had this in my bookmarks for awhile now -- finally got around to stopping by this place since it was on the way home. I got the special breakfast sandwich, a couple pastries and a coffee. the pastries got were the oatmeal cranberry cookie, beer cheese muffin, and raspberry lemon poundcake. they also had free little dog treats on the counter, so I grabbed one for my dog when they finished making my food, the girl gave me a hot coffee (I had wanted ice), so I asked if I could have a cup of ice to make my coffee cold. She was like ?? ooh sorry did you want a iced coffee? I can make you a brand new one! just keep the one you have! She was so sweet for making me a brand new cup. shout out to the workers, they are super awesome and kind! I sat outside on the benches to eat, it was a pretty nice day with the sun. the special breakfast sandwich was sooo good. the biscuit was so buttery flakey and crumbly, but the real star of the show was the lemon garlic aoli omggg. I could lick that sauceynesss up. the avocado also really helped cut the fattiness of the bacon and cheese as well I ate the entire thing in one sitting (it was hard the last 3 bites tho). iced coffee was good to help wash it down had the other pastries later. cookie was yummy and shared with my friend. bacon beer cheese muffin was good for an afternoon snack. the lemon raspberry pound cake was moist and the raspberry frosting outer layer was superbbbb will come back next time to try their cinnamon rolls and other lunch sandwiches read more

My friend and I met at Devil's Teeth months ago. I have been to the one on Balboa, but this is my first time here at the OG location. Very friendly service. Got one of their chocolate chips cookies and a cup of water. Delicious. Fun fact: Why did they named this bakery Devil's Teeth? Its name refer to the nearby rocky, jagged and shark infested (during Autumn season) Farallon Island. In the 19th century, sailors/mariners nicknamed that island Devils Teeth due to its notorious history of sinking vessels. Today, Farallon Island is a wildlife refuge, largest seabird breeding colonies in the U.S. Sea lions and seals are here because of the wild life protections, its on one of the whale migration routes, and great white sharks also spotted around this island. The only species not allowed are people. The bakery is located on Noriega and 46th Ave. read more

An Outer Sunset staple! One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had in my life. Soft, crispy biscuit with perfectly cooked eggs, avocado, and their special sauce. The special breakfast sandwich is one of my favorite breakfasts of all time. I go out of the way to find a Devil's Teeth when I'm in the city (so usually this one or the one downtown) to get one. I always add sausage, and it's such a treat! I have frequently heard people in line ask if the sandwich is big and imo this thing is HUGE. I share with my husband, and I think it's the perfect amount so that we can still have lunch after/not feel too heavy. read more

The breakfast sandwich here is an absolute must try when you have a chance! The homemade sauce, buttery biscuit, bacon & avocado are a deadly combo. I also pair it with a coffee to get my morning going. Although there is no seating inside, it's nice to enjoy the outdoors when you're eating it on the benches outside! read more

The Devil will make you do it, and you'll love it! The devil's teeth baking company is a San Francisco must try. It's the perfect place for Takeaway, and standing in line is definitely worth it. I wouldn't consider it to be a traditional bakery, but they have some really tasty baked goods. The cinnamon roll is high on that list. It's not covered with goopy frosting, even though we all love the frosting, but it's a nice size portion and it's filled with cinnamon and sugar goodness. The outer sides of the role are less tender or moist than the outer portion of the cinnamon roll, but each bite is filled with this caramelized, cinnamon sugar flavor that makes it absolutely divine! The reason for I must try visit is their special breakfast sando. I had read so many reviews, including the yelp reviews, and it was just a given that I had to try it! This deliciousness is all house made, and frankly, I just can't get enough! The biscuit that it's served on is everything you want a biscuit to be. Light, fluffy, and I just want to enjoy this with butter and honey. The special breakfast Sando Includes scrambled eggs, aïoli, bacon, fresh, sliced avocado, and dimension that it's perfection?! It's the meal that you crave and did not even know it. Truly, the only downside, is the fact that there's only a few seats on the outside of the bakery, and it's not really a sitdown establishment. Most people will get in the queue and with their turn to place the order. There is the option to pre-order , but you still must wait in the queue so there is a little bit of a time savings there. As a Sunday special, they offer the house made beignets. I ordered one because it's a dollar and why not try it?! It's not like café Du Monde, it's really very bready with powdered sugar it's OK, but I don't think I would do it again. If you haven't met the devil, you need to do it right away! read more

