I was referred here by a neighbor who loves this place - but he's a guy and an attorney. I went there with my Volvo, explained I was taking a road trip to Mammoth and wanted a full service - everything from wipers to types. Dropped the car off in the morning and picked it up at 5. I was shocked that the price was 250.00 given that I knew I needed types. I said to the guy "so the types re fine?" he went out and looked and said no, I need new tires, measured then and said to bring it back on another day - frustrating because I had left it there all day for that purpose. Two days later driving to work the "stop engine" light came on due to no empty coolant. I called a work colleague to check out the car when I got to work - he popped the hood and said straight away "no one has worked on this" - he could tell because everything was dirty and there were no finger prints. There was a new filter and were was oil but all the other fluids were critically low. It made me so frustrated - I could have been stuck at the side of the road on the way to Mammoth. I took it there because I want to be safe in my car and I feel they sent me off with no regard for my safety at all. I called that afternoon and talked to two different guys who could clearly not give a care about my experience. They said "bring it back and we'll put it on the computer" No thank you! Have no trust in this shop any more. If you are a guy perhaps it's different - because a guy would probably know they are being screwed. I have sadly now acquired a painful education in fluids and maintenance that I never wanted - because you just can't trust anyone it seems. And the sad thing is I wanted a relationship with a mechanic that I could have a lasting relationship with and therefore spend money with. Sad. read more

I have been coming here to these guys for about 4 years and they have always been honest and reasonable! They go the extra mile to find whats wrong, Tell you what is necessary to do and what can wait, Ive recommended them to several people and the other day I had to have my tire plugged and Lewis did it for free. These guys are awesome! They saved me from having to spend several hundred dollars on things that other places had told me I desperately needed. They are fair and honest. They showed me everything that needed to be fixed instead of just telling me at the end of the service! I really recommend these guys. Luis and Chico are so incredibly friendly and informative. I went there for 3 used tires, for a very reasonable price of $30 per tire without any additional charges for labor. They were kind enough to wait for me past closing time, and showed me the damage to my tires. The service itself was incredibly fast; I was there for about 20 minute tops. He realized I didn't need a new tire, so he fixed my current tire, inflated it and put it on the car for me. First time here after reading the reviews. I was given two tires that were "the only ones" they had for my car. I had to ask to inspect them (checking the tread). They didn't test for any air leaks on the tires which I thought was standard (since I buy from another spot in the I.E.). The next day my car alerted me to low tire pressure. I put air in them. The alert went away. The next day, it is back. I figured it has something to do with my need for a tire alignment. So I hold off. Day 4 of having the tires, one of them is nearly flat. I recommend if you choose this spot for tires ask to have the tires tested or go somewhere else. read more

I've had tires replaced on multiple vehicles multiple times and never had a problem. Took the Benz today for the rears (to many burnouts!). Other shops near Culver City quoted $65-70 w/ uneven wear patterns! Came to GF's in Burbank and stopped by Diamonds. $40! And he remembered (after 11+ months) me, my vehicle's, and that I told him about my GF's shop (BEAUTY WORKS hair studio) where he could get a clean cut or treat his wifey to a flawless hair color! 10 MINUTES AND WAS OUT THE DOOR! Great service. I was in need of a cheap used tire, as my other tire was done for and I was on a doughnut spare. Funds were tight, and I came across this place and noticed all the great reviews. Needed 2 tires for the GF's SUV so did my usual Internet search in conjunction with Yelp reviews (which is why I eliminated 1 local tire shop with 3 1-star reviews saying things 'like do not go there' in all caps) and decided upon this place as they were $46 cheaper than my 2nd place choice, Western Tires down the street a few blocks. A longtime Burbank resident friend told me to go to Western Tires, but since I prefer to patronize independent shops instead of corporate chain outfits, and since he had 18 5-star Yelp reveiews and was $46 cheaper than Western I decided to come here. I should have listened to her. Luis was very friendy, another customer told me how great the place is, and I was in and out in 35 minutes so decided to come back in a few months for the other 2 tires. Until I washed the wheels the next day. That was when I saw an easily visible, long, semi-circular gouge on the left front wheel that was positively not there when I took the car in. I know that for a fact as I had washed the car and wheels the day prior, which is something I do once or twice a week, every week (I am anal when it comes to having clean wheels). I took the car back and showed the gouge to Luis and explained that I knew it was definitely not there when I took it in as I had washed the wheels the day before and he denied he had done it, showing me a tiny piece of rubber on the tire mounting machine as proof he could had not done it. I told him I wash the wheels every week and have for the 2 years we have owned the SUV and it 100% was not there when I took the car in and he again denied having done it. I have had auto repair facilities damage my cars before and when I have pointed it out to them they apologize and make arrangements to fix it. Not this guy. What he did in effect was to, without actually using the word, call me a liar. So it is going to cost me a lot more than the $46 I saved to fix the damage on the wheel, if it even is repairable. My recommendation to you if you feel you must take your vehicle in there for tires is to take photos of your wheels with a camera with a date/time stamp or otherwise document the condtion of the wheels with photos with the date, such as with a newspaper front page, prior to going. I am not going to worry about that because next time I am going to Western Tires. read more

