Very disappointed! Phoned-in / catering orders are far more important than customers in line. We stopped in for lunch on Sunday, there was no line. We were excited since we have waited for over 20 minutes on other days. The server greeted us and said he would be with us in a minute. He was working on a catering order. We watched as he sliced and weighed the brisket and then sliced and arranged and rearranged the ribs. After 5 minutes, he had four ribs in the container and hadn't said a thing to us. With 15 people now in line he remained focused on the ribs and didn't say a word as the 5 of us walked out and got served at the restaurant next door. We won't be back. When you have choice, good restaurants need to understand the importance of customers that walk through the door. read more

On point, definitely hit the spot ! Not much of a beef / bbq type, but had been craving some brisket. And also had the chicken wth bbq beans, potato casserole along with a biscuit. The meat is soft and breaks just nice and easy not all chewy. Their biscuits are soft and butter but not drowned in the butter just right amount of butter. I live in Riverside and so glad you are close by, seems like everyone was out for this big day and I know I am a follower, line went quick and being able to try the okra free while waiting in line was a nice touch..the people serving were kind and smiling and welcoming. First time trying....Ordered the two meat plate...ribs and brisket and I was left a little flat. Not because it didn't taste good but literally half my brisket order was all fat! Also ordered jalapeno beans...with no jalapenos! I orderd the green beans and bacon....no bacon! It was a small meal for the price...maybe it would have been enough if my brisket order had been more on the meaty side! Stopped by Dicky's today and was looking forward to the Ribs, the guy who helped us was very courteous, however after we sat down to eat we had to leave in less than 10 minutes! I kid you not there were fly's and I mean many of them that kept pestering us so bad we had to ask for a container to take our food and leave. I probably wont go back, if there's fly's that can actually force you out of a restaurant than it made me wonder how many of these fly's are landing on the food being prepared or in the holding pans when the food preparer is away from the food. Came here on a Thursday night around 6 and the line was short but I still waited 15 mins before I was able to order. Once I started to order, I was told they were out of chicken but turkey would be out soon. The couple before me was able to get their turkey order fulfilled and the guy told me I could wait for the next batch. I paid for the food with the cashier Aubrey and waited off to the side. She was very nice and was constantly checking on my order and apologizing for the wait. She even offered me a drink while I waited but I kindly did not accept. I'm not the kind if person to make a scene and get angry or impatient so I was very patient and waited. After about 20-25 minutes of waiting they told me the turkey would not be out for some time. To compensate, Tony offered me a full rack of ribs instead! How could I say no?! Great service from the employees here. I would definitely come back to try the turkey and other meats that they offer. My family loved the food and enjoyed the dinner. The only flaw I see in this eatery is that they only have 1 guy taking orders and fulfilling the main meat portions. It's like going to subway and there's only 1 person making sandwiches. I think they should add more people to help cut the meat and etc. so the line can move faster! read more

They have good bbq. Its not the best I have ever had but for California, it has to do. They weigh all the meats they give you to give you an exact weight amount. Never like a real texas bbq where they pile on the meat for ya to enjoy. Kids eat free sundays is nice. they have regular iced tea and southern sweet tea. and if you want a vanilla ice cream cone, they have that available for you as well. read more