For this month of November, they're providing people with EBT card & ID - 4 free regular or special sandwiches per week. We were going for a walk at ocean beach but wanted a quick bite before the walk. The line does get quite long. You first wait in line out side before you can order. After ordering you wait outside and there will be seating out doors. There is also a table where the staff will bring you the food you order. We ordered the special which comes with egg, avocado, bacon, cheese on a biscuit and a special sauce. The biscuit is really fresh and flaky. The sauce was saucing. It was enough to feed two people. We also tried the beignet. That took a bit longer as it's made fresh to order. The one thing I would recommend is to put the powder sugar on first before placing the beignet in the bag. I found that all the sugar stuck to the base of the bag and when beignet was put into the bag it did not absorb any powder sugar. Don't try to save calories when you're here. Keep the avocados in. I got two special breakfast sandwiches, and I opted for no avocados on one of them. I made the mistake of taking a bite out of the regular one first (the one with avocado). I don't know what they did, but that avocado was amazing. It made the sandwich. The special without the avocado was just okay. The biscuit was toasted, but too toasted for me because it was on the harder side. It was thick too so it felt like something was missing (yes, it's the avocado that's missing). Long story short. Worth a try. I don't love their biscuit, but I really liked the their avocado in their sandwich. read more

I've been craving a biscuit sandwich ever since I moved to the Bay! My friends and I decided to try Devil's Teeth Baking Company because it came highly recommended to us by a friend. When we arrived, there was a short line on the sidewalk outside Devil's Teeth. The restaurant, itself, is small and has no indoor seating; only counter service. There is a display counter with pastries that looked delicious, but we were there for the sandwiches. We all ordered the Special Breakfast Sandwich and went back outside to wait for our food. There is a small seating area on the sidewalk where we waited until our names were called. The food preparation didn't take long, and soon we were all enjoying our sandwiches. The Special Breakfast Sandwich was delicious. The biscuits were large and salted, and they were piled high with eggs, bacon, aioli, and other delicious ingredients inside. It was exactly what I had been craving. I will 100% be bookmarking this place so I can return ASAP. It's a must-try! It's also close to the beach. read more

