesy eggs, and crispy bacon. Don't forget to grab their flavor town hot sauce to drench your breakfast sandwich in. Tried the impossible to resist chocolate chip cookie, wow what a treat and loved that there was no salt sprinkled on top like the fad is these days. All of there food looks top notch. Every morning I find myself in the sunset, I love coming here for their special breakfast sandwich. I love that this location close to the beach so I can enjoy my sandwich with a view. I usually order via yelp for pickup when I am on my way there, and it takes about 20-30 minutes for it to be ready. I get the special breakfast sandwich (5/5) - it comes on a flaky biscuit with bacon, egg, avocado, and the aioli takes this sandwich to the next level. I've also tried their cinnamon raisin cookie, and it's huge! There is no indoor seating, but there are a few benches right outside the store. read more

They're not kidding about "Serving Outer San Francisco" because it doesn't get much "outer" than Noriega and 46th Avenue near Ocean Beach. I was in the area with the noble intent of walking across the city to SoMa. I can get obsessive about my step count. But first, I needed a treat for sweet sustenance and a hit of caffeine, and this Way Outer Sunset bakery cafe felt like a good starting gate. A great spot to grab a breakfast sandwich. They make their buttermilk biscuits in house and stuff it. You have to get the special breakfast sandwich which has eggs, pepper jack cheese, lemon garlic aioli, and avocado! They also have an array of other baked goods I have yet to try. Just know that you may be waiting for a while on weekends. Be prepared to wait quite a long time even after placing your order. There's not much seating outside so I usually have to take it to go. Not sure what the hype is. From the pictures it looks good with quality ingredients (I got the special like everyone else) I had my first bite and all I tasted was biscuit. Half way through eating its still the taste of biscuit. I didn't taste any of the bacon, garlic sauce or cheese. If you love biscuit flavor then this is for you but to me it's a boring tasting sandwich that isn't worth the price. Sorry, I wouldn't come back. read more

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night dreaming of this biscuit. I miss it so much. My friend asked for a bite and I regret giving in and saying yes, but I know she regrets not getting one. This is hands down one of the best breakfast biscuits I've ever had. Stacked to the gods. I traveled 30 minutes to get here and I'd do it again. The service was great, everyone was so kind. Delicious breakfast sandwich that is worth all the hype! I ordered the special breakfast sandwich without cheese because I'm lactose intolerant. The buttermilk biscuit was so hot, steamy, and delicious, and the rest of the sandwich made the entire bite so moist and creamy. A good serving of egg despite the egg shortage! I've heard about Devil's Teeth Baking Company's legendary breakfast sandwiches and baked goods for ages, but never had the pleasure of trying them. Fast forward to today, and I'm running Bay to Breakers, which just so happens to finish a few minutes away from Devil's Teeth in Outer Sunset. Talk about serendipity! There was a line out the door, but I was prepared to stick it out. You order inside, then wait outside at a small seating area with benches where they'll come out and call your name. They have a bunch of baked goods, ranging from donut muffins to fresh-baked bread to scones. I ordered a cinnamon roll and the special breakfast sandwich. The cashier asked if I wanted the cinnamon roll warmed, which I appreciated; warm pastries are superior. After about waiting about half an hour, my food was ready. The cinnamon roll was brought out first and was smackin! It had these nice crispy edges, a gooey center, a moderate cinnamon flavor, and wasn't oversaturated with icing. The breakfast sandwich was just what I needed after a race. The biscuit was buttery and soft, the eggs were fluffy, and the avocado was creamy. I couldn't really taste the lemon aioli, but it was still a respectable sandwich. If you're in Outer Sunset and craving some baked goods, make a beeline for Devil's Teeth Baking Company! read more

I have wanting to try Devil's Teeth for a while and finally made it out to outer sunset. We went in on a Saturday morning and there was a short line to order, but moved quickly. There is no indoor seating, but a cute parklet where everyone was sitting and enjoying their sandwich. After we ordered, the sandwich came out fresh and hot within 5-10 minutes! Special Breakfast Sandwich (5/5): This sandwich was so good! It was warm when it came out and freshly made to order. I loved the biscuit, which was buttery but not overly flaky or dense or dry, which are my personal pet peeves. The egg was fluffy, and the sauce was not overwhelming but complemented the sandwich as a whole. The only thing I regret was I added a sausage patty for extra, but I did not realize it would replace the bacon in the sandwich not add to the bacon. Regardless, I loved this sandwich and would definitely come back again for this breakfast sandwich. read more

