We've been in the place twice and each time it doesn't appear clean, and the service is lacking. Considering places like The Habit and Chipotle are right next door you'd think they would try harder to impress. It seems low-end compared to these other upscale eateries coming on the scene, yet their prices are higher. I wanted to try some of their free soft serve ice cream but asked for a small dish instead of a cone because the cones are awful. The employee had the audacity to ask me if I had a medical condition that made it so I couldn't eat the cone! They didn't want to give me one of the cups their sides come in because they were afraid I would pig out on the ice cream, which was never going to happen after tasting the stuff. If you're older than five and know what good ice cream tastes like, don't bother with this white sugary sludge. AND, if you don't want a cone, go and get the little cups where the barbecue sauce is and fill one of those. If they hired better staff, like the other places I've mentioned, they would have suggested that in the first place instead of fighting with me and worrying I'd load up on crappy ice cream. It speaks to the crowd that goes in there, and who works in there. This place has one good thing going for it and it's their potato salad. It's quite creamy and very good. But, I've had such poor service each time I've gone there I doubt I'll even bother going in to get a cup of it to go. read more

Hadn't been to this location in over 2 years, so I thought I would give them a second chance after a less than stellar first experience. BUT, unfortunately, it was just more of the same: Had the meat trio with turkey breast, brisket and pulled pork. The pork was fresh and yummy, while the brisket was dried out an came with a massive chunk of hard, dried out bark. The turkey was just plain nasty, and tasted like it was simply carved off a roll and not off a real breast, as I thought it would be.....Grrrr. For sides I had coleslaw and green beans. The slaw was fine, but could have used more mayo on it, but the green beans were grossly over cooked and almost mush..... At $13 this meal was a jumbo rip-off. It might have been O.K. at $7.95, but with tiny portions and so-so quality, I will stay away for another 2 years and give my business to Lucile's, Applebee's or even TGI Friday's, which is now offering a full rack of baby back ribs for only $10. Now THAT'S a DEAL..... The food was very good the service was great and FREE ICE CREAM. between the two of us we had the brisket, ham, chicken and cheddar sausage. as well as waffle fries mac and Cheese and cole slaw. I'm eating dinner at this location right now. The food is good, but the cleanliness and personal hygiene is HORRENDOUS. The cashier, right in front of me, took her gum out of her mouth with her hands to throw away, then continued to ring me up without washing her hands. I asked for a water cup, and she grabbed it with her dirty hands and actually put her dirty fingers inside my cup. I was really grossed out, so my husband just asked for another one, and quickly grabbed it from her. She is also adorned with long fake nails, which I don't think promotes a clean environment. Well decided to try Duckey's my first time here. I was disappointed we order a rrack of ribs they took them out of an oven and it was plastic rapped, we also order pulled pork, ham and brisket. The pulled pork and brisket were not hot almost at room temperature, the ribs were ok. You want good ribs go to Phill's bbq in San Marcos the have awsum ribs. Waffle iron fried and the fried onion tanglers were good. I love bbq but was not impress with my first visit. I might give it a second chance down the road. I love the food here, its amazing...The staff on the other hand is not. The girl ringing us up had a very rude look on her face the entire time. I greeted her when i got up to the register and she just stared at me. The coupons i had were supposed to come with a big yellow cup and she told me they were out.... she handed me my food and nothing else. I asked so am I gonna get a drink then? lol thats what i paid for. she just handed me two little cups. We have ordered food here many times but we recently ate in the restaurant for the first time. We like the chicken and the brisket because they have that smokey taste. The kids got chicken nuggets. I think the kids meals prices are great because They get their food with a side and a drink. The grown up meals are a tad overpriced because they don't come with a drink. This place is a fast food place so their plates shouldn't cost that much. Maybe because they offer "free ice cream". A lot of my staff and I go there for lunch it's a little bit pricier but worth it. The portions are pretty big so usually I just order a kids meal that comes with a side I love the fried okra, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese. Sometimes are strict about adults buying kids meals, so if you get it you have to order it to-go. They have self serve soft serve vanilla ice cream cones on the side. Rude . Pushy . Customer service sucks . The people who work here must really hate their job. When you first order you place your order with the "meat girl" . You have to know what meat you want before you get to the "meat girl" because if you don't , your wasting valuable meat cutting time . I brought my family here in between soccer games for lunch . It was our first time , didn't know how "dickies" worked . Asked the meat girl , she didn't seem too happy to have to take the time to explain how it worked . We placed the order told them that we didn't want onions on our salad , we saw them add the onion : we asked is this