Finally got to try the infamous Devil's Teeth Baking Company! Let's just say it is so worth the hype!! My friend placed an order online which saved us so much time waiting. Pick up order was a breeze. I tried the special breakfast sandwich, which was a definitely a filling meal. The biscuits were soft, yet moist. Now this is a bakery worth going too! Typically bakeries will run out of pastries in the early afternoon, not Devils Teeth Bakery! I had a late start to my day and arrived around 12:30, within 10 minutes I received my hot coffee, cinnamon roll, and biscuit sandwich. The food was to die for and tasted fresh! Another place checked off my foodie bucket list! I would say the special breakfast sandwich is worth a try at least once! Such a hefty breakfast sandwich filled with cheese avocado sauce and big pieces of bacon. I also appreciate the location since you could grab your goodies and walk down the hill straight to the beach. This place is superrr popular so of course I had to go. My friend was visiting from LA so I was so excited to bring him here and show him our awesome food scene. Sadly, we both ended up pretty disappointed. We both got breakfast sandwiches, one regular and one specialty one with the lemon aioli. The biscuit itself is good but the sandwiches were so dry, I couldn't believe it. Desperately needed hot sauce or something. Other than that, just found the sandwiches pretty average. One if the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had! Get The Special, the aioli and avocado and biscuits are simply superb! Is great with sausage but I prefer bacon. Also amazing cookies! I had the Mexican Hot Cocoa and it was perfectly, soft, chewy, with great spices. Ice latte was also perfectly balanced. This place gets packed! I strongly recommend ordering ahead. I was happy to stop by on a week day during lunch to no line! This place gets super packed on the weekends. It's nice coming here before or after a walk down the great hwy for some breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and pair it with some coffee. I forgot how light, fluffy, and creamy their eggs were. Came in on a rainy day and there was no wait at all! I ordered a single buttermilk biscuit with the side of the special aioli sauce. The biscuit was good and warm from being toasted, but it was on the edge of being a little TOO golden/burnt. The aioli is VERY good and you will want to lick the container. I came on a Thursday morning 8am, there was 3 customers in line. Thank goodness! Ordered 2 special breakfast sandwiches, chai latte & peanut butter cookie. The cashier who took my order, she's so nice. She got every one's order right, she called out everyone's name for their correct items. She is extremely chill which inspired me to be chill at work that day. Waited around 15- 20 minutes for my order. The sandwich is amazing! I love the light spiciness. Egg is fluffy ASF!! Best biscuit I've ever had (not really a fan of biscuit bread) Chai latte wasn't as sweet as other coffee shops/bakery which enlightened me. The line was only formed because the bakery is relatively small and doesn't have a lot of wiggle room so they only let in one party at a time. There aren't any sit-down tables or chairs so this is a grab and enjoy somewhere else. Pastry: Kouign-amann (8.4/10): Oh this was yummy. I love a good kouign amann and Arsicault satisfied my sweet tooth. It was a little too sweet but had a good outer layer crunch and fluffy interior. Chocolate Almond Croissant (7.8/10): This one was amazing! I will say that this one is definitely on the sweeter side but it was still delicious. It's a pretty big croissant with a good crunch but not a lot of flaking :( I did really enjoy the almond paste that was smothered on the inside. The namesake Pistachio Cardamom croissant was excellent for a filled croissant. It had excellent layers and the cream was just enough to add a lusciousness to each bite that wasn't too heavy. The madame lorraine was my other favorite. It was meaty and rich with the soft baked runny yolk and the light touch of rosemary was just enough to accentuate the bite. The not as good...a standard butter croissant. Maybe we got a dud but there was a serious lack of layers in ours and it wasn't as crisp or as buttery as I like. The elote corn croquiche filling was also quite salty which was a shame because the pastry layer was pretty good. I still have two more pastries to try but given the weight and the mixed bag, I definitely expected a lot more from Butter & Crumble. Pro tip: get a butter croissant at Arsicault, walk to B Patisserie and get a kouign amann. You'll have both before the line moves here.

This place does that and takes it up a notch! They have different flavored butter which was very interesting but it absolutely works! We got the sampler and we devoured all four. Also picked up 8 classics and they were all very good. The bun is light and airy but has a good buttered undertone. And about $2 each for the classic pineapple bun (not butter), they are cheaper than most standard bakeries these days. So good, highly recommend!

I've always wanted to try this place since I see a line every time I walked by. There's a lot of foot and car traffic. It's definitely a busy area so expect to park in one of the nearby residential areas or be extremely and walk/bike/bus here! Upon stepping into the tiny shop, I was enveloped in the sweet smell of chocolate chip cookies. It was tempting to put that in my bag, but I stuck with my game plan. They do self serve for all the baked goods and drinks except the pizza and focaccia. You tell the cashier what you grabbed. There's self serve complimentary water on the side too. Got a pecan swirl, one of each square focaccia flavors, and a half pizza (hot). The pizza flavor of the day was triple mushroom with sesame ginger garlic vinaigrette and mozzarella. It was 10/10 delicious!! Do note that they don't heat up the focaccia. Personally, after tasting everything, I'd say the pizza is more worth it than the focaccia "pizzas". The pecan roll was quite addicting too. You can also skip the line if you want to order online on their website and schedule a pick up time, but my gift card didn't work so I just waited in line.

I also love that they offer unique pastries you don't find at most bakeries. The café itself is small and cozy, and the staff were warm and friendly. My favorite being their award-winning Cubano croissant, their black sesame kouign amann, and their choux pastries. I do want to call out how much I appreciate the amount of savory pastries they have since I don't always want a sweet treat the moment I wake up. To note, Juniper is typically busy, but I have never waited in line for more than 10 minutes, even on weekends. They also have a lot of tables for seating, but because of the flow of people, it might be difficult to find a spot. Stop by here if you're around the area! They are also a sister shop of Saint Frank, so you can get some coffee while you're here as well.

