I'm a sausage egg and cheese kind of girl so of course that's what I got and I was recommended on an English muffin which I was surprised it was a decent size. I came here before getting a haircut and got the beef Bourguignon sandwich. It was massive, and a very high quality sandwich (especially given the price). They put it on a panini press, so it rendered the French roll crisp and thin, a perfect envelope for the braised beef within. The beef itself had been well braised and was tender, with the occasional mushroom and carrot as well. I could taste the subtle flavors of whatever wine they used: it was good! I also like how the sandwich is kind of banh mi adjacent: the pickled carrots have a nice texture and acidity to contrast the beef. And as I said, it was massive! I feel disappointed. I was expecting so much more having seen their reviews. Sandwich was tightly packed and it felt like the bread was nicely toasted. After a couple bites, I could only taste the beef bourginon. Was hoping the shredded carrots could add a little texture to each bite, but I could hardly taste or see them. Didn't know what the KP sauce was. Again, all I could taste was the beef and its juices. Too meaty for me. The bread wasn't as toasted as I'd like and quickly became soggy. A small shop in fidi. Not much seating but there are some standing counter space inside, definitely more of a pick up and take back to office situation.
