Took care of my pool fine for years. Then while we were out of town for a month, the tech cleaned the filter to the pump. The pump lost its prime so it was dry and not sucking water anymore. Instead of addressing the issue, it was left to run dry. Obviously by the next week it was starting to turn green. We get a call from the secretary while we are on vacation telling us the pool is beginning to turn green and they are no longer going to service it. It wasn't till we got home and checked the cameras did we realize it was their fault. Be weary of this company because they will leave you hanging. read more

I have been using Diamond Pool and Spa Service for two years now. Their service is amazing! They arrive at the same day/time each week and my pool always looks great when finished. Each week they supply me with pictures of the work that has been done. They repaired a leak in one of my pipes a few weeks ago and just this last week, Diamond did a full descaling of the tile on my pool. This has not been done in 10 years and the pool now looks fantastic (see pictures). This place is amazing that it is still in business. Worked on our pool for one year and no issues. Last year they were continuing to provide service and the bottom fell out. They stopped coming, allowed black mold to develop, kept our filter on 24 hours a day resulting in a huge SDG$E bill, and to top it off, stole our remote for the pool. This company, whose owner name is Sam Olinger, is a joke. Sam, et al, are getting sued needless to say. Avoid this company like the plague!! read more

I used Diamond Pool Service for a few years.It is difficult where I live to find service in east county.They were not very good.When I first met Sam on the phone,I asked him to come out and look at my pool.He said he didn't come out but would send one of his employees.This was my first inclination that the service might not be great.I own a business and I am personally involved in it.I can't imagine telling someone that.I also found that their services were done by others not the guy that was servicing the pool.This is a real problem for continuity of care with your pool.I felt like it was my job to care for my pool because I had to tell them when it was time to change the filter every time it was changed.They also relied on me to let them know if something wasn't working properly.Forget the pool service guy doing any of this.When they did do a service it was five minutes at the most.Sometimes the service wasn't even done.I would wait for weeks to have the filter changed after the pool guy came for his quick service!Lastly,I asked Sam to teach us how to change our own filter.He said he couldn't do that for liability reasons.I have had many pool guys and most wouldn't mind doing that.To add injury to insult,I was charged 98 dollars for a service I never got.I now have a conscientious pool guy who does it all for me and cares if I am pleased or not.Quitting Diamond pool service is the best decision I have ever made!!I would think twice before I ever hire Sam or Diamond Pool Service. read more

Wow!!! Diamond Pool and Spa provides a great pool service. We built a new pool in our yard about 3 years ago and Sam has been with us since then. We used to have a different pool service at our previous house. We thought all pool services were basically the same. Not the case. Diamond does a much better job and we never have to ask Sam to do anything. He's on it before we are. He is a family man and extremely trustworthy.
