We called in an order for two fish tacos and super nachos, it was $27. My husband picked up two Jarritos drinks and a can of Pepsi, $7 bucks. The Tacos were unflavorful same with the nachos. The chips were a bit stale and the green and red spicy sauce was watered down. The only thing we found great was the order was ready when we arrived and it didn't take long for them to prepare it. My husband and I stopped in yesterday to check out the Mexican food. We were impressed! From the choice of either Coke or Pepsi in either a can or a bottle to some of the best jamaica I have ever had (it wasn't too sweet, yay!) we moved on to food. I had some of the best tacos I have ever had in my life, their home style ones with the freshly made tortillas- yum! - and believe me, I have had a lot of them over the decades, LOL! I had al pastor tacos and my husband had a carnitas chimichanga. Both had a lot of meat and were not skimpy in any way, shape or form. They were very flavorful and delicious. My husband's chimichanga was delivered with beautiful scrollwork of sour cream and cheese on the top, making the presentation alone quite lovely. The service by our waiter was impeccable and the menu loads up with a QR code. I felt safe in the restaurant as far as the pandemic goes and we will definitely be back. We can't wait! read more

It was a rainy day in Windsor. I was there visiting some friends and it was Easter morning. My friend and I were out looking for a coffee shop and we saw that this place was open. LUNCH, we thought! We went back a few hours later (before the church across the street let out, thank goodness!) I love hole in the wall restaurants! I dont need anything fancy for decor. Just give me nice people and amazing food and I am happy. Thats just what we got! I started out with some hot tea. Chopped up pepperment leaves. Perfect for the cold day. Since it was a rainy day, the Caldo de pollo (chicken soup) sounded fantastic. And it was. Great broth, totally homemade with just the right amout of spice. Tender, strips of chicken breast and large cut fresh zucchini, carrots, celery, and some rice on the bottom. The best part? Handmade, fresh tortillas. They were a slice of heaven. Its so hard to find a place that will take the time to make fresh tortillas. My friend got the al pastor torta and absolutely loved it. My husband and I are going up this weekend and Im going to introduce him to this spot. CANT WAIT! read more

This restaurant screwed up a take out order and my wife and I got the wrong food. It was a bad screw up and could have resulted in an allergic reaction. Called and dealt with an extremely unprofessional and rude "Jesus" he only offered a discount and was very condescending. He literally had the nerve to talk to me in the most disrespectful tone. Very unhelpful, mean. How this family can have this person running the restaurant is beyond me. I've been in management for years. This person should not be in management and has a horrible attitude. Without going into a massive explanation I'll simply say this place has lost our business and we will not return. I'm telling all friends and co workers not to do business with this establishment. What happened to your portions ? Ordered door dash. The portions were half the normal. No sour cream, no guacamole with the meals as usual. Charged a $1.00 for lime that should of been with the meal. Signs look like there struggling, so we pay for it with reduced portions. Well you lost a great customer. There are so many offer choices. read more

What looks like a hole in the wall is actually a treasure trove of Mexican food goodess. They have "O face" inducing carnitas, fantastic al pastor and the tacos and burritos in general are solid. The fact is I simply love anything pig related and they know how to do it right. Unfortunately I haven't tried anything else besides the tacos, burritos and nachos because those are so damn good it's hard to will myself into trying something different. I probably stop here at least once a week when I'm feeling to lazy to make carnitas or al pastor. Everyone in there is friendly and they have taco truck prices. My only knock on the place is that depending on what day of the week you go, your carnitas will either be soft or crispy (which is how I like them). They're tasty either way but that crispy texture is what carnitas is all about. And if you're not in the know, they moved from their old "market" style setup north on Old Redwood to a restaurant across from Angela's on Old Red. Check it out, you won't regret. read more

Wow - nice! Drove by this place just near the 101 exit in Windsor today and my adult daughter sez' "Dad - that place? Best chili relleno burritos anywhere!" OK. So I drop her off and decide I need to find out for myself - was not disappointed. Ambiance was clean and OK, nothing fancy. Got the burrito and also was not disappointed. What made it so good was the "less is more" recipe: tasty chili with the right amount of rice and sauce. Diana actually served the chips, salsa and bean appetizer, very sweet woman who served my utensils in an embroidered cloth napkin. (?!?) In a taqueria?? Really nice touch. Don't make it to Windsor very often, but I will remember this place, for sure. read more

WooHoo! Found a nice little place for my Mexican food fix! Small restaurant (16 seats inside and maybe 12 outside??) and definitely has that "hole in the wall" feel but it was a great find. Chips, salsa and refried beans started off the lunch and all were great tasting. Good salsa! Three of us shared 6 items so we could get a taste of many choices: Rajas tamale - superb! I'm not even sure what it is other than a "vegetarian" option and I'm craving another one as I type. The verde sauce was perfect. Chicken tamale - nicely seasoned, not dry, good sauce on top. Carnitas taco - hardly any fat was found and it was both moisty and crispy. Carne asada taco - yum! Cheese enchilada - the only item I didn't like because the sauce can make or break an enchilada. Lastly, the star of our meal, the chile relleno. It was fresh, sauced perfectly, whole but deseeded (for the less adventurous), cheese was melty, egg crust was not oily, etc. The housemade corn tortillas added to the good meal but I wish they were a bit more flavorful, or salted, or something. Very soft and tender though. All in all, our meal was $24 for everything so price was nice too. Yay! read more

This is my go to Mexican restaurant in Windsor. Nothing fancy, but solid Mexican fare made from scratch. The re fried beans are crazy good and you can tell they don't come out of a can. The one thing Diana's has going against it is the place across the street with a drive thru. Gringos (which I am) love that place and the full bar doesn't hurt either, but Diana's food has more soul, authenticity, and deliciousness behind it. They also make their own corn tortillas which is a big plus and the family that runs the place is also super nice. read more

It's hard to find good Mexican food .... when I say good I mean the good ole fashion traditional Mexican food. I think they must have went through a change of hand because they were the best in Windsor when they were on the corner of star and old redwood. They weren't as good for awhile but now they're back to being my favorite in Windsor. The bean cheese rice and sliced avocado is my favorite. The food is decent. Consistent at the C+ level. However, my wife loves a simple rice, bean and cheese burrito, each time we order it we have to search for the beans. Last time we actually counted the beans... 7 beans!! But that's not why I'm upset. The problem is they close at 8:00pm. That's ok, restaurant life is hard you need to rest. The problem is they stop taking phone orders at 7:30pm and tell you that they ran out of food ! Now if any business person consistently ran out of food a half hour before closing they would make more food . I know it's just a bad excuse so that they can get out of the restaurant sooner but remember you're in the hospitality business. You've finally lost me as a customer. I am giving Diana's 5 stars because the food is consistently good as well as the service. My favorite thing to order are the fish tacos, shrimp tacos and al pastor tacos. Their tortillas are homemade and they serve chips and salsa with every meal. Diana is a small quiet place to go and satisfy your appetite for authentic Mexican food. read more

Dont know whats going on at Dianas but they have some young people working there and they are lost. Maybe new cooks too because the quality and quantity of food has gone down as well. This used to be a favorite spot but after tonight we probablly wont be back. Food took forever, our side of tortillas took 20 minutes our sour cream that we asked for 3 times never came no water refill.....i was embarassed for them. Of the handful of taquerias in Windsor (or Sonoma County for that matter), Diana's is by far my favorite.