this guy does not care about your safety!!! i was sold a "lightly used " tire that blew out on the highway 3 weeks later!!! i went back to his shop to have the tire replaced and when i complained about almost being killed on the highway because of his tire he pointed to a sign on the wall that read "we do not garantee used tires". Tha's great but 3 weeks? This guy will sell you unsafe equipment then cop out behind a sign on the wall. BUYER BEWARE!!! TIRES BOUGHT HERE CAN KILL YOU!!!! ok. let me start by acknowledging that this review is about to be so gushingly positive that it might look like a fake one done by the business itself. i hate that. i fu***ng hate that. sometimes things are just simply too good to be true. i feel like filling this awesome review with curse words just so you guys believe its authentic... maybe i should just leave my phone number and you guys can call me to determine if i am real or not. i suppose it won't help if i tell you, yes i have been drinking and that this is my first ever yelp review and i havent even gone to diamond tire in months. a drunk yelp. yes to a business man i have no personal relationship to. deal with it. anyway... luis is the best car guy i have found by millions of miles in my 13 years in LA. My first visit he literally saved me 1 thousand dollars (and i dont mean "literally" like annoying california girls, i mean literally as in fucki*g literally). he immediately showed me how the quote from the previous shop was a rip off and proceeded to fix my problem with a makeshift metal wire he came up with on the spot. normally this would have made me want to go back to the previous autoshop and break some windows but i was just so happy to have found an honest person in the auto business which is littered with garbage souls who prey upon those that don't understand their vehicles... so i just went home happy. thus began my 7 year love affair with diamond tire. my 99 white convertible sebring wouldn't understand if i took her any place different. through the years luis has saved me countless dollars, not just because his prices are so low, but because he is so fair as to level with you about which issues are essential to be fixed right away and which things you can let slide if you're in a financial jam, as most people who drive 99 sebrings usually are. during " her" (elle, my sebring) final days he was slated to fix the power steering for several hundred dollars but advised me against it because he knew further troubles were soon to come and didnt want me to waste money on a car that was going to need to be junked. that is some family shit right there. actually, i dont have much family that is that selfless and honest. what business man turns away business strictly out of being a pure human being. above and beyond. elle, the sebring eventually did die and i havent had any issues with my 06 white audi a4 convertible (though of course i had luis inspect it before i bought it). needless to say, all of my business will be going to luis and diamond tire for life. a few years back i moved fairly far from his shop but it doesnt matter. i would have any issue handled here whether i had to tow it 100 miles or not. life is way too short to have conversations with people who are trying to get the best of you. go here. read more

I bought some really cheap tires online, took them to Diamond where they mounted them for a very reasonable price (better than the other few local shops I called for a quote). I was introduced to this place by a AAA roadside assistance driver. They fixed my tire and the man that fixed my tire wasn't too thrilled to be working on a Saturday, his customer service was really poor, the owner of the place made him do it on right before closing. I then brought my car over to them a few weeks later to repair a broken mirror and a broken door handle I left my car there for a few hours for them to assess the damage the only thing that they did was order parts for what they could only see on the outside they didn't bother to open up the doors and the panels to see what the damages were. I also gave them a deposit for the parts. So when I brought my car back for them to do the repairs and I wasn't expecting it to be in worse shape then when I dropped it off, there was more damages to the inside of the mirror and the door handle still doesn't work and they also messed up my window so now when it rolls down the window pops like it's going to break. They were trying to charge me $300 for this Mickey Mouse work. I also heard the owner talk bad about me to his employee that he verbally abuses. I will not recommend this poorly run business. They just replaced my tires again today for 25 dollars each cash - I drove all the way from work in Santa Monica to Diamond (I live in NoHo) because I know I can trust these guys. If I could give this place 10 stars I absolutely would!!! I got a flat tire in my car, I drive a Jaguar so people automatically assume that I have a lot of money. So before venturing off to any place I did my research because I am used to people trying to take advantage of girls when it comes to cars. I decided to give Diamonds Tires & Wheels a shot, and it was the best decision I could have made. I drove the car with a flat tire, so I ruined the tire beyond repair, but Luis hooked me up with another used tire for the same price that he would have charged to fix my flat. The tire he put on costs way more than the one I had, and its a better brand. I still cant believe how generous Luis was. No doubt he strives to provide the best service.
