Upon entering the restaurant, I was surprised at how small it was (they have outside seating but I was not about that life in 30 degree weather). You place your order at the counter and then grab a seat. They have tons of unique and delicious options and toppings. Forget the name but I had a burger with jalapeños, guac and jack cheese. This burger was an experience from the very beginning. I had the veggie burger, I know it sounds not very appealing, but it was delicious! So worth the wait! This place has one of the best burgers I have ever had. The flavor and quality of ingredients is top notch. They have a handful of local beer on tap that pairs perfectly and the fries with rosemary and herbs are the finishing touch! This place is really good. It's hard to say great, because...it's a burger. I've had maybe one burger in my life I'd call "great". But this one is right up there. I prefer a fattier beef for flavor but this one was cooked perfectly and the toppings made up for it. My only reason for knocking this place down from 5 is the seating. We were excited for the outdoor seating but it was too cold for my kiddos. The staff went out of their way to clear a place for us inside and they even set up a highchair for my 7 month old. But the indoor stools are TERRIBLE! They are bar stools with tractor seats on top. The terrible part is that they all tilted slightly down, so the entire meal I had to constantly sliding out of the seat. I had to either push myself back into my seat or brace myself in some way. This resulted in spending the entire meal pushing myself back into the seat or bracing myself in a half squat. The stools were so awkward, I could not get comfortable. The simple solution would be to have space heaters for the outdoor seating. So other than the inside seating, I would recommend this place. Good burgers, friendly staff. read more

Great hamburgers I had the big daddy Kane burger a ring on the bacon cheese burger my college had the wriggley burger, both good burger.it's a change from the typical burger they have many different burgers or you can build your own. It's a small place with community seating, though it does offer outdoor seating. I would recommend diablo, parking is not easy to come by during the lunch rush downtown flagstaff, this would be the only negative I could think of. read more

We saw this place in one of our travel guides, and it sounded good. What doesn't sound good about "the best French fries in Arizona" and burgers served on English muffins? The burgers are made from local beef and the topping choices are both plentiful and creative. I did blackening spice, sharp cheddar and pickles and my wife had the same, add bacon. Delicious! The server was super friendly, and when I ordered a beer that wasn't pouring right from the keg, he gave me my second choice half price - which he totally didn't have to do. My husband and i stopped here on our way from Kingman, Az where we live, on our way to Sedona, Az. Wow o wow...we will be coming back here for sure! In fact, i would drive the 2.5 hours to Flagstaff just for lunch, that is how good the burgers, fries and salad are. You must get the burger cooked to the doness that they recomend. They are so juicy and flavorful and the fries are perfectly crunchy with the herbs de provence seasoning...yumm! I got the side salad instead of fries which had beets and blue cheese and the greens were so crisp and fresh. You pay a little more for these burgers, but they are grassfed and healthier than your store bought grose hamburger and we would pay extra anyday for the quality of this burger! I could end my review right here with the 5 stars and the short words of praise, but I feel I should elaborate a little bit to cancel out some of the prior negative reviews. I am a burger fanatic. I love them. They are one of the only forms of red meat I treat myself to anymore, and this place definitely stacks up. I've had burgers from Florida it Vermont, from California to Washington state to Alaska, and several places in-between...long story short, this place ranks in my top 5. Yes, you have to stand in line to order. And yes, seating is first-come, first-serve. And yes, they only accept cash. If you take issue with any of those things, don't eat here. But I'm telling you, you'll be missing out on burger bliss. I went here with four other people on Saturday night; it wasn't just any Saturday night either, it was NAU's homecoming weekend. I was actually surprised at how easy it was get a table (inside even!) for our group. I've never had a burger served on an English muffin before, and let me tell you, I had my reservations about it. But when that big, gooey, delicious mountain of a burger arrived before me, I enjoyed the English muffin just as much as I would have your standard issue bun. I didn't feel like it took away from the burger in the slightest, and I liked how it contributed a bit of a sourdough flavor the whole thing. I had the Wrigley Field burger, which was topped with bacon, grilled onions, swiss cheese, and spicy honey mustard. It took me a long time to decide on this particular burger since the others that were offered seemed similarly delicious. I went with their suggestion to order the burger medium rare, and it was nice and juicy. My friend ordered her's medium and she said that it was a little dry, so stick with medium rare. And it's not really your typical medium rare...there wasn't blood dripping out of the thing. It was very pink in the middle though, the pinkest burger I've ever had. My boyfriend picked his own toppings, and if I could make one recommendation to you...get the hatch chile mayo. It was awesome. I'm going to get some on the side next time to dip my fries. And the fries...super crispy, nice and salty, sprinkled with herbes de provence. They were fantastic. Dipped in ketchup, hatch chile mayo, or all on their own, they were a nice treat. There are naysayers on here complaining about the price, and maybe it does seem expensive to some, but I found it to be well worth the price. For a large burger, and an obscene amount of fries, I don't think $12.25 is too outlandish a price for the ingredients that went into this burger...this isn't McDonald's for pete's sake. $2.50 for the root beer seemed a little steep, but it was so good. This place is soooooo good!!!!!! Locally grown meat and ingredients and I feel amazing after, not all groggy and tired. Small building but there's seating outside and you know something's great when the line is outside the building. Love this place! We try to eat here every visit to Flag. Yeah, I call it Flag, I'm that cool. They make a great burger, very unique, on what appears to be an english muffin? Great beef, good beer and an awesome patio with big tables. You can bring your dog to sit outside with you. Very helpful staff to find a table for you when your food is ready and always filling water bottles. Sometimes you share a table with other parties and if you are as lucky as me sometimes you find old friends you haven't seen in years. It happened, weird! read more

A bit hard to find off of the Main Street. We had to call to find the place because it's off of an alley way. The burgers were amazing the fries seasoned with herbs and spies. The base price of a burger is $15 plus every topping is extra so add another 2.50. Then add $3.50 for an iced tea without refills plus tax and tip and u r over $25 and u leave hungry. Save ur money. Absolutely delicious burger!! I got the Blutarsky Burger (bacon, cheddar and guac) and my dad got the DB House Burger (pesto and fried egg). Both were cooked perfectly and came with the delicious rosemary fries. Even an hour later, I had to listen to my dad go on and on about how it was one of the best burgers he ever ate. The burgers weren't huge but were the perfect size (we were happily full but not uncomfortably stuffed). The owner came over and chatted us up, talked to us about the cause (all the burgers come from local, grass-fed cows, all the cups and utensils are compostable). He was super friendly and gave us tips on places to stop along our trip. The place was small but had a great vibe (good music, good decor, and our waitress was friendly). We found this place thanks to Yelp. We were visiting Flagstaff for the day and decided to grab a burger here. It was a little challenging to find, but once we did it was easy to find a seat and order. We were excited by the fact the cows were locally raised and no added growth hormones or antibiotics were given to these cows. The burger and fries were fantastic and fresh! I can't recommend this place enough. I love a good hamburger that tastes like it was grilled outside on the grill and tastes fresh. Hearty, creatively-topped burgers with excellent fries and a good beer selection. And I love the"branded" english muffin bun. Outside patio a pleasure in gorgeous spring weather on my trip. I am surprised that any place can survive with cash only these days--it's a significant and legitimate inconvenience to your patrons, and I'd even bet that it cuts the amount of tips in that tip cow on the counter.