So we had the choice between a couple of lame burger joints or something a little differenter and a lot better: Devil Tooth Bakery and Co! Mind you, it was a little bit later in the day, so not your typisch Lunch Spot, but it was the choice. There were no other options. We ordered ahead before arriving and they had it done way sooner than expected. But I had to grab a couple of extra items from display cuz they were staring me down and I was ravenous! Best idea. One of the best known bakeries out here in the Outer Sunset, and San Francisco, and even the Bay Area at large! There are crazy lines for their breakfast biscuits; since I'm local, I end up deciding to come back later or other days during times like that. On that note, I don't know if I am a little spoiled because I am so close, or there's a little bit of a psychological effect of having to travel and queue for their food, but they are definitely popular. Friendly service, and the set-up is very modern SF: small interior, and some outside seating. Parking is only OK because if there is not a lot else out there. read more

Finally made it here and it is SO WORTH THE HYPE! We came on a weekday morning and didn't wait long at all. There is metered and street parking and a few small benches where you can sit and eat outside. It's got a really cool rustic bakery vibe when you walk inside, wood decor. Service was great- they were really nice and were patient as my son thoroughly reviewed every pastry in the case. I had the regular breakfast sandwich which was delicious! Local bakery popular for their breakfast sandwiches. Came here per the recommendation of my sister and the special breakfast sandwich is what she had really liked. For $1.50 more, you can get aioli and avocado, which I think was worth it for adding some creaminess to the biscuit. It keeps better than I thought, but it's still better to eat it ASAP. There's no indoor dining but there is some outdoor seating. You order at the counter and they'll hand you pastries directly, but they'll call out your name once your sandwiches are ready. They were out of cinnamon rolls in the afternoon, so get them in the morning if you're determined to get some. I got a brownie and it was very rich. Anyone who grew up with me knows my absolute hankering for sweets. But, since growing a bit older (hopefully wiser) and a bit more health conscious, I've suppressed a lot of my sugary habits... Until now. Oh Lord, forgive me for I have sinned. Even the thought of consuming sweets sends me into a guilt trip. That being said, I have heard so many great things about Devil's Teeth Baking Company and decided to make the trek from SOMA to the outer Sunset District just for this place. And with a name like Devil's Teeth, who wouldn't be slightly seduced? And like the forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden, I knew I shouldn't have been anywhere near it. Oh well! Sometimes you just gotta YOLO it! *throws scruples to the wind* Upon arrival, as I opened my car door, I could immediately smell the aroma of delicious baked goods permeating through the air. It was like a delicate lullaby to my nose tempting me to come closer. God please help me to resist temptation as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. As I walked into the store, my heart skipped a beat. There they were. Cookies, croissants, cinnamon rolls, danishes and a plethora of other delightful delicacies sat behind the glass display ready to be devoured. I really really really really DO try hard to make healthy choices, but today was NOT going to be that day. The first thing my eyes settled on was a large peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. The angel on my shoulder said not to, but the devil on my shoulder said come on, just try a little. The chocolate chips were so large and numerous throughout the cookie that I was convinced that maybe a small bite wouldn't hurt. Next my eyes shifted to the crumb cake. I grew up eating cheap ol' Little Debbie's and thought that even then, it was the greatest thing in the world. Since those Little Debbie days, I've learned a thing or two about quality and let's just say that this coffee crumb cake had it goin' on in all aspects! Soft, delicately sweet, with a bit of a tart flavor from the rhubarb. Sweet Lordy Jesus. By now I had no conscious at all. Just give me the goodz! I also purchased the cinnamon roll. Words cannot describe what I tasted and felt, but let me go ahead and try. Soft Gooey Sweet Cinnamony Crunchy. You name it. This forbidden "fruit" was better than I had ever imagined. I needed something to wash this all down before leaving, so I decided to go with one of their house made mango juices from the fridge. A perfect way to end such a sugary trip. Prices are a tad high, but for the quality and flavor you get, it is well worth the extra pennies. They have outdoor seating that is great for relaxing with your coffee or pastries, or to even just chatting with your friends. This place is kid friendly and has colorful chalk for children to draw on the city walkways with. They also serve savory dishes, sandwiches and sourdough bread. So, if you aren't in the mood for something sweet, there are plenty of other options to choose from at this bakery. The only excuse I have for going on such a sugar crazed frenzy is "The devil made me do it." Yeah, that's it. I want to start off by giving a heads up to the owners, who decided to open such a fantastic bakery on this street. It is exactly what the neighbor hood needed. The owners are wonderful, always very interested in who you are, and what your about- It makes one feel good to be asked questions- because it shows they truly want to get