Nice comfy couches, good coffee, clean restrooms, nice space. Nice place to get a cup of Joe. Happy Yelping!

Beautiful interior. There is a little lab set up at the front and it is aesthetically beautiful. The pastries are out of this world and the coffee is a solid 2/5. The coffee was a little dirt tasting for my liking. 4/5 stars for the beautiful interior and kind staff. Also, no cozy's for small size drinks. Cappuccino can't be ordered in a larger size. Please get smaller cozies.

They just recently moved down the street to 148 Grand. I live the way they design and use their space. The new space feels like there is more seating and is just as beautiful. They have great quality coffee and i've always had a pleasant experience.

My parents and I were aimlessly wandering on the Williamsburg riverwalk, appreciating the New York City skyline like you only can when you have a visitor in town. Sometimes I need a reminder that I have spent my mid 20s in the most electric city in the world. As we were taking it all in, I saw at least 4 different people walking by with Devocion coffee cups and made a mental note that I need to try that place. So 5 minutes later when my Mom suggested we should stop for a coffee, I was locked and loaded with a suggestion. We made the short walk to Devocion and entered what looked like a former industrial building that had been converted to a coffee shop. We walked down the elongated hallway and entered a space that felt like a movie set in the best way possible: A wall full of living plants slowly climbing onto the ceiling, 2 inviting worn in couches in the center, rustic tables and chairs scattered around the space, vintage light fixtures, and natural light FLOODING in from a huge skylight overhead. Whoever designed this deserves some kind of award. I felt the spiritual connection of being outside while having the comfort of being inside, and that's exactly what I'm looking for while being in a coffee shop. My coffee was great, but I always just get an iced americano so it's rare I dislike a coffee if we are being honest. My parents got their little boujee oatmilk vanilla lattes and were raving about them. As we were getting set to leave, it started dumping rain so we sat in here for an extra 20 minutes until it passed. Watching rain violently pour down on a big skylight is a spiritual experience. Williamsburg is also a great place to people watch. Gotta love the eclectic patrons of the Burg. I'll be back in here to post up and crank out some reviews one of these days. This is definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in New York. It is very beautiful and cozy inside, coffee is great, and lots of pastries to choose from. What not to like?

Waited around 20 minutes on Sunday afternoon. The drinks were amazing. In particular the hot chocolate was incredible. The vibes were amazing as well. Would highly recommend.

Great coffee, nice atmosphere & welcoming staff, what more can you ask for? There's a ton of seating options both indoors & outdoors so you'll find people working during the week. I had a butter croissant and an iced latte. The butter croissant was warm & buttery and the coffee was strong and not watered down.

    Cherry cascara!! 11/10
    Taylor S.

Love the ambiance here! I ordered the cascara drink after the barista offered to let me taste it (which I greatly appreciated) and this thing is DELICIOUS. It's a cold pressed drink made from the coffee cherry fruit, not the bean. It's naturally sweet (no added sugars) and so so refreshing. Tastes like drinking a cold cherry soda! I would highly recommend this. It still has caffeine but it's less acidic and less caffeinated than coffee. A great option for a hot summer day.

    Caili C.

I came by for an afternoon coffee and opted to try the sparkling cascara which is similar to a sparkling ice coffee but with cascara (a coffee cherry tea made from the dried skin of the coffee plant). There is a unique almost medicinal taste to the cascara which I really enjoy. Definitely something unique to Devocion to try!

I'm surprised this place isnt closer to a 5! Yes, the line is long, but the coffee is so dang good that its always worth it. We had a double chocolate cookie and it was AMAZING. Miss their OG chocolate chip cookies. The inside is hard to find a seat but if you do, you're lucky bc its absolutely beautiful ambiance inside. Highly recommend this place if nearby. I haven't been to all the locations but the one on Grand St in Williamsburg is nice and the pastries are fresh.