Upon entering the coffee shop, you'll see a good amount of seating, but for the times we have gone, the majority of the seats are taken. It is definitely a variety of people socializing, working, reading books, or just hanging out. Parking is metered or street parking, and we haven't had any issue finding parking! It's also in an area where you can shop around (across the street) if you want to grab a bite as well. Our go to orders include the Mocha Dream Espresso Cloud and the Nitro Mango, but we have also gotten the Hojicha Cloud, which is amazing as well. We love the thickness and flavors of the cold foams - you cannot go wrong with any of the cloud drinks. As popular as this place has become, it truly is worth the trip! Anyone who grew up with me knows my absolute hankering for sweets. But, since growing a bit older (hopefully wiser) and a bit more health conscious, I've suppressed a lot of my sugary habits... Until now. Oh Lord, forgive me for I have sinned. Even the thought of consuming sweets sends me into a guilt trip. That being said, I have heard so many great things about Devil's Teeth Baking Company and decided to make the trek from SOMA to the outer Sunset District just for this place. And with a name like Devil's Teeth, who wouldn't be slightly seduced? And like the forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden, I knew I shouldn't have been anywhere near it. Oh well! Sometimes you just gotta YOLO it! *throws scruples to the wind* Upon arrival, as I opened my car door, I could immediately smell the aroma of delicious baked goods permeating through the air. It was like a delicate lullaby to my nose tempting me to come closer. God please help me to resist temptation as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. As I walked into the store, my heart skipped a beat. There they were. Cookies, croissants, cinnamon rolls, danishes and a plethora of other delightful delicacies sat behind the glass display ready to be devoured. I really really really really DO try hard to make healthy choices, but today was NOT going to be that day. The first thing my eyes settled on was a large peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. The angel on my shoulder said not to, but the devil on my shoulder said come on, just try a little. The chocolate chips were so large and numerous throughout the cookie that I was convinced that maybe a small bite wouldn't hurt. Next my eyes shifted to the crumb cake. I grew up eating cheap ol' Little Debbie's and thought that even then, it was the greatest thing in the world. Since those Little Debbie days, I've learned a thing or two about quality and let's just say that this coffee crumb cake had it goin' on in all aspects! Soft, delicately sweet, with a bit of a tart flavor from the rhubarb. Sweet Lordy Jesus. By now I had no conscious at all. Just give me the goodz! I also purchased the cinnamon roll. Words cannot describe what I tasted and felt, but let me go ahead and try. Soft Gooey Sweet Cinnamony Crunchy. You name it. This forbidden "fruit" was better than I had ever imagined. I needed something to wash this all down before leaving, so I decided to go with one of their house made mango juices from the fridge. A perfect way to end such a sugary trip. Prices are a tad high, but for the quality and flavor you get, it is well worth the extra pennies. They have outdoor seating that is great for relaxing with your coffee or pastries, or to even just chatting with your friends. This place is kid friendly and has colorful chalk for children to draw on the city walkways with. They also serve savory dishes, sandwiches and sourdough bread. So, if you aren't in the mood for something sweet, there are plenty of other options to choose from at this bakery. The only excuse I have for going on such a sugar crazed frenzy is "The devil made me do it." Yeah, that's it. I want to start off by giving a heads up to the owners, who decided to open such a fantastic bakery on this street. It is exactly what the neighbor hood needed. The owners are wonderful, always very interested in who you are, and what your about- It makes one feel good to be asked questions- because it shows they truly want to get to know their customers. I have a lot to say about this place.. so hold on to your seats. The staff: About 95% of the staff are sweet, and overly attentive. But lately the same two young girls, have given me less than standard service.. For example, when I came in by myself to get a