Dia bom is a new vendor at the Crossroads Collective and WOW is it delishh! I go thr pork belly and chorizo bao. The pork belly is surprisingly filing, it looks like a few pieces but each on is packed with a flavor punch. The pork meat and fat melt together to create a very tasty concoction. The chorizo bao is flavorful and the pickled onions sealed the deal for me. Get you some Kushiyaki next time you're at the Collective, I'm surely going back for the sweet bao.

We went during a foodie event so the wait was long but that was expected. I've eaten here a few times and the food is great. Unique flavors!

I ordered the chicken yakatori and boy was I in heaven. For the price, I was expecting more food than the two skewers of chicken I received. I tried eating this in the car, my whole outfit I was wearing will never be the same. This is a very saucy meal, and I hope all of you learn from my mistake and eat this at a table. Also when you order pickup, make sure to read the instructions. I sat waiting for my food only to check twenty minutes later and it said pickup at the bar. I dreamed so much about this food that I went home and tried to remake it and it was just not the same. Dow bom does it best

When we arrived for our 4:30p reservation, there was a line of half a dozen people hoping to get a seat at one of the bars first come, first serve. One is the alcohol bar and one is a sushi bar. Our server was amazing. She had great recommendations and made sure what we ordered was spaced out nicely as the tables are small and some of the dishes take up a good amount of space. We ordered bottles of mineral water. We don't really drink so this made the meal feel even more upscale and it went so well to cleanse the palate between courses. The food was phenomenal. There wasn't a dish we didn't love but extra about out for the hamachi kama yaki - grilled yellowtail collar. It was bigger and meatier than I expected. Delicious. The sushi here is amazing. I'm half Japanese. When I go to sushi places not near a coast, I usually don't get much raw aside from scallops and spicy tuna or salmon rolls. These hand rolls were absolutely fantastic. The seaweed wrappers had covers on them to slide off just before taking a bite so the wrappers stayed crispy. I would go back here just to order various hand rolls. The pad Thai was the best I've had. The noodles were perfectly cooked and smooth in my mouth with the light yet creamy sauce. I could only take a couple bites as we ordered more than we expected we could eat haha. I cannot wait to go back to Milwaukee to go back.

The reason I speak to the number of adults is because they were a bit inappropriate: they were very loud and I felt so bad because I have no doubt the group I was with disrupted the experience of other diners. I'm not a prude but even I was slightly embarrassed at times (I didn't know the group well and didn't anticipate the noise/volume). ANYWAY, I bring all that up because our server tolerated us and I was very grateful for him. Aside from being kind, he was very knowledgeable about trying/pairing items and making suggestions for us. The drinks were beautiful and the food was bright--fresh and flavorful. Bathrooms were spotless. I am looking forward to coming back on my own ;)

We came after visiting one of the nearby breweries. We were seated right away at the bar. I had a glass of the Black River sake and my boyfriend tried the Blossom of Peace. His was much sweeter and I was very happy with mine. They weren't served in traditional sake cups, just in regular wine glasses but this was good with me as they were a normal sized wine pour. They had a special for Bluefin Tuna. We shared the Nigiri trio by cutting each piece in half. My favorites were the two fattier cuts ( otoro, and chutoro ) I remember at this point we wished we had ordered another appetizer since the restaurant was busy and our main sushi rolls took a bit of time to arrive. We decided next time we would at least get the edamame in between plates. The rolls we ordered were the Ponzu Jello and Riverwest. The Riverwest description listed a smoky miso mayo which I did not notice a different from regular flavored mayo on a roll. The Ponzu Jello was unique and worth trying! The rolls were fat and very filling so we did not need to order more than two! I think we both agreed that the Riverwest roll was our favorite of the two. After that we noticed there was a special for some premium sake, so we ordered the G Joy. Very delicious, easy to drink and a perfect size to share. I will add this restaurant to my places to visit again!

For appetizers, we ordered a Fresh Speing Roll, Crab Rangoon (made with imitation crab, as stated on their menu), and a special Crispy Roll, which I would describe as Nam Khao in roll form, still served with Romaine lettuce wraps. All were very good, and we would order them again. The spring roll had a ham stick in it, which was different than any other spring roll I've had. For entrees, we ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and the Pho with Oxtail, which was also a Sunday special. The Pad Thai was slightly sweet, and they used pho noodles for it. The Pho broth was among the most rich and flavorful I've ever had, and the oxtails were among the most tender and delicious I've ever had! The pho also had meatballs and steak in it. The menu is mostly Southeast Asian, and seems to accommodate all tastes. I would dine there again, and I recommend it!

The minute we walked in, a man sitting next to the hostess--who appeared to be part of the restaurant, not a customer--just stared at us. No greeting, no smile... just staring. The hostess also seemed a bit confused when we walked in. She asked if we had reservations; we said no. Then she asked if a high-top table was fine, as if the restaurant were packed. We agreed, assuming there would be a long wait for a regular table. But as she led us over, there were plenty of regular tables available. So right off the bat, the vibe wasn't particularly welcoming. As for the service, the waitress did a great job with the welcome and checked on us at a perfect pace. We also liked the decor--plenty of cute design elements that would make for great photos and draw people in. The menu was well done too: not overwhelming, just the right amount of variety in each category. Honestly, this part is why I gave the place more stars than I probably should have. As for the food, it was just okay for us--though that may have been due to what we ordered. There were only two of us, and we got three dishes: shrimp fried rice, beef chow fun, and kung pao chicken. We thought that would give us a good variety. The food had good flavor, but all three dishes tasted very similar. If you try these same dishes elsewhere, the flavors are usually more distinct. I do wish we had tried more of the appetizers and drinks--maybe that would have changed our rating a bit.

Yes, I know these are Karaage but they are very similar. I usually get the boneless wings just because I am weird and do not like having sticky fingers when I am eating, so these I can eat with a fork. The crispiness is always spot-on and I love that they give you just enough sauce to give everything a good coat and flavor but not too much that the chicken is drowning. I also really love the rice cakes that they add into the tenders and wings, it's like a nice little chewy treat to go with everything. Their fries are a LOT of fries!
