We commissioned Diamond to install a new roof system and due to inclement weather, the job was pushed back for months. The folks at Diamond were so gracious and we kept in contact until the big day arrived. The work was completed in record time and the cleanup was "top-notch." We are beyond pleased with the work and the 30 year warranty. Special thanks to all those who made this happen.

    Replacement of roof

Diamond Home Service was really great. We are very happy with the replacement of our new roof on our house. The price was reasonable and affordable. Also The staff and workers was very respectful and professional. They did the worked in a timely manner. They clean up very thoroughly. Whenever I called the office and needed Assistance. Rita Maher, was always attentive, to what I needed. And she made sure that it was taking care of immediately. Thank you again, Mr. Brad, Rita Maher and Diamond Home Service for a job well done. I recommend Diamond Home Service to do your Home Improvements. From: Luther & Sheila Larry

    Gap between gutters and roof

My mom has used Diamond for several other projects and decided to use them again for her porch roof and gutter replacement on Rhodes in Chicago. I cannot comment on the actual project process, but I will comment on the results. My mom is 80 years old and does not see well. She has trusted Diamond because they come out and do the work. She feels comfortable with their sales teams and project managers and their prior projects have been good. I hope that the following complaints will be fixed expediently and correctly. 1.The gutters were attached to the shingles with what appears to be zip ties Instead of gutter brackets. I have never seen this in my life. I imagine that any weight on the gutters will pull the shingles off and cause roof leaking. It makes no sense, is unsightly and looks like the work of an amateur. 2. There are areas of the gutters that are not even attached to the roof. An obvious gap between the roof and gutters exist. This defeats the function of gutters. Who would put up free floating gutters and gutters attached to rubber shingles. These will fail and be hanging further off the house with the next big rainstorm. 2. An end shingle was not cut to the contours of the roof and overlaps a gutter downspout. This will cause water intrusion underneath the shingles, into the house. 3.They did not caulk an area of the north roof that attaches to the rest of the house. This is also an obvious area of water intrusion. 4. The end of the gutter that terminates into the ground drain is not covered which can cause the drain to clog from surrounding debris. I don't understand how one can possibly redo a roof to be watertight when holes are placed in the shingles to attach the gutters. The gutters are not stable because they are not attached to the wood of the house. This is basic to the function of gutters. Gutters are not cosmetic, they are functional. So is roofing. If one cannot install a roof then install gutters for the roof to drain water away from the house then they should not be in the roofing business. This is not acceptable. I can't imagine that a project manager or any licensed roofer performed this work. I am requesting that they send a licensed roofer to remedy these issues.

The process was super smooth from start to finish. We met with Adam to discuss the project and he helped us collaborate a design that works perfect for our space. Their prices were extremely fair and the workmanship is top notch. He and his team are friendly and efficient. They finished the project in the specified time frame and left our rooftop looking like they were never there. I would definitely recommend them for any roofing or deck building needs.

Never again! In May 2025, I hired CRC to replace a detached garage roof. They were responsive and…read morecame out to quote the project, and I essentially went with a full replacement. My garage rooftop deck is finished with Trex decking so part of the agreement was to remove the decking and reinstall it - as is - post roof replacement. They came out on schedule and removed the Trex and replaced the floor boards where needed - per our agreement they were also suppose to replace the liner but they didn't. No big deal - they replaced half of it that was sitting over the damaged wooden floor boards. Once the roof was replaced, I pushed them to complete a water test - I basically brought a hose up there and ran water to see how it would drain. The drainage was ok not great as you could see small shallow pools of water. When asked, they said it how the roof pitch is setup - so fine we move on. Once the roof is done, they start to install the deck. About 80% of the way through, I happen to do a quick check and notice the deck is clicking. Apparently, they did not purchase enough Trex clips that secure the boards to the sub frame. So they agree to purchase more and install them. The right way to do this would be to remove the deck boards and start over but they removed a few boards and slid the clips in and drilled the screws down. Here is where it all went wrong. They screw heads started to chip and break the edges of the Trex decking. You think with the owner standing there he would have told them to stop but they kept going and ruined my Trex decking. Zero quality control or management from the owners who are there to push their crew to complete the job fast and move onto the next one. Not only did the ruin it, they installed the deck boards at an angle so the deck isn't even straight. They agreed to find a solution and come back to repair - and even took a small piece with them to match colors. Months go by and I keep hearing excuse after excuse. I sent multiple emails to the owner and exchanged texts (all of which I have in my records). All I received in return were promises to touch base and then once winter came, we decided to push the repairs to spring 2026. So May rolls around and I started corresponding with the owner (Adam) - who doesn't even care to respond but has his father (Richard) who is involved with the business return phone calls (have voicemails to back this up). He tells me that he will add me to his schdue on a Saturday / so Sat rolls around and I don't hear a word. I chase them and wait around all day. No show and no phone calls. I call them on the following Monday and ask them to fix this issue but no response. I sent them an email asking them to call to sort this out and no response. I would AVIOD them at all costs / they will damage your property and not resolve it. Seems like they will say anything to get the business. If you lucky enough where damage didn't occur then great. They also offer a warranty - given this experience, I don't expect them to honor it irrespective of I have it in a written document. Super disappointed. I was quite patient and understanding but they took advantage of my flexibility. Additionally, they will ask you to pay with Zelle / cash.

While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. The work quality was top notch. I was highly impressed by JJ Construction and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Matt, for a great job.
