Cash only! Lots of varieties but you need to go early. I've had many occasions that they have sold out on many things. One time they sold out on everything. The owners are very nice and the food is quality. I believe the prices are average and not too expensive. Bring cash! read more

I went to diamond's one time on my way to work. While looking at the merchandise I notice a "bee", a fucking bee flying around the case with the donuts. I ask the lady behind the counter if she notices the insect just chillin with food, I don't remember exactly what she said but o could tell she was not in any rush to get rid of it. We love going to Diamond and try to make it a weekly occasion. Our girls come in, go straight to their favorite donuts, and the owner typically gives them a donut hole to satisfy them while they wait. The Apple fritter and cronut are amazing, though pricey. Came here around 10am on a Sunday morning and was surprised to find that they still had such an amazing selection. Oftentimes I've found that after 9am on weekends you're sometimes stuck with whatever dregs are leftover from the morning rush. We were new to Vista and looking for a donut shop for our weekend cravings! I noticed this donut shop before, but also found it had good reviews on Yelp! My husband and I have gotten the maple and chocolate twists and bars, nothing fancy, but they were top notch. I judge my donuts by how greasy they are. These donuts are so light and fresh they don't even taste fried. We tried Yum Yum on S. Santa Fe by Civic center and their donuts were so greasy they tasted like someome fried them twice, more like yuck yuck! Diamond Donuts is my weekend donut fix. Came here with my husband at dawn to satisfy some serious donut cravings! It's your standard small donut shop tucked in a shopping center. Super close and convenient from my house. The service was great- the guy got all 6 donuts quickly and we were out the door in no time- definitely a good thing for everyone who needs to make it to work on time :P I got a strawberry french curler and a chocolate donut with sprinkles. Honestly one of the best donuts shops in San Diego County. Everything on their menu is enjoyable to eat and the prices are reasonable. This shop doesn't have the fame of VG in Encinitas or Krispy Kreme, but it doesn't really need it with such a loyal customer base.
