Fish tacos

I prob would have rated it a 3.5 if the food wasn't so delicious. This is our first time here, but it started off rocky. First, Google says food truck is on Zaragoza, it is not. Second, I called to order-no answer but they text me saying to order thru text. I pull over to text my order, and drive 10 min to Lee Trevino location. When I'm telling the hostess about phone order, I get a text saying "Ready in 20." So now I wait at restaurant, for over 35 min for food before I ask if it's ready. As you can see in pic, the place wasn't very busy. Seems like they have one chef so there may be delay in cooking, but I think the service may need improvement. From the phone ordering to the response time, to food being ready. The restaurant has nice murals, very fitting to the history of the food truck start. I ordered fish tacos, apparently it's not a combo unless you ask for it, which I thought that was standard and was never offered a combo but now I know for next time. Tables and floor are a bit dirty, crumbs on chairs, floor and tables. I hope they continue doing well, might just be growing pains of their success. We will return, the food is outstanding and pricing is also great!

I've waited over five years to eat at Dia De Los Pescados after hearing it praised like gospel, whispered from taco truck to boardroom as the undisputed best in town. Finally made it. And yes, it's true. These are the best fish tacos in El Paso. Crisp and golden on the outside, tender inside, with just enough citrus and sauce to feel like a revelation and not a gimmick. The place has that dusty West Texas version of a beach shack vibe. Clean, cheerful, a touch of the Gulf transported inland. Staff are friendly without hovering. Prices are fair, especially when the food makes you want to stand up and applaud. Next time, it's the po' boy. If it's even half as good, I may never shut up about it.

I cannot rave enough about this spot!! I've been enjoying día de los pescados for years now, and even though I now live out of town I make sure to stop by each time I come back!! Shrimp Alfredo fries, fish tacos, queso fries, shrimp tacos...they're all a must try! It's all made to order so make sure to grab a drink while you wait for your food! Their new sit in location is such a cool spot to hang out! Their well thought out decor goes awesome with their vibe ! If you live in EP don't sleep on this great spot!

The food here is FANTASTIC. I'm from Cali and these taste like home. The service is always great here. The price is right for the great flavors is these tacos. Next time I will be trying the nachos. 10/10

In recent years I became a pescatarian, but it is always hard to find great places for Tacos that are not meat. Dia De Los Pescados solved that problem! I only wish I lived closer! Vibe: The inside is cool, I loved the murals and open ceiling. My only comment - I was there at an off hour and it was a bit cavernous and lacked energy. But as I said, it was an off hour. Service: I ordered and sat at the bar. Service was great - super friendly - personable - knowledgeable. I felt like I was at someone's house, enjoying a great meal. Food: Great Flavors! I had both Fish and Shrimp Tacos. They definitely hit the spot as I had just finished climbing to the Top of Texas - Guadalupe Peak. I digress - back to the tacos. They were both very plentiful - no shortage of fish or shrimp. My only complaint - I thought they were a bit over sauced. Don't get me wrong - I love sauce - but also want to be able to eat my taco and enjoy all the flavors. Needless to say - I ate every last drop. I'd highly recommend Dia De Los Pescados!

I was in El Paso this week and managed to stop by not once, not twice, but three times! I hadn't had their food in years so it was a must! Everything was incredibly delicious! You can taste the quality of the food in every bite! Everything is fresh and made to order. I tried the tacos, Rangoon nachos, Alfredo fries, queso fries, shrimp Alfredo and of course the po boy sandwich (my favorite) I have yet to find any place who's po boy sandwich even comes close to this one. THEY ALSO HAVE A CHILE RELLENO BURRITO FOR THOSE BURRITO LOVERS LIKE ME (it's not on the menu but they will gladly make it for you. They are kid friendly with kids Menu options and high chairs for the little ones. The service is great, their employees are friendly and will gladly offer great suggestions if you're not sure what to order. Now the restaurant itself, where do I start?! It's so lively and the walls tell a story of the restaurants history and where it all started (the food truck where I first tried their food). If you haven't tired their food, what are you waiting for?!

Just a little note: a lot of food creators went yesterday to the soft opening of Dia De Los Pescados. It's in the old TacoRita location. The food is still as delicious and they have some new items only available at this site down location that weren't available yet, so I can't review it. I will say that their coconut shrimp and their po'boy is still slangin'. They are so friendly and proud of their food and accomplishments. Rightly so, since they wouldn't serve my friend the last coconut shrimps because the cook burned them and they would rather refund her than serve her something less than their standards. Going from a food truck to a physical location in less than 2 years is amazing and their loyal customers and friendly service is the reason why they're so successful. Prices are the same as the food trucks but with new items. Their grand opening is on Friday and they should have the new items ready to go then. A little bit of advice for them, turn the volume down in the front and the back kitchen. I felt like I was in the battle of the bands dining with my friend. We do appreciate that we can BYOB though. Come check them out and support local! Dia De Los Pescados 1491 Lee Trevino Dr, El Paso, TX 79936 #eptx #915 #elpaso #texas #thingtodoelpaso

This is one of those places may not look like much from outside but the food is excellent. I wanted some Fish and Chips . I ordered the Fish and Chips and one fish taco . Both were excellent . Cold draft beer and Fish and Chips , can't beat it The owner , she was so nice and personable. I highly recommend Dia De Los Pescados.