This is such a cute space with great lighting and a lively working environment. I got the cappuccino and have just been catching up on my Yelp reviews. The coffee in itself is also tasty because you can actually taste the espresso flavor which showcases a good balance with the milk. It also came out right away.

Rude staff, and the coffee was not worth the hype. It was way too small (my latte was more like a cortado) and too sour.

If you look at the mural behind the cash out point it gives you a little touch of history what once happened within these walls. I ordered the salmon toast. It was a little hard but I like the cream cheese was thinly spread not just thrown in like many places. The salmon was good and the mint tasted fresh. The capers were like slightly toasted and crispy, i've never had them like that before and I loved it. I think the toast was just missing a little drizzle of olive oil on top. To be honest, I think the capers were my favorite part. They were just this unique texture. I've never experienced before. I also got an iced lavender chai latte to go. It was so light and delightful, with the perfect blend of lavender. I really enjoyed this place and would totally come back again.

When you enter there is a bar you can sit at and two large high top tables next to it. As you walk further in there is a lounge with couches and various sizes tables. The whole space is surrounded by books! Heaven! We ordered a chai, matcha and a ginger cookie. Shout out to the woman taking my order for comping me my drink for my birthday! Everyone from the staff was friendly - I really enjoyed being there. The only thing I would say is someone should come by to check on the tables more often as I had to return other people's abandoned drinks. But you know what first world problems, am I right? Maybe they can have a sign or mention to customers to return their own cups before leaving. I sort of can't imagine why people don't... It is quite popular spot so you need to be very patient and strategic if you want to grab a table, as well as sprinkled with a little bit of luck. We unfortunately got there a little late. I went there at 3pm and hunted for a table and my friend got there by 330pm. By the time we ordered and started drinking our coffees - we were informed the lounge area will be closed at 4pm to prepare for the evening wine bar. Oh right this cafe turns into a wine bar in the evenings! How cool! At 4pm we thankfully grabbed one of the high tables - sharing it with another couple but it was large enough for the 4 of us. The lights dimmed and the atmosphere changed to more intimate. We unfortunately had to leave at 5pm, but I imagined picking up a James Baldwin book, ordering some white wine and enjoying both.... Mmm definitely next time. Maybe sometimes after work - sounds like a great wind down.

We tried the melon shaved ice $22 for the large which was a bit pricy but it was quite delicious. We were worried that the large might be too much for two people but honestly we were able to finish it without a problem. The melon pieces were sweet, the ice is milk based so it was creamy and flavorful on its own. We barely used the condensed milk that it came with (and we loved how they put it on the side for us instead). At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more. For food, we ordered the royal chai, mango lassi, breakfast kathi-rito, and the condensed milk bun. The standouts were the royal chai and the breakfast kathi-rito. The royal chai was creamy, salty, perfect sweet, and silky. It had notes of cinnamon and saffron, paired with sea salt. I loved this drink. The breakfast kathi-rito was tasty. I loved the potatoes, cheese, egg, avocado, and whatever else was in it. The sauce on the side was delicious. Not exactly sure what it was but it was sweet with a kick. The mango lassi did not have enough mango flavor for me, I couldn't justify paying $10 for it. The condensed milk bun was good but it was similar to any other sweet bun in an asian bakery. I'd pass on both of these. Overall, I'd highly recommend checking out Fontainhas. It'd be a perfect spot to check out if you're in the area for the Brooklyn Flea, or just Dumbo.

I'm sad to say that this has turned out to be a disappointment, catering to the Matcha-drinking Alo-wearing DUMBO crowd. One Google reviewer referred to the cuisine here as "gentrified", which I'm inclined to agree with. The filter coffee was absolutely atrocious - one is not supposed to be asked "with or without milk?" when ordering filter coffee. The paneer sandwich was supposedly made with Amul butter, but any charming nostalgic aspect of this dish was removed by the dry layer of ghas-phus above the paneer bhurji.