our salad , she said yes: we said there isn't onion on this is there and she said "NO" we said we saw you add onions and She said you said you didn't want the string onions, not no onions.. In my opinion An onion is an onion doesn't matter what kind , we said didn't want onions . She took it back to whomever about the salad and was having a fit that we asked for one with no onions .. It wasn't worth waiting for the employee to argue With the other employee about a salad . In a good restaurant they would have fixed the problem and not have a bad attitude about it, doesn't make someone want to eat there . We then cancelled our whole order and leave the bad vibe of employees with the employees . There are other choices right next to dickies to choose from. Don't waste your time on miserable people. I'd like to start off by saying the quality of the food was great. However the customer service or rather lack thereof from one employee really spoiled our visit. The cashier who also packages the side items seemed very annoyed to be there. With each additional item I requested she huffed and puffed and aggressively packaged items. She did not make any eye contact and repeatedly walked away without saying anything. Upon check-out and reading my order back to me I corrected the order. (As a meal was missing.) I was charged for that meal. I was given my cups, but my bag remained behind the counter. She then proceeded to fill her own cup. Commented "ugh! We're out of ice." Filled her own cup behind the counter with Ice- but not once did she offer myself or other customers ice. After helping herself, I was given my bag of food. Another customer asked for sweet tea, which they were out of and she commented to another employee- "they could just get unsweetened tea and add sugar." Small negative comments and whining about wanting to see her friends made the trip very unpleasant. To top it off, upon arriving at home- the extra meal I paid for was missing. Simple staffing changes can really improve the experience. Care and concern for others goes a long way. I understand everyone has a bad day- but you are the face of the company while on the clock and should take your job seriously. Customers will return when treated properly. We've been here multiple times and have been consistently pleased. Very good quality and very good portions for the money. The service is friendly and the environment is very comfortable. Outstanding ice tea (a rarity in SoCal....), and the kids love the free ice cream cones. Parking during peak times can be inconvenient. One interesting side note is the topic of core competencies. For BBQ food, and service thereof, Dickey's is great. When they enter the apparel game (namely hocking Dickey's t-shirts) they fall apart. Rarely is a full compliment of sizes on hand and the special order process is inefficient and borderline incompetent. Tip: If you desire waffle fries as a side tell them at the beginning. Yummy, convenient and close to home. I love the service at this location; the owner is very friendly and isn't afraid of doing a job himself. We met him on our first visit and he was cleaning tables as people left and just had such a great attitude. The food is very tasty. I grew up in a small town with authentic BBQ but it doesn't take a native to recognize good food. The chicken was disgusting (unless you like fake (fresh frozen) chicken. The sides were not good. The BBQ sauce was watery. The only thing that was decent was the brisket. And I order a lot of food and sampled other peoples. My entire group felt the same. We'd never go back. Big deal, you can get a free ice cream cone after you eat. Maybe that's why there were so many families there. Hands down the best food in Eastvale!! The line was long as expected its their grand opening weekend. I must say that it was worth every second of the wait. We ordered a variety of stuff and everything was amazing. If say the brisket was the best of the meats, we also tried the ribs and chick both of which were very well seasoned and tasty. They have such a variety of meats and sides definitely something for everyone, even my kids loved it. As for the sides we got jalapeño beans, mac n cheese, mashed potato casserole, fries and onion tangles, all of which were yummy. The staff was super helpful in taking the order, offering advise on what amounts to order and even helping me out to the car. The BBQ here is terrible! We had the pork ribs. It was hard and dry. The girl brought out in a little pouch and dumped on our little tray. They expect all the taste to come from the BBQ sauce that you just pour on. This is not BBQ! What happened to grilling/smoking with fire and let the meat bathe in the sauce and caramelized in the heat. The fries were dry too. This place sucks, I ordered a half rack of ribs and chicken and the ribs were burnt the chicken they actually weigh it to give it to you as a portion. The mashed potatoes werent ready had to wait 10min for them and the ice cream machine was out of order. I paid $30 for this meal and I left hungry because of the small portions they give you. The menus are a mess too. This is an over priced restaurant for the quality of food they sell its only a matter of time for this chain to go out of business I for sure wont be coming back here. read more

As someone who was born and raised in the south I can say this is delicious barbecue! I had the pulled pork plate with the waffle iron fries and the fried onion tanglers (which were amazing). I love pulled pork and it is one of those meals that I miss the most from the south and the pulled pork at this Dickey's was wonderful and made me feel like I was back home.
