a bag of fried green beans

Unfortunately, Dickey dramatically underserved today. We ordered a rack of ribs and a 1/2 lb of chop brisket (both okay) then ordered a large okra and large fried pickles and a regular creamed spinach. We get home (7min) to find the okra undercooked and dissolved through the paper sack and into the carry bag. No Fried pickles. But a medium container of - sliced pickles... I called the store, confused as to what I was charged and simply to see if this was a "normal" expectation. "Well, we are out of fried pickles so you have to say fried pickles so we can tell you we are out, otherwise we give you regular pickles". Unfortunately, I did speak clearly. Then I was asked if that was my only complaint, even though I had first explained my okra situation. Okra - charged me $21 Medium pickles- $5.95 Total bill $72. I've been a loyal customer up till today. I'm not sure what happened today, but what didn't happen was encourage me to come back.

    Outside of restaurant

I ordered a brisket sandwich combo. The brisket in my sandwich had a lot of fat. It was greasy and not really hot or fresh. French fries were OK. Restaurant was clean and organized and the person helping me was somewhat friendly.

    Plastic that was in food

I ended up throwing my whole order away when my son said that something was chewy i had him spit it out and it was plastic. that is not serve safe and is unexceptional my son could have chocked or ended up in the hospital if he did not say anything

Brisket mac n cheese. Hardly any meat, just fat, and all cold. Did I get the dredges? I'm from Texas &this is disgraceful!

Lots of travelers find it on Yelp and lots of locals deem it a Nextdoor favorite. The place is bustling on a random Monday filled with people the servers know by name and with those they dutifully seat and meet. We were the latter. Our server was friendly. The place is not a diner by east coast standards but instead a small storefront containing a restaurant. It has a room in front and one in back. With the kitchen and bathrooms in between. The difference here is the food! It is 5 Star Midwest type fair here. Good portions and reasonable prices. Oh my! This place had such good food. It easily was the best meal I ate in a week. We sat down already knowing Guy Fieri ate here but didn't know much else. Somehow through pure chance we ordered the three dishes that are the locals favs as we noticed on a card at the table after ordering. The breakfast burrito was the bomb. Yes, you should order it! The eggs with crispy hash browns inside and your choice of meat, I did bacon, was so tasty with the green chili poured over it. It was plate licking good. The 7220 burrito was also a fave with the pork and the same green chili sauce. The chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy was also so tasty. We didn't stop there because we heard about homemade pie and homemade cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon roll was medium sized with home made icing and lots of cinnamon so decadent. The pies we had, peach & strawberry rhubarb, had flaky buttery crusts and full of fruit. One we did as is and one ala mode with a hearty portion of vanilla ice cream. Sooooo good!

With all the hubbub, it was amazingly quiet. Everyone was talking and enjoying their meals, yet we had no problems hearing each other. The coffee gal had our coffees to us asap, with water, and kept them full the entire meal. Our waitress, Keeley greeted us with a warm smile and friendly demeanor. And before we knew it, our meals were served up hot and oh so scrumptious! I definitely recommend - it's worth the 5-10 minute wait! You won't be disappointed! Be sure to bring a to go container for your leftovers - they use styrofoam

We stopped in during the afternoon while traveling and were short on time. One of the reasons we…read morechose this place was because it had been recommended to us by ChatGPT for its good atmosphere and food, so we arrived with positive expectations. If you are on a schedule, hungry, or just passing through, I strongly recommend having a reservