Great service! Street parking only -- no seating available but tables for standing dine-in is The Special-- it's a hefty sandwich haha yes add the avocado, my gluttony approves and I'm also good for the rest of the day regarding meals haha Beignets are also delicious!
The beignets here are really, really good! They're fresh, warm, and generously coated with powdered sugar--definitely something you'll want to try. The breakfast sandwiches are also a great choice, and you'll definitely enjoy your meal. One thing I've noticed, though, is that the biscuits can sometimes come out a little more on the burnt side rather than golden-toasted. That said, the flavor and everything inside the sandwich definitely makes up for it. Overall, a solid breakfast spot with some seriously good beignets. Definitely worth trying!
Devil's Teeth is one of my go-to breakfast spots during the week. Located in the Embarcadero Center, this cute little café is part restaurant, part bookstore, part stationery shop, and part coffee shop, giving it a unique and cozy vibe. I usually order the regular breakfast sandwich and ask for the biscuit to be lightly toasted. It comes with eggs, cheese, and bacon, and you can add avocado or other extras if you'd like. At around $13, it's a great value--the sandwich is hearty enough to keep me full well into lunchtime. The customer service is consistently friendly, and I love that they open at 7:00 a.m., making it a convenient stop before work. If you work in or live near San Francisco's Financial District, this is definitely a breakfast spot worth checking out.
TIME: came here around 12:10 on a sunday, was pretty packed but honestly it was because people just ran a marathon and i'm guessing it is also because it was sunday PARKING: not horrible, good street parking if you are lucky enough PLACE: super small, no inside seating so we walked across the street to see nearby table benches to eat our food, but there is a cute little library section where you can get books. you order through the cashier in the front and they call your name when your food is ready. FOOD: TUNA MELT - pretty solid, probably could use a little more work SPECIAL BREAKFAST SANDWICH - super good, lots of everything in one sandwich and the sauce pairs so well with it, the sandwich did fall apart the more i ate it but overall it was solid OVERALL: i get the hype about the breakfast sandwich, they also have seasonal syrups for coffee and such but honestly nothing too special but it was overall really good
Simple ordering system and delicious food. Nothing to complain but to enjoy it next to the beach. I ordered the Special Breakfast Sandwich & Chai Latte. The Biscuits were so soft and buttery. The eggs perfectly fluffy, cheese super cheesy, sauce had an exceptional lemon aroma, and with bits of bacon to seal the deal and make you come back for more. Personally I never had biscuit as good as I had here without having to fight for my life trying to swallow dry carbs. This one was easily enjoyable. Chai Latte was refreshing that morning.
My friend and I met at Devil's Teeth months ago. I have been to the one on Balboa, but this is my first time here at the OG location. Very friendly service. Got one of their chocolate chips cookies and a cup of water. Delicious. Fun fact: Why did they named this bakery Devil's Teeth? Its name refer to the nearby rocky, jagged and shark infested (during Autumn season) Farallon Island. In the 19th century, sailors/mariners nicknamed that island Devils Teeth due to its notorious history of sinking vessels. Today, Farallon Island is a wildlife refuge, largest seabird breeding colonies in the U.S. Sea lions and seals are here because of the wild life protections, its on one of the whale migration routes, and great white sharks also spotted around this island. The only species not allowed are people. The bakery is located on Noriega and 46th Ave.
I came here many years ago... in fact I don't know how long. Before Yelp? Coming to this neighborhood about eight months ago with some visiting friends after having lunch, I was not in a food shopping mode. Having a mental bookmark, when a friend asked about stopping to get some ice cream, I remembered it was just a few doors away. After filling the shopping mission, I walked in and stared at the pastry case. Being mid-afternoon, the choices were limited as the display was pretty bare. I decided to get a couple of items though I believe the sandwich options were likely still available. I decided to get two small items for later in the week. I was fearful I wouldn't like the cranberry that replaced the commonly found raisins in oatmeal cookies but I was wrong. It had the right amount of sweetness and the cookie was thin yet chewy as I like it. I didn't feel the powdered sugar added anything as the brownie was deliciously fudgy enough. I had a neutral flavored drink as the sweetness is enough but not overly so. I was the only customer here a little after 3 pm which isn't surprising since they were closing soon. I hope to come a little earlier so I can see their other offerings and I remember an Earl Grey pastry that was already sold out available that day.
This sandwich was so good. The biscuit was so soft and melted in your mouth. It was definitely filling but super good.
This is my favorite place for home made biscuits, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. My boyfriend got the vegetarian with avocado and mixed greens. There's always a line but it goes by fast. Totally worth the hype in my opinion. The pastries also look delicious and unique! It's small so no seating inside but there's benches outside to eat or take your food to go.
Came for the iconic breakfast sandwich, fell in love with the cinnamon roll! I came to Devil's Teeth with my partner on a Sunday morning after a stroll on the Great Highway. There aren't many places in the Bay Area that specialize in biscuit sandwiches, so I definitely wanted to take the time to go check this spot out! Since I know this is a popular spot, I wasn't surprised of the long line and ended up waiting around 30 minutes in line and another 15 minutes for my sandwich and pastry. The service was very friendly and added to the charm of this small bakery! Even though we came for the sandwich, all the pastries look so good and tempting with flavor combinations I never heard of before (I need to go back to try!) To note, this is a compact shop with no seating on the inside but some outdoor benches! In line, I overheard someone mention how the sandwich was on the smaller side but once we got them, I was throughly impressed how big it was and the serving size! My partner and I got a special sandwich each and I was questioning if we should have shared. In my opinion, I thought the sandwich was good but not mind blowing, but this could be my own preference. The biscuit had a nice soft texture, but I wonder if it was so soft that it didn't add any textural difference to the scrambled eggs, avocado, and bacon. I would also mention that I would have preferred to have more of a stronger lemon flavor to the aioli. That being said what was absolutely delicious was their cinnamon roll. If you like a roll that has crispy edges, while having a lightly gooey consistency, this roll is for you! I don't know if I would come back for the main staple item but I do want to come back to try their other goods!
A solid spot known for their special breakfast sandwich on their delicious homemade biscuits. I love the lemon aioli spread they use. The only thing it needed to make it better was hot sauce. My friends also tried their cinnamon bun, which had some kind of caramelized top. Absolutely amazing!
Stopped at Devils Teeth for breakfast during a family trip to San Francisco. I had seen this spot on social media and it lived up to the hype! We came on a Saturday morning and there was a bit of a line but service was fast. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast sandwich as well as the cinnamon roll. The sandwich was super good and could definitely be shared. The cinnamon roll was probably one of the BEST ones I've had, even with no frosting it was so gooey and moist. You have to ask for it warmed up!
Came here around noon on a Wednesday and there was a parking spot out front and no line. There is no seating inside, just benches out front where people were enjoying their breakfasts. The employees were busy making the baked goods, but let us know that they were ready to take our order whenever we were ready. I came for the special breakfast sandwich, and boy was it special! It was hot and fresh, the bacon was the perfect amount of crispy and cooked, the egg was thick and fluffy, and the biscuit was buttery and soft. Great food, great service, would definitely visit again!
Ok 3rd-4th time here and I tried something new the cinnamon roll/sticky bun is an absolutely, mind blowing delicious treat that Im not ashamed to say I devoured alone. 5/5 easy The famous sandwich was super food when I got it a few months back omg it was delicious and I got it on toaster sourdough instead of a biscuit.5/5 I love their biscuits alone or with butter , jam or a side protein but with the sandwich its too rich for me. Biscuits 5/5 I got the egg bowl the first time here with greens and it was a terrible mess and tasted off. would ever order that again. I would say they do baking really well here and cant go wrong with any of their goods. I will be generous and give 5/5 stars since they are a neighborhood staple and consistently good. But in my opinión they are closer to a 4/5. read more
Morning run so we could make it in time to try their beignets! We made it there before 9am, so they were still available. Last time, we came around noon and they already had a sign saying they were sold out. Seating is outdoors on parklet benches. Once your order is ready, they bring it out and call your name. The beignets weren't bad--just deep-fried dough with powdered sugar, so there wasn't really much else going on flavor-wise. Their other pastries looked more promising, though. They had samples of their cinnamon roll, which looked really good. Definitely worth getting there early if you're specifically going for the beignets! read more

This was on a must try list from a local and I see why! Small, no fills walk up counter that's cranking out some seriously good breakfast food. I got a breakfast sandwich on sourdough and pina colada mochi cake. Took about 15 minutes to come out. read more
Man you just have to try it for yourself. I don't know what they put in their biscuit sandwiches but it is the best in the bay. The sauce they use is just heavenly. The baked goods and the beignets are just To die for. The service is quick and they'll just call out your name outside and you can grab your food. Make sure you grab the right one but also there's been a ton of people everytime I went. The line goes right outside but it goes by really fast so don't worry. The parking can be a nightmare so plan ahead! read more

This is by far my favorite breakfast sandwich in the city. I get a biscuit with greens, pepperjack cheese, and extra lemon garlic aioli. The biscuit is light and melts in your mouth. I could eat this sandwich hot or cold, genuinely (which I do often because I live across town) I like that there is a spacious seating area outside. This place is very popular but the few times I've been, I'm never waiting more than a few minutes for my order. They're employees bring your order outside and call out your name before placing your order on their pick up table. I wish they opened up a location near me but until then, I'll happily make my way across town every once and a while for a breakfast sandwich. read more
had this in my bookmarks for awhile now -- finally got around to stopping by this place since it was on the way home. I got the special breakfast sandwich, a couple pastries and a coffee. the pastries got were the oatmeal cranberry cookie, beer cheese muffin, and raspberry lemon poundcake. they also had free little dog treats on the counter, so I grabbed one for my dog when they finished making my food, the girl gave me a hot coffee (I had wanted ice), so I asked if I could have a cup of ice to make my coffee cold. She was like ?? ooh sorry did you want a iced coffee? I can make you a brand new one! just keep the one you have! She was so sweet for making me a brand new cup. shout out to the workers, they are super awesome and kind! I sat outside on the benches to eat, it was a pretty nice day with the sun. the special breakfast sandwich was sooo good. the biscuit was so buttery flakey and crumbly, but the real star of the show was the lemon garlic aoli omggg. I could lick that sauceynesss up. the avocado also really helped cut the fattiness of the bacon and cheese as well I ate the entire thing in one sitting (it was hard the last 3 bites tho). iced coffee was good to help wash it down had the other pastries later. cookie was yummy and shared with my friend. bacon beer cheese muffin was good for an afternoon snack. the lemon raspberry pound cake was moist and the raspberry frosting outer layer was superbbbb will come back next time to try their cinnamon rolls and other lunch sandwiches read more
A true neighborhood spot that serves breakfast items, pastries and coffee. Order at the counter and wait outdoors to be called. Most people order the fully loaded biscuit sandwiches. There are benches outside if you can snag a spot. I opted for the tuna salad and enjoyed the portion. The tuna salad was just the right amount of tart for me and the salad balanced it well. read more
Stopped by Devil's Teeth Baking Company at One Embarcadero, and this location is incredibly convenient if you work nearby -- so close to so many offices, which makes it an easy breakfast or lunch stop. Everything is made fresh, and it really shows. I ordered the special breakfast sandwich and swapped the pepper jack for cheddar, and it was absolutely mouthwatering. The special is 100% worth it -- the avocado and aioli take it to the next level. Despite a steady crowd, my wait was only about 5 minutes, which is impressive. Bonus points for the free dog treats, which is such a thoughtful touch. They also sell books, cards, and bakery items, all of which looked amazing, plus a fridge stocked with cold drinks and sauces. Overall, a great experience from start to finish -- delicious food, fast service, and a really welcoming setup. Will definitely be back. read more

We tried both biscuit breakfast sandwiches and both were excellent. I highly recommend the one with the lemon aioli, and sausage. I didn't think I would like it, but I got a bite, and it was amazing! Not to take anything away from the more "basic" one, but it was something special. Staff was friendly, patient, and helpful. The location is *very* windy, making it very difficult to eat any purchases there. There is bench seating outside, but no tables, so everyone ether had to sit things down on the benches taking up seating and sometimes spilling food on the saeating meaning it'll get on the next person's pants, or balancing things on their laps. Multiple times, we saw food, trash, or cups of salsa go flying (including a cup of salsa getting blown off the seat and landing on someone's shoe), and twice saw food get blown into the eater's clothing. So come, but come prepared! I didn't get to try it, but someone near us ordered a cinnamon roll, and got it "warmed". They must heat it in a pan or on a griddle, because they said the bottom was "crispy"...and every since I heard then describe it with that word, I've been craving it ever since, and will absolutely get one next trip. read more
Their breakfast sandwiches have been on my list for ages and I'm happy to report that they live up to the hype. With a few days to spare in 2025, I knocked this bakery off my bucket list! We got the special breakfast sandwiches (one with bacon, one subbed veggies) and a regular breakfast sandwich (sub bacon for veggies). We placed the order online so we just picked it up when we arrived but oh my gosh the biscuit was so warm and moist. The egg was fluffy and cheese added the perfect amount of salty. I'm honestly not the biggest bacon person so I didn't miss it and I thought the greens added a good refreshing bite. Different layers had different textures--super tasty, even if it was a bit awkward to eat at first with just a plastic spoon. Beignets (3/5): Good and a great deal for $1. Specialty Sandwich (3/5): Yummy and creamy with the avocado, egg, and sauce. The lemon made it a bit less savory, and the protein portion was small, but still worth it. The breakfast sandwich here is an absolute must try when you have a chance! The homemade sauce, buttery biscuit, bacon & avocado are a deadly combo. The Devil