This place is located across from the Vista grocery store - in a black food truck! They had tables, if you'd like to stay and sit. The staff was super friendly and patient while we decided what to get. They also brought it over to our car, which was an added bonus. We got the coconut shrimp (we had six in the order, not sure how many should come in it), shrimp tacos, and shrimp po boy. Everything was good, but I wouldn't say they're the best I've ever had. The slaw is very heavy with a mayoish based sauce, so the tacos are just dripping in it. They're incredibly spicy too, so know that if you're not used to spice. Over all, decent. Worth a stop if you dig seafood!

I've been following DDLP's Instagram page for months but they are usually a solid 40 minute drive from me at their usual East side spot. So when I saw that they were starting to come over to the West side at Sunland Park I was pumped. I am telling you right now, do not hesitate to check out this food truck! Just GOOOOO. These are the best fish tacos in town - HANDS DOWN! I could have eaten 4 more and not because I was still hungry, because they were that good! The portions are solid, these aren't 'street taco' size. I already can't wait to go back and try their Shrimp Po' Boy!

Carne Asada Fries

Never in my life have i tried a more delisioso carne asada fries in my life. You have single handedly got me to gain 25 extra future pounds. Sooooooooo Gooood!!! Edit: so good I said "in my life" twice in the same sentence.

I saw this place talked about on support local El Paso and Facebook did not disappoint me with this find. They are completely outdoors and play pretty good music. The woman taking orders was extremely helpful and made sure to ask us if this was our first time here. She suggested that instead of the full order of shrimp queso fries, to do a half order and the other half of shrimp Alfredo fries. It was the perfect mix. I also ordered their shrimp and chips and he ordered 4 fish tacos. Everything was cooked perfectly and I could tell that the tarter sauce was homemade. Will be coming back by here to try more on their menu for sure.

Nice ambience to go eat and food was delicious except for the fish I got in my fish and chips that was somewhat mushy in the middle.

Had multiple thousand Google reviews and they were all close to five stars. So I knew I had to check it out. It was super close to my hotel, so I popped in the car and found it without trouble. Trouble. Again, there is pretty limited parking so it's kind of hit and miss whether you'll find a spot or not. Fortunately, I did. When you walk up to the place, the building itself is pretty nondescript. They have a nice selection of outside seating, and your window to order is outside. Very nice lady at the counter gave me helpful suggestions and so I ordered three tacos and an amazing lime and cucumber fresca. Went in and sat down inside and was pleasantly surprised by the interior. It definitely had more of an upscale bar vibe to it than a Taco shop. The waiter that brought out my tacos told me that it turns into more of a nightclub after hours. I may have to go check that out. The tacos themselves were absolutely off the chain! The tortillas were blue corn and everything on it tasted so fresh and so wonderful. The carnitas was fantastic, the brisket Taco was to die for and the blackened shrimp Taco was one of the best I've ever had. Had. The flavors were so balanced and on point, it was one of the most satisfying taco experiences I have had!! I will probably hit this place up a couple more times before I leave El Paso. If you are in El Paso, you probably already know about this place. But I'm telling you what you cannot go wrong for tacos and that lime/ cucumber fresca! Bottom line? It's about 10 hours drive from Las Vegas to El Paso. And this Taco shop will give me a great reason to do a road trip anytime. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out!

The tables have some homemade sauces you can use in your tacos. I might be a little underwhelmed by the tacos here. They were just okay to me, nothing too special. I bumped it up to four stars for the super friendly service and the excellent aguas frescas. We got there late, about an hour before closing and they were literally trying to get rid of the aguas for free. I guess they have to dump it if they don't use it all. It was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Portion sizes are good. The taco platter comes with six tacos! I had the flautas Chinampa which came with four beef flautas, beans, rice, and salad. I forgot, the taco platter even came with a baked potato. Prices were excellent. We had gone to McDonald's in the morning and spent more. They also cave us frijoles charros for free. Not sure if this was standard or if they were also trying to get rid of it. I would return for the service and the convenience, but if you're looking for life changing Mexican cuisine, it's not here.
