Lots of restaurants to choose from at Moab and we chose Dewey's. What a good choice we made!!!! Dan was an attentive, personable waiter. We had chicken cordon blue with a sweet mustard sauce on top of the large pan seared chicken, ham and cheese and it was awesome! BBQ chicken wings were tender and saucy and tortilla soup was tasty! Had a great dinner at Dewey's last night! After looking around, it seemed that every place in town was booked up and had a wait time of 45 minutes at the very least. When we called, they said they could take us right away and they had plenty of seating available. When we got there, it was packed and they said wait time would be around 20 minutes. So essentially they lied to get us in the door, but at this point we were so hungry we just decided to wait it out. Our waitress was super nice! She was very welcoming and we learned a lot about Moab and there's no better person to learn from than a local who's been there for 40+ years! We were seated next to a high school cheerleading team and they were pretty loud and obnoxious, but the chances you'll face that are pretty low so I wouldn't worry about that so much! The food was very good! We got an appetizer for the table, which was nachos (we ordered chicken). It was so good! The soup of the day was Chicken Tortilla Soup and if you like soup like me, you're in luck. It was sooo good! Has a little southwestern kick to it unlike home in the northeast, but I LOVED it! When we travel, we like to try local places for dinner and avoid chains as much as we can. Dewey's had lots of choices that appealed to us both. Because we had the dogs with us, we opted for take-out. I placed the order with a few special requests for our Hawaiian and Garden burgers. Nothing too crazy; pickles in a separate container so that everything didn't taste like dill pickles, no onion and extra ketchup for the fries. I was surprised to hear "pickup in 15 minutes", since this was at 7pm and restaurants were busy. I showed up 15 minutes later and was able to pay right away. The food took another couple of minutes, which was to be expected. Everything was exactly how we ordered it and very tasty. The Garden burger is a decent choice for vegetarians or anyone, really. I'm usually not a fan of black bean burgers because they can be heavy and almost chalky. This one wasn't like that at all. Great texture and consistency. The fries are a medium cut and perfect for dipping into ketchup. My partner's Hawaiian burger was delicious with a good balance of flavors. We were so excited to eat that we forgot to take pictures of our food! Next time. And there will be a next time. read more

This was by far one of the best meals I've had out in a very long time. The special was a pork chop and it was just that... special. even the dinner roll was great, the salad was really fresh with homemade croutons. Great little place. Still brand new and they are still working on their patio it was not complete when we visited, but it looks like it will be really nice when it is done. We sat at the bar. The AC was struggling in that area but it's HOT in Moab this week so I won't fault them. I could've asked to move but I didn't so that's on me! Seating was open all over. A great place to eat in Moab, UT. We had a salad with kale, mixed green, goat cheese, nuts, and slices of apple topped with delicious cranberry dressing. Dewey's Restaurant and Bar is a mixed bag. The food although tasty took way to long to arrive, even with a less than packed dining area. Our onion rings were overdone and there was not enough ketchup with our order. The burger I ordered it was very delicious. The brioche bun really completed the meal and the frys where some of the best i've had at a restaurant. There was a strange smell coming from our corner of the restaurant and really ruined the atmosphere of the building. The bathrooms were also lacking. If they put the amount of effort and work into the decorating the bathrooms as they did the main dining area, it would really bring the whole restaurant together. The seating was also subpar. The booths and chairs are suitable but the smell was very distracting from The overall experience. The COVID-19 guidelines were on point. All of the waiters wore masks, and people were evenly spaced out around restaurant. In conclusion Dewey's Restaurant and Bar is a nice scenic stop in Moab Utah, that the whole family will enjoy. For a bit higher quality food I would recommend going somewhere else in the city of Moab. read more

Quick pick based on Yelp reviews on our way back into Moab from Islands in the Sky. Seated ourselves in the bar. Atmosphere is casual and clean. Orlando was our server and was very friendly and patient with all our questions regarding both the drink and food menu. Had the pork quesadilla for an appetizer (shareable) and my husband ordered the south of the border chicken sandwich and I ordered the plain Jane with cheese and bacon (both with fries). My husband couldn't say enough about how good his sandwich was and I can concur (let me have a bite) my burger was good and the fries were my favorite. The steak was excellent and cooked to a perfect medium. Good variety of veggies, that were cooked well, not mushy. Rice was strange. Not what you'd expect from an Asian dish. Terikayi sauce was too sweet for our liking. But overall, the dish was good and portion was decent. Ambiance - we sat on the bar side. Typical sports bar vibe. We walked forever at dead horse and needed some carbs. We all got burgers, some wings, a few drinks, and a side order of vegetables because it's important to be healthy. Our waitress was really great, and she was so fast and friendly. The fries are just what you'd want after walking for miles and miles.