few things- the young Asian girl with glasses and black hair and another girl with brown hair and blue eyes- ignore me- especially if there is other young men in the bakery. Normally I wouldn't consider this a problem, but it has happened now more than a few times.. It doesn't make any sense to me, because EVERYONE ELSE is SOOO overly nice and polite!??!? BUT I still come here because I love the food and the location.. right by the beach. OK now for the food: In the latest issue of 7x7 magazine that frequents my office... there was an article about the "top 10 places to eat in the outer sunset". What made me SO happy, is that Devil's Teeth scored 2nd place out of 10 for their breakfast sandwich!!! The breakfast sandwich I have had it REALLY good- and then other time disappointing.. but hold on let me emphasize that when its GOOD- its REALLY GOOD. It's a home made fresh biscuit, cheddar cheese, bacon, and what they call their "two egg-er"- which is an enormously sized scrambled egg.. When it's "good" it's due to the perfection of the ratio portion of the bacon, egg, and cheese.. I read in the article that there is to be 3 strips of bacon when in fact... it is ONE piece of bacon folded over. Last time I brought one home for my wife, she opened it up and saw little else but a daunting 4 inch egg-er in the sandwich.. I hate to say this but she just threw the egg to our two labs.. they seemed to like it. it was way too much and over powered the rest of it. But either way I cant deny it is one of my favorite things on their menu. -Pie: The strawberry pie is by far my favorite. Lately they have been doing a strawberry and blueberry blend- which is alright, but my favorite is the plain strawberry! The banana creme pie is second to none and I dream of it often :) -Muffins: My favorite muffin- by far is the black berry muffin.. the blackberry banana is also great as well as the blueberry banana. I can woof down these heavenly muffins in a sitting- that's how good they are. I also highly enjoy the donut muffin, but the fruit muffins are by far the BEST, possibly that Ive ever had in my LIFE! - As far as the rest: The Cheese cake- is AMAZING. I love this little topping they put over it.. its almost like an extra creamy topping.. since cheesecake can b somewhat dry. I love the lemon cheesecake as well. Definitely have to agree with everyone that Devil's Teeth Baking Company is very FRESH! I came in ready to start my morning off with one of their breakfast sammies and the banana blueberry muffins. I have a huge soft spot for breakfast sandwiches. When I saw that Devil's Teeth serves breakfast sammies, I was super excited to try one! I really appreciate that the sammies are made fresh - right after I placed my order I saw them crack the eggs into the skillet. The portions are also huge, but then again the breakfast sandwich was $5. So how did the food taste? Well...I was slightly underwhelmed by the breakfast sandwich. The biscuit was soft and flaky, but the sandwich was dry and lacked flavor. They should add some hot sauce or ketchup on the side. Also, I really wish they put sausage in the sandwich. There are 2 strips of bacon, cheese, and lots of fluffy scrambled eggs but where's the sausage?? The banana blueberry muffin comes topped with whole blueberries baked into a banana bread muffin. The texture of the muffin was a little too doughy and tasted a bit bland. Just an extra hint of banana flavor and these muffins would be perfect! Only got their ginger cookie because I went a little late in the afternoon and most pastries were gone. I wasn't hungry at that time so I decided on the cookie so I can save it for later. The ginger cookie was delicious!! I wasn't even hungry, but decided to try it anyways and it was yummy! It is about the size of your whole hand (pretty big cookie) for $2.50. There are actual soft ginger candy chunks in it that are sweet/very ginger-y and the cookie itself is a good blend of saltiness and sweetness. Very chewy cookie and did not turn hard or dry out after a day. The staff were very friendly and you can help yourself with some water if you'd like (located at where the sugar/creamer are). There are limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating. They serve not just pastries/brownies/cookies/cakes but also breakfast/lunch sandwiches, lunch dishes..etc. Also have beignet Sundays for $1 a piece...too bad I went on a Saturday. Would like to try their beignets next time if I get the chance! read more