will make you do it, and you'll love it! The devil's teeth baking company is a San Francisco must try. It's the perfect place for Takeaway, and standing in line is definitely worth it. I wouldn't consider it to be a traditional bakery, but they have some really tasty baked goods. The cinnamon roll is high on that list. It's not covered with goopy frosting, even though we all love the frosting, but it's a nice size portion and it's filled with cinnamon and sugar goodness. The outer sides of the role are less tender or moist than the outer portion of the cinnamon roll, but each bite is filled with this caramelized, cinnamon sugar flavor that makes it absolutely divine! The reason for I must try visit is their special breakfast sando. I had read so many reviews, including the yelp reviews, and it was just a given that I had to try it! This deliciousness is all house made, and frankly, I just can't get enough! The biscuit that it's served on is everything you want a biscuit to be. Light, fluffy, and I just want to enjoy this with butter and honey. The special breakfast Sando Includes scrambled eggs, aïoli, bacon, fresh, sliced avocado, and dimension that it's perfection?! It's the meal that you crave and did not even know it. Truly, the only downside, is the fact that there's only a few seats on the outside of the bakery, and it's not really a sitdown establishment. Most people will get in the queue and with their turn to place the order. There is the option to pre-order , but you still must wait in the queue so there is a little bit of a time savings there. As a Sunday special, they offer the house made beignets. I ordered one because it's a dollar and why not try it?! It's not like café Du Monde, it's really very bready with powdered sugar it's OK, but I don't think I would do it again. If you haven't met the devil, you need to do it right away! read more

For this month of November, they're providing people with EBT card & ID - 4 free regular or special sandwiches per week. I bought a ginger cookie, which is chewy sweet and gingery, appropriate for this season. They also have breads, muffins, pies, coffee and other goodies. Open daily, lines are short on weekdays. We were going for a walk at ocean beach but wanted a quick bite before the walk. The line does get quite long. You first wait in line out side before you can order. After ordering you wait outside and there will be seating out doors. There is also a table where the staff will bring you the food you order. We ordered the special which comes with egg, avocado, bacon, cheese on a biscuit and a special sauce. The biscuit is really fresh and flaky. The sauce was saucing. It was enough to feed two people. We also tried the beignet. That took a bit longer as it's made fresh to order. The one thing I would recommend is to put the powder sugar on first before placing the beignet in the bag. I found that all the sugar stuck to the base of the bag and when beignet was put into the bag it did not absorb any powder sugar. Don't try to save calories when you're here. Keep the avocados in. I got two special breakfast sandwiches, and I opted for no avocados on one of them. I made the mistake of taking a bite out of the regular one first (the one with avocado). I don't know what they did, but that avocado was amazing. It made the sandwich. The special without the avocado was just okay. The biscuit was toasted, but too toasted for me because it was on the harder side. It was thick too so it felt like something was missing (yes, it's the avocado that's missing). Long story short. Worth a try. I've been craving a biscuit sandwich ever since I moved to the Bay! My friends and I decided to try Devil's Teeth Baking Company because it came highly recommended to us by a friend. When we arrived, there was a short line on the sidewalk outside Devil's Teeth. The restaurant, itself, is small and has no indoor seating; only counter service. There is a display counter with pastries that looked delicious, but we were there for the sandwiches. We all ordered the Special Breakfast Sandwich and went back outside to wait for our food. There is a small seating area on the sidewalk where we waited until our names were called. The food preparation didn't take long, and soon we were all enjoying our sandwiches. The Special Breakfast Sandwich was delicious. The biscuits were large and salted, and they were piled high with eggs, bacon, aioli, and other delicious ingredients inside. It was exactly what I had been craving. I will 100% be bookmarking this place so I can return ASAP. It's a must-try! It's also close to the beach. read more

Devilish good time, look out for changing prices than what they have posted because there are increases and your bill will be higher than what you anticipate. I've noticed this on my last two transactions. Prices were different than what was posted and I wasn't notified by the cashier so I kindly let them know. It's all day. The kitchen closes approximately 15 minutes before closing for hot food.
What's the best way to reheat the cinnamon roll if you took it to-go? Microwave ? Oven?
Toaster oven if possible 350 for 10 to 15 minutes
How do you order Devil's Teeth for delivery? I can't find it on any of the services like Uber eats or Door Dash
They don't do delivery.
How early would you have to come in order to get a beignet on Sunday?
Best to get there within the first hour or so of business on a Sunday. They go quick!
Will they be open on Thanksgiving day?
Sometimes for preordered pie pickup only. Better to call ahead or check website.
