I honestly do not get the bad reviews (although the bad ones don't really seem to be about the food). All of the food was delicious (best brisket I have ever had - super juicy - not dry at all, pork burnt ends were great, pulled pork was awesome as were the fries, coleslaw and Mac and cheese). I would have loved for the meat to be a tiny bit hotter, but it even with that, I would absolutely go back. Atmosphere was fun and country, service was great. Loved it. read more

Unfortunately, Dickey dramatically underserved today. We ordered a rack of ribs and a 1/2 lb of chop brisket (both okay) then ordered a large okra and large fried pickles and a regular creamed spinach. We get home (7min) to find the okra undercooked and dissolved through the paper sack and into the carry bag. No Fried pickles. But a medium container of - sliced pickles... I called the store, confused as to what I was charged and simply to see if this was a "normal" expectation. "Well, we are out of fried pickles so you have to say fried pickles so we can tell you we are out, otherwise we give you regular pickles". Unfortunately, I did speak clearly. Then I was asked if that was my only complaint, even though I had first explained my okra situation. Okra - charged me $21 Medium pickles- $5.95 Total bill $72. We had a very good experience here. I see reviews mixed. But today dropped in for a take out to bring home. My first time in Dickey's. Very nice, helpful and professional young man explained the menu and helped me put an order together for a group. Every thing we got was of great quality, very meaty, moist, and tasty. We got ribs, brisket, pulled pork, baked beans and cornbread muffins. Will definitely stop in again. read more

This place is fantastic in every way. My girlfriend and I usually share a 2 or 3 meat plate, and that is perfect for us. I don't eat pork/beef so the chicken is my favorite, and it is Soooo Goood. My gal loves the ribs, says they are awesome. Best side combo of course is baked beans and potato salad. I want to try the fried pickles next time I go in. The young man behind the counter would not give me my food that I ordered through Doordash Pickup. He kept telling me I needed a bag to take the food. I told him I'd picked up there before and they put my food in a bag. He kept being rude and saying it was against company policy. I was confused as to why I had to bring my own bag to pick up my personal food. This went on for a few minutes until I just left. Then I Realized he thought I was a DoorDash Driver. I'm the one who figured that out not him. I went back inside and told him I was picking up my personal food. He barely apologized and then finally gave me my food. It was honestly quite humiliating. Very disappointed. We have ordered from several Dickey's on road trips. This time we were road weary and wanted to use the delivery option. We ordered one meat platter with 2 sides and bbq sauce and one sandwich with two sides and bbq sauce. The delivery was efficient but, when it arrived there were no sides for the platter and no bbq sauce at all. We ate a very dry meal. We gave a tip and tipped the delivery service but, we are not happy with the experience. read more

It's too bad I can't give 0 stars. Dining: The food is mediocre and the portion sizes are laughable. The dining room is relatively clean, however, you can tell they don't hold themselves to high standards. Doordashers: DO NOT GO HERE. The orders pay well but if you have multiple orders in your bag, they will not release it because of "store policy". When I proceeded to explain my bag was full of other orders and it was going right in the bag, they said "I can come out to your car with you but I have to watch you put it in your bag". While I understand policies, I don't think patronizing and giving an egotistical attitude is any way to treat customers/drivers. It is not your business how I conduct mine. read more

The food is fairly good, but I've ordered for pickup or delivery four times in the last 3 months and am always missing something I paid for. They do call me and offer substitutions when an item runs out and apologize and refund the difference after I let them know I didn't get what I ordered, which I appreciate, but it's getting hard to trust that I'll get my food. read more

Went to Dickey's after they first opened. Thought they would be popular, but didn't think they would be that popular. There was literally a line stretched out the door and hard to find parking between all the big trucks. My dad ended up waiting in a line 30 minutes for food. Guess they hadn't worked out all the bugs in the system yet (my dad sent me ahead to grab a table as there really weren't any left). It was literally freezing inside and everyone was wearing coats inside, with the opening doors and not-properly ventilated windows. Despite all that, the food was good though. I got the one meat platter with beef brisket, potato salad, and baked beans with plenty of bread. My dad the turkey breast, brisket, and also potato salad (his favorite) and baked beans. No dessert was ordered, unfortunately as the line was still to long to go back. But, I wish I would've gotten to try the mac & cheese read more

This is the second time I have been to Dickey's in Laramie and I loved it! The first time was last year on Veteran's Day and I got a free sandwich which was pretty good but today...I got the 2 meat plate to go-brisket and polish sausage. I worried about the brisket because I'd read some other reviews but I got probably the most tender, succulent brisket I've had in a VERY long time. The sausage was a bit too spicy for me but still tasted good. The loaded mashed potatoes were delicious and the mac and cheese....oh yeah...good stuff for sure. So disappointed. I know Dickey's franchise restaurants in Denver and I was really excited to see them open up here in Laramie. I ordered 1/2 pound pulled pork and 1/2 pound beef brisket. It was 12:30, Sunday after a Wyoming Cowboys football Saturday home game, and the town was full of out-of-town fans getting ready to drive back home later this afternoon. The place was really busy. Both meats were a little warmer than room temperature. Both meats were DRY, especially the brisket that had a lot of HARD leather jerks like pieces in it. Not at all like I was expecting from a typical Dickey's restaurant. I believe this meat was cooked well in advance expecting a lot of business today, and was kept hot as long as possible until it started drying out. Or they ran out of fresh meat and had to drag some out of the walk in cooler. At any rate, not moist, not warm, and maybe even left over. That might explain the meat not being hot, but it does not explain the sauce just barely warm because what does it take to serve warm sauce???? Honestly, the lukewarm BBQ sauce from the kitchen is what inspired me to write this review right now. The staff was nice though and there was a nice atmosphere - but I say the same thing about the Albany County Library vending machines, which are a lot cheaper. $14/pound for dry, lukewarm food ...???? Not me. I can do better by getting a pork roast at Ridley's for $3/pound, put it in a bunch of BBQ sauce and cook it overnight in a slow cooker. At least it would be moist and hot when I wanted to eat. They need to learn how to do things better. Let's all hope they will with time. If you can't get good, hot juicy BBQ when things are hopping and busy, I hate to think about it when they are slow. read more