I recently visited Devils Teeth and my overall experience was mixed. The first thing that struck me was the extreme wait time, which made me think it must be a popular spot. The place was indeed bustling, which often indicates quality. However, when I finally got to taste their offerings, I found them to be just okay. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie, and while it was decent, it didn't particularly wow me. I thought it would taste a bit more homemade but it tasted like something you get at Safeway, very sweet. The biscuits I tried were a bit hard, even after requesting them to be heated. On the positive side, their beignets were a highlight, being soft and fluffy, and the coffee was passable. Prices are fair. Street parking. Outside seating available. In the end, I'd rate my experience at Devils Teeth a 3/5. It's worth trying if you're in the area and curious about something new, but it didn't leave a lasting impression on me, and I don't see myself going back. read more

I've lived in the Outer Sunset for years and have been to DT many times. This place is quite overrated: the lemon bars are overly sweet, most of the pastries are overpriced to begin with, and the special breakfast sandwich is a mess (seriously, wrapping the sandwich in foil after it has hollandaise isn't a great idea . . . plus it is incredibly small for an expensive sandwich). It certainly isn't very affordable, and many of the positive reviews (and long lines) come from outsiders who drive out here and take photos for Instagram. That is (probably) why the owner supports reopening a small stretch of highway close to the shop that locals have used for fitness during COVID (and needs to remain closed). That isn't the reason for this negative review, but it should serve as a warning that this place isn't a local community hub - it's just popularized by out-of-town, non-local folks. Locals know this place isn't anywhere near a steal. read more

Literally the best gem in San Francisco. It's bittersweet that I had to leave this review because I know how popular this place is already, but now it's gonna be even more popular! This local, neighborhood gem is located in the Sunset area. Only 5 blocks from Ocean Beach! Their bakery is simple and ingredients rich with butter and even more love! When you're here you have to get the breakfast sando. Hammered between 2 flakey biscuits that's more flakey than the people in SF. The ingredients are simple: egg, cheese, and bacon. On Sunday: get the beignets, you wont regret it. They're also famous for their shark cookies. Yes you heard that right... shark. Shaped. Cookies! The cookies are so buttery you'll probably need to run a 5k to sweat it all out. All in all you can never go wrong with a quick visit here. PRO TIP: go in groups so save spots in line. I'm always surprised at why this place has good reviews. Ok- I admit it- I am taking away two stars because the line is ALWAYS atrociously long. But the REASON WHY the line is atrociously long is because their staff is somehow always horribly untrained and slow. Clearly they have bad management issues and a lack of training, as the people are always kind and helpful, they just don't really seem to know what's going on or how to handle customer service issues. Speaking of that, the other star lost is because I've come here approximately 6 times, and at least half the time, they've screwed up my order. (I've also watched them screw up a bunch of other people's orders on a few occasions). For most people, you've waited so long for your food that you are desperate and just take the wrong order. But if you have allergies, this is really not the place for you. read more

I live two blocks away from Devil's Teeth Bakery and always see a long line, so I thought I'd check it out. Since then, I've been coming back here every week to grab a special breakfast sandwich before heading over to do some volunteer work at the San Francisco Zoo. The special breakfast sandwich is so bomb and seems to be one of the most popular items on the menu. I love that everything is homemade. The biscuit for the breakfast sandwich is deliciously flaky and full of flavor. I've also had their apple turnovers, lemon bars, and shark cookies, which are all amazing. Their Thai iced teas are also really good as they aren't overly sweet like most places. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. If you go weekend mornings, be prepared to wait 30 minutes to get your order. It's just that busy in the mornings, but so worth it! read more

This is why I love the city- for its fresh local food and bakery. I came out of my way to try this new place and I was quite impressed with their baked goods. I had the blackberry muffin with FRESH blackberries baked on top and the oatmeal raisin cookie. Both had the right amount of sweetness and yummy taste. And of course I had the famous Blue Bottle coffee to accompany with. However, I was slightly disappointed that they didn't have the banana blackberry muffin, which is really what attracted me here. I give this bakery 3.5 starts for its fresh and innovative goodies. It may not be the most amazing bakery in the city, but it may probably be so in the neighborhood. read more

We drive all the way from Antioch just to visit Devil's Teeth Baking Company, and it never disappoints. This little gem is renowned for its breakfast biscuits, which are absolutely worth the trip. After visiting this place several times, I thought it was about time to share my thoughts! Their breakfast sandwiches truly live up to the hype. However, I must admit that every time I order one, I find the biscuit to be a bit too dry for my taste, and I end up discarding the top bun altogether. We decided to check this place out after reading all the great reviews. We were very full after lunch but really wanted to try this place out. Their pastries looked pretty yummy.. They have the usual, bars, scones, cookies, etc.... But the reason I'm not going back is because the young bearded man in the glasses gave us the biggest most unnecessary attitude ever. Order with him if you don't want to piss him off. Apparently he thought the lady at the register was incapable of moving to her right a bit to grab a couple of things for us.