to know their customers. I have a lot to say about this place.. so hold on to your seats. The staff: About 95% of the staff are sweet, and overly attentive. But lately the same two young girls, have given me less than standard service.. For example, when I came in by myself to get a few things- the young Asian girl with glasses and black hair and another girl with brown hair and blue eyes- ignore me- especially if there is other young men in the bakery. Normally I wouldn't consider this a problem, but it has happened now more than a few times.. It doesn't make any sense to me, because EVERYONE ELSE is SOOO overly nice and polite!??!? BUT I still come here because I love the food and the location.. right by the beach. OK now for the food: In the latest issue of 7x7 magazine that frequents my office... there was an article about the "top 10 places to eat in the outer sunset". What made me SO happy, is that Devil's Teeth scored 2nd place out of 10 for their breakfast sandwich!!! The breakfast sandwich I have had it REALLY good- and then other time disappointing.. but hold on let me emphasize that when its GOOD- its REALLY GOOD. It's a home made fresh biscuit, cheddar cheese, bacon, and what they call their "two egg-er"- which is an enormously sized scrambled egg.. When it's "good" it's due to the perfection of the ratio portion of the bacon, egg, and cheese.. I read in the article that there is to be 3 strips of bacon when in fact... it is ONE piece of bacon folded over. Last time I brought one home for my wife, she opened it up and saw little else but a daunting 4 inch egg-er in the sandwich.. I hate to say this but she just threw the egg to our two labs.. they seemed to like it. it was way too much and over powered the rest of it. But either way I cant deny it is one of my favorite things on their menu. -Pie: The strawberry pie is by far my favorite. Lately they have been doing a strawberry and blueberry blend- which is alright, but my favorite is the plain strawberry! The banana creme pie is second to none and I dream of it often :) -Muffins: My favorite muffin- by far is the black berry muffin.. the blackberry banana is also great as well as the blueberry banana. I can woof down these heavenly muffins in a sitting- that's how good they are. I also highly enjoy the donut muffin, but the fruit muffins are by far the BEST, possibly that Ive ever had in my LIFE! - As far as the rest: The Cheese cake- is AMAZING. I love this little topping they put over it.. its almost like an extra creamy topping.. since cheesecake can b somewhat dry. I love the lemon cheesecake as well. Definitely have to agree with everyone that Devil's Teeth Baking Company is very FRESH! I came in ready to start my morning off with one of their breakfast sammies and the banana blueberry muffins. I have a huge soft spot for breakfast sandwiches. When I saw that Devil's Teeth serves breakfast sammies, I was super excited to try one! I really appreciate that the sammies are made fresh - right after I placed my order I saw them crack the eggs into the skillet. The portions are also huge, but then again the breakfast sandwich was $5. So how did the food taste? Well...I was slightly underwhelmed by the breakfast sandwich. The biscuit was soft and flaky, but the sandwich was dry and lacked flavor. They should add some hot sauce or ketchup on the side. Also, I really wish they put sausage in the sandwich. There are 2 strips of bacon, cheese, and lots of fluffy scrambled eggs but where's the sausage?? The banana blueberry muffin comes topped with whole blueberries baked into a banana bread muffin. The texture of the muffin was a little too doughy and tasted a bit bland. Just an extra hint of banana flavor and these muffins would be perfect! Only got their ginger cookie because I went a little late in the afternoon and most pastries were gone. I wasn't hungry at that time so I decided on the cookie so I can save it for later. The ginger cookie was delicious!! I wasn't even hungry, but decided to try it anyways and it was yummy! It is about the size of your whole hand (pretty big cookie) for $2.50. There are actual soft ginger candy chunks in it that are sweet/very ginger-y and the cookie itself is a good blend of saltiness and sweetness. Very chewy cookie and did not turn hard or dry out after a day. The staff were very friendly and you can help yourself with some water if you'd like (located at where the sugar/creamer are). There are limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating. They serve not just pastries/brownies/cookies/cakes but also breakfast/lunch sandwiches, lunch dishes..etc. Also have beignet Sundays for $1 a piece...too bad I went on a Saturday. I recently visited Devils Teeth and my overall experience was mixed. The first thing that struck me was the extreme wait time, which made me think it must be a popular spot. The place was indeed bustling, which often indicates quality. However, when I finally got to taste their offerings, I found them to be just okay. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie, and while it was decent, it didn't particularly wow me. I thought it would taste a bit more homemade but it tasted like something you get at Safeway, very sweet. The biscuits I tried were a bit hard, even after requesting them to be heated. On the positive side, their beignets were a highlight, being soft and fluffy, and the coffee was passable. Prices are fair. Street parking. Outside seating available. In the end, I'd rate my experience at Devils Teeth a 3/5. It's worth trying if you're in the area and curious about something new, but it didn't leave a lasting impression on me, and I don't see myself going back. read more