Excellent choice for pulled pork. Haven't had the chance to try the other BBQ favorites, but I have a feeling it will be great. The Mac-n-cheese is cheesy and the green beans are delish. We've been here a few times now and it has not disappointed! Took our son who's never been to Dickie's and he loved it. This visit we shared a 1/2 rack of ribs, had 2 pulled pork sandwiches, beef brisket & chicken breast. Our sides were the mashed potato casserole, Cesar salad, baked beans, coleslaw & waffle fries. Everything was delicious. Ribs fall off the bone delicious, brisket delicious, sandwiches moist & tasty. At the end you serve yourself a small soft serve ice cream cone. It's tough to find barbecue in southern Cali so I really wasn't expecting too much from Dickey's. I sure underestimated how good it would be. Fantastic brisket sandwich. Soft yummy bread. Went on a recommendation from a family member that it's like Texas. Just came to the realization that he hasn't been back to Texas for a while. That being said, the food was decent. Sausage was a high point, good flavor. Wish that the pulled pork was not served at room temperature but luckily the bbq sauce is hot so it warmed it back up. Potato salad was interesting, heavy on the dill but had a good flavor when combined with the baked beans. The roll is good, was expecting to get sliced bread like in Texas. Employees were great except for the girl that strategically did not have her name tag on, so I had to ask it's Lauren. Rolled her eyes when asked for a side pickles then was taking mess to a coworker about us after she dropped off the waffle fries for my son. Today I took my daughters to lunch, at Dickey's eastvale, which was my first visit. I looked at the menu and ordered, picnic special. I then asked, which meat was better the (pork,beef) he said, try the both. He was right it was excellent, the pork, and beef had a wonderful flavor, which our taste buds, enjoyed. lets not forget the side order. It was not just the food that was excellent, we were greeted by Bill Seward, at the register, with a polite conversion about his business and how he likes to help the community of Eastvale. So, after the conversion was over, he said, "we also have soft ice cream at the soda bar" my daughter was excited to have a cone after lunch. I tried this restaurant for the first time last night, 3/11/14 . The employees knew the menu very well and were very pleasant and patient. The food was very good, better than I thought it would be. I have to say, besides the consistently flavorful food you just can't beat dickies for the price point. Most places now a days give you 25% less food for the same price. Personally I think it tastes just as good as Lucille's. Very clean place. Staff was smiling in spite of the lunch rush coming through. I like how they make there meat the center piece. They don't try and fill you up with a giant piece of bread or an oversized side of beans. It's all amount the MEAT! If I had to say anything bad, and I am reaching.... First time picking up a meal (12/22) I had ordered online to go. I arrived and my meal was ready and I told the young lady she had forgotten half of it . They didn't pack the pound of brisket . She looked puzzled and went to ask the other young last carving the meat . She said oh ok we didn't see that . ;( So it would have sucked to get home with half my order missing. I watched the girl carve the brisket and put it the box . I told her it was suppose to be chopped. She looked at receipt again like if I was lying lol . She was like oh ok ! Honestly it wasn't even busy at all so they really need to pay more attention . Especially on the "to go" orders . I was craving. I've always like Dickey's. It's not cheap. I think the sides are overpriced. Everything I touched was sticky to me. The table, the condiments & soda area. They carry no wipies that other bbq places do. The food was good but I was very annoyed with the flies inside the restaurant. It was also very warm inside. I was constantly covering my food with napkins & swooshing the flies away from me. I was uncomfortable when trying to enjoy my meal. I was pleasantly surprised that the restroom was as clean & stocked. I don't know if I will be returning back to this restaurant. read more

Good location decent food. Make sure you arent in a rush..... staff is still learning as they just opened. Portions are small but had good flavor (though I found the brisket to be bland). The ribs were good, Mac n cheeses was basic, onion rings were really good! My bf got the brisket and that was really good too. Happy to have Dickeys so close to home! Food is always good here and the restaurant is very clean. The sliced brisket is amazing and melts in your mouth. I've tried the marinated chicken also which was really flavorful, especially when paired with the warm spicy BBQ sauce. I'm usually not a sausage fan but tried some off my husbands plate and almost ate the whole thing!! It was not greasy and heavy like most sausages I've tried. To top it all off, you get free soft serve ice cream with every order. What could be better? I recommend Dickey's for some really good BBQ food that doesn't feel like fast food at all. read more

Finally some decent BBQ in Eastvale! Meats are tender and smoked well. Juicy and portions are reasonable even though they weigh everything to the T. Yuuuuum!! 4.5 stars. New favorite spot. I had a loaded brisket potato (gigantic) and hubby had pulled pork sandwich. We tried potato salad and mac&cheese. Very delish and satisfying (couldn't finish so we took them home and also got another thing of mac and cheese to take home and finished them off at about 9pm, yum! Still good heated up 2nd time). Guys behind the counter were super cool, took the time to explain everything on the menu for us. Ok, just so you know, my brisket was a bit dry (hence I felt like it was not really full 5 stars).
