FINALLY!!! A really great sub shop chain that serves quality rolls and meats while at the same time still offering a large amount of veggies and sauces at no extra charge. I ordered the god father sub medium size and thought they packed the sub with meats and veggies for the price. They may be just slightly higher than subway but definitely make up for it with quality and the amount of meat they put on there subs. They also offer a bunch of toppings just like subway and a large amount of condiments. They are less expensive then jimmy johns for the amount you get. They offer far more options of veggies and sauces then jersey mikes, and there quality is far superior to subway. For this I give them five stars as I believe they are by far the best sub shop in the area for the taste, value, and quality. read more

Yup, that's right, 5 starts for this CHAIN! Very shocking to me that the three subs and one salad were all fabulous. I wasn't expecting much, since three friends had given me their "ok" review. Wow, went here for the first time and I am sorry I waited so long. I ordered The Godfather sub,it's their version of an Italian. Well it was over a foot long,stacked with plenty of meat. Food was good. Subs are hugs. With fresh made rolls. When I called in the girl was extremely confusing. I request NO peppers but she then 3 times asked what kind of peppers I wanted~ including naming 7-8 kind of peppers off. If ever in the area again we'd go back. read more

Ok since I am from New Joisey and there is a sandwich, sub shop or pizzeria on every corner. I tend to be a bit of a sub snob so I am very picky on my subs lol. This was my first time here and went with an Uncle Louie. It was made to order with only the additional items that I wanted. Trust me this is no neat ham on rye finger sandwich. $14.95 for a larger fountain drink, a medium godfather, and a small italian assorted. Not a bad price. They let you pick the cheese, dressing, and toppings. The bread has a shinny look to it. They had about 3 people making the sandwiches and they had a grill for hot ones and you can watch the guy make it. They were pretty fast and the wait was all of 2mins. It was hard to hear the girls behind the counter asking you what you wanted because of the noise. There was a constant line from when we walked in at 11a.m. it kind of reminded me of subway however but a 50s style place. read more

Huge, delicious subs at a good price! This is one of the best sandwich places around. I always get the large size with the goal of having half and saving half, but 100% of the time end up eating both halves immediately. DiBella's subs are so fresh and full of meat - a wonderful sub to eat. I have had their version of an Italian mix, and the French Dip - both very very good. Their bread has a nice crust to it and a nice, soft inside. They do not skimp on the fixings inside, especially the meat. You get a good bang for your buck here. read more

Having visited DiBella's on many occasions since my earlier review and having sampled nearly all of the offerings, I can state beyond a shadow of a doubt that the MEATBALL SUB takes the blue ribbon. The meatballs are large, meaty, moist and flavorful (spiced just right), the sauce is perfection (a meal in itself), the mozzarella (rich and stringy) and the roll (with NYC texture and substance) - simply perfection. Wife and I stopped after work today for a couple of subs to go. Guy behind the counter who made our subs was friendly and courteous. Medium ham sub for me and a large ham and salami sub for the wife. She ate half for dinner and the other half is for lunch at work tomorrow. Sub rolls were super fresh and had only been out of the ovens for a short time. Wife had a coupon for $5 off of a $10 order which worked out great. Subs at DiBella's in Latham are always good and they don't scrimp on the meats. Took one star off because of bathroom. Always would choose this over subway. Great food and nice service. Just on thing is it seems like the Chicken-Philly sandwich (what I usually order) takes longer than any other item. But it's really only a ten or so minute wait so it's not outrageous. Love their food, one of my staples. read more

I love subs!! In fact, my last meal would be a turkey sub with everything from a place back home called LaRomas Pizza. Went to DeBellas for the first time today with my daughters and found my sub place!!! It was comfortable, busy but went fast. The workers were friendly and acted like they were glad we were there! I went out of my comfort zone and had a Buffalo chicken sub. It was great! The bread was fresh and it was full with buffalo chicken goodness!! My daughter had the turkey and it was just as good!! Went with wife recently because heard great things about DiBella's from friends. Quite a busy night but staffed with six sub makers behind counter so line moved quickly. Chose a "make your own" sub loaded with corn beef and roast beef with roasted red peppers and horseradish mayo. Surprised at the thickness of the sub and fresh flavor compared to the other chains. Wife had the Godfather which contained Genoa salami, capicola and spicy ham. She was equally pleased. Will go back again soon. read more

Massive subs! Order was very efficient, low lines made for a quick submarine. Fresh tomatoes,fresh lettuce. Just the right amount of sauce. You could tell that they knew what they were doing and have done it for a long time. Highly would recommend for their large size. Under $15 gets you one of the most filling subs. read more

It's a sub place... like subway. I didn't like my sub, ( basic Italian sub) the whole thing kept coming out on the other side. Very messy. They did have this sweet mustard mixture with the lettuce that was pretty yummy but couldn't completely enjoy it because the whole thing was just too messy. I would not go back. Stopped in a to try a turkey sub. I first noticed how open and loud it was in there. My turkey sub was just ok. I don't get what all the hype is about. First visit to this chain. Just wanted a simple turkey sub. Nothing fancy. Service was quick. I was the only on in line. Staff was friendly. Place looked clean. I had my sub to go so I didn't stay to check out the dining in experience. Was not really impressed with the taste of the sub. They use a turkey roll type of meat rather than the fresh breast turkey. I find the turkey roll to be kinda slimey. The roll was kinda hard. Overall, probably wouldn't go back. Just not my kinda place. read more

The place is a joke the service is slow. I did a phone order was told 20 minutes got there and waited another 5+ minutes. The subs were wrong and the steak wasn't even cooked all the way still raw. I called to complain and was told the manager was outside smoking and if I wanted to be put on hold and wait he should be right in to take my call. What a joke I don't put me on hold. Such great subs! Had the assorted Italian and the Capitol. They were both great! We asked for the Capitol grilled and it came with the meat and cheese grilled and cold bread. Didn't expect that but it was good anyway. The small was close to an 8" sub but the roll was wide so it's a large portion. read more

Dibella's is my favorite place for subs or any meal. I have chosen it for mother's day and my birthday even though I typically choose more formal restaurants for special days. Unfortunately my my last visit has caused me to reconsider ever going to Dibella's again. When I placed my order the server placed lettuce on with out giving me time or asking about mayo or mustard. I interrupted him. He stopped, THREW the lettuce back into the pan, angrily applied mayo then threw the lettuce back on with out the mustard. I repeated the request for mustard which he then applied over the lettuce At this point I wanted to request that someone else make my sub but I didn't want to make a scene because I was with my teenage son. He then proceeded to tell me to inform him of what veggies I DIDN'T want on my sub. I told him. I couldn't do that because I didn't know what all of the veggie options were. He proceeded to argue with me stressing that it was easier for him if I told him what I didn't want! I simply told him what I wanted and he listened. He then asked how I wanted my sub cut, wrapped it, slammed it on the counter and walked away through the doors to the back. I was basically in in shock with such unwarranted rude treatment but did not want to make a big deal because I wanted to enjoy the time out with my kid. However, I am so upset about what happened that I never want to set foot in there again. I prefer to just stay close to home and go to Jersey Mike's even though they are not nearly as good. I'm bummed because this really was my favorite place but I really can't bring myself to support this place again after such unbelievably poor treatment, especially since it happened in front of my kid.