I've lived in the Outer Sunset for years and have been to DT many times. This place is quite overrated: the lemon bars are overly sweet, most of the pastries are overpriced to begin with, and the special breakfast sandwich is a mess (seriously, wrapping the sandwich in foil after it has hollandaise isn't a great idea . . . plus it is incredibly small for an expensive sandwich). It certainly isn't very affordable, and many of the positive reviews (and long lines) come from outsiders who drive out here and take photos for Instagram. That is (probably) why the owner supports reopening a small stretch of highway close to the shop that locals have used for fitness during COVID (and needs to remain closed). That isn't the reason for this negative review, but it should serve as a warning that this place isn't a local community hub - it's just popularized by out-of-town, non-local folks. I'm always surprised at why this place has good reviews. Ok- I admit it- I am taking away two stars because the line is ALWAYS atrociously long. But the REASON WHY the line is atrociously long is because their staff is somehow always horribly untrained and slow. Clearly they have bad management issues and a lack of training, as the people are always kind and helpful, they just don't really seem to know what's going on or how to handle customer service issues. Speaking of that, the other star lost is because I've come here approximately 6 times, and at least half the time, they've screwed up my order. (I've also watched them screw up a bunch of other people's orders on a few occasions). For most people, you've waited so long for your food that you are desperate and just take the wrong order. But if you have allergies, this is really not the place for you. read more

I live two blocks away from Devil's Teeth Bakery and always see a long line, so I thought I'd check it out. Since then, I've been coming back here every week to grab a special breakfast sandwich before heading over to do some volunteer work at the San Francisco Zoo. The special breakfast sandwich is so bomb and seems to be one of the most popular items on the menu. I love that everything is homemade. The biscuit for the breakfast sandwich is deliciously flaky and full of flavor. I've also had their apple turnovers, lemon bars, and shark cookies, which are all amazing. Their Thai iced teas are also really good as they aren't overly sweet like most places. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. If you go weekend mornings, be prepared to wait 30 minutes to get your order. It's just that busy in the mornings, but so worth it! read more

This is why I love the city- for its fresh local food and bakery. I came out of my way to try this new place and I was quite impressed with their baked goods. I had the blackberry muffin with FRESH blackberries baked on top and the oatmeal raisin cookie. Both had the right amount of sweetness and yummy taste. And of course I had the famous Blue Bottle coffee to accompany with. However, I was slightly disappointed that they didn't have the banana blackberry muffin, which is really what attracted me here. I give this bakery 3.5 starts for its fresh and innovative goodies. It may not be the most amazing bakery in the city, but it may probably be so in the neighborhood. read more

We decided to check this place out after reading all the great reviews. We were very full after lunch but really wanted to try this place out. Their pastries looked pretty yummy.. They have the usual, bars, scones, cookies, etc.... But the reason I'm not going back is because the young bearded man in the glasses gave us the biggest most unnecessary attitude ever. Order with him if you don't want to piss him off. Apparently he thought the lady at the register was incapable of moving to her right a bit to grab a couple of things for us. I usually don't have time to sit and write a review on new places in my neighborhood let alone the city I live in but I have to comment on The Devil's Teeth Baking Company. The pastry selection is out of this world and if you are not a sweet tooth type of person then you should think about the curry chicken salad or their quiche. I am so happy to have this place in the outer sunset. It is great to bring your kids and either head to the beach or the park with a nice treat in hand. A little tip for your Sunday plans -- $1 beignets at Devils Teeth Baking Co. and yes, they are as good as they sound. We popped in on a Sunday and grabbed some and they were so yummy. What makes them extra special is that they're made fresh to order, so you're getting them hot and perfectly pillowy every time. They're a pretty average size so my advice is to get at least two -- one is just not going to cut it and you'll regret not ordering more the second you finish the first one. At $1 a pop there is really no reason not to. A perfect little Sunday treat! read more
