Great Q s where you find it. Dickies is closer to Texas style BBQ meaning the flavor of the smoked meat isn't covered by sauce. They have sauce on the side and you can have as much as you like but frankly isn't really needed. The beef brisket is tender, moist and delicious. The meat on the ribs falls off the bone. Nice smokey bark, fast service and reasonable prices. i would eat as Dickies daily but fear I would soon be big as a hog. read more

Delicious. It's a chain, but prices are decent and quality is really good. I ordered the 2 meat plate and picked the ribs and brisket. The brisket was surprisingly pretty moist and the ribs fell off the bone. I liked that you can pour your own sauce into little sauce cups. I went to Dickey's BBQ for my first time on the 4th of July, craving some good 'ol American BBQ, and it was awesome! I got the two meat plate; pulled pork and the brisket, sides; potato casserole (yum!) and coleslaw, and a drink. The pulled pork was amazing and the brisket was really good. They have plenty to choose from for the sides, which are all great options and great portions. The meal also came with a yummy warm bun. I chose to get the spicy bbq sauce which was amazing. Do they bottle this up and sell it? I would buy some if they did! They have crushed ice, which I love in my soda, and have slices of lemons to have. Then to top it off, they offer FREE ice cream cones (all you can eat)! The ice cream is soooo good. It's actual real ice cream, not the fake ice cream at other places, like McDonalds. If I had any suggestions, it would be to offer corn on the cob and corn bread in addition to the sides they offer. All-in-all, this place was fantastic! We decided to try them with the curbside. Their website for ordering is a bit awkward so we called and the order was quick and easy. We had the pulled pork, brisket, ribs and potato salad. It was all amazing, tender and juicy, cut the brisket easily with a fork. The original sauce was also great and the gave plenty of it. We had given them a description of our car, so we just pulled up at the time we gave and the employee ran it out to us. We'll definitely go back again and try some other meats and sides. The point of doing a pick up order is to have the convenience of walking in, grabbing your food and going... This location has it backwards, they wait for you to come in before making it (even when waiting the 30-45 minute period I was instructed to do). We ordered some food "to go". My wife went to go pick it up. When I opened my meal, which was the BBQ pork, I noticed it was half the usual portion. When I started eating it, I discovered it was at least 50% fat. I guess they were running out of a batch of pork and just gave me the grissle and fat that were left over. I wouldn't have left a one-star review if this was the first time I had a quality issue with Dickey's. Unfortunately, there have been many issues, including some side items that were clearly not stored properly and we're rancid. I've been to this restaurant twice. I got the pulled pork sandwich the first time and the beef brisket sandwich the second time. Both were slightly above average in quality compared to other local BBQ pits. Portions are quite small and prices are quite high. They are pretty friendly and are happy to give you a sample before you order while waiting in line.....the line can be pretty long as well as I remember myself waiting at least ten or fifteen minutes both times I was in. It's a nice restaurant but not really something I'd go out of my way for especially if there is a long line. read more

We thought we were picking up from another place and went to get our order only to find out the place was closed due to fire. Unfortunate for their business but they never let us know and we had preordered for 80 people over a month ago. Do not go here!!!!! They never have anything!!! You wait forever and are told things are out after you wait forever and are about to pay. My recommendation is to go in and take a free ice cream cone and walk out. thats if they are not out of ice cream!!! This is by far the worst establishment is issaquah. Really good... very tasty. Asked for a lean brisket sandwich and there was NO fatty pieces. Just the way I like it! Missing a star because they need to get peach cobbler as a dessert. Fantastic food, the layout of the restaurant makes for a bottleneck at the lone cash register. On a busy day, you will wait quite a while. Do yourself a favor and order online, no matter what the timeline, you can order at 8am and tell them when you want it ready, since adopting this practice, everything has been great! OMG!!!! That is some guuuud BBQ!!!! My wife and I tried the pull pork, kielbasa sausage, chicken breast, and beef brisket. WOW!!! All the meats were juicy and full of flavor. To begin with, I'm a native Texan and if you don't like Dickey's on Gilman then you just don't know BBQ. Everything on the menu I have tried so far is EXCELLENT!! The brisket is smoky and tender, the spicy cheddar sausage is delicious and the chicken is moist and smoky. With excellent BBQ sauce on the side as it should be you can taste the delicate smoke flavors in the meat. Its not salty at all as some other reviews mentioned... I have already eaten there 3 times in the past 2 weeks and its been fabulous each time. Also Dickey's brisket makes an excellent low carb option. To do it right don't forget Fried Okra as a side. Also Dickey's is WAY BETTER than that Kansas crap at Stan's. Stan's has terrible chicken wings with gooey rubber skin (not cooked hot enough to render the fat) and it appears Stan's par boils their ribs ending up way overcooked and tasteless. Well we got our courage up to try the new Dickie's BBQ last weekend. We are from the Dallas and East TX area and Dickie's is also from that area. I had a lengthy conversation about the store that we previously where mostly disappointed with and how many potential customers were a little skittish about trying it again, she certainly understood. I have to say they have it going on. They are a married couple with kids in college and he is retired Navy. They are giving it 110% and when you find a family owned restaurant that's as great as they are both in attitude and in product you need to let others know. My husband got a 3 meat plate as I did as well so that we could split the meat up and try it all. When you find meat that tastes even better without BBQ sauce (not that the 3 different ones they have) you know it's good BBQ. We have date night again next week and we know where we are going. Give it another chance otherwise you have no idea what you're missing! (and no, I am of no relation or friend of the owners, I just met them the other night). read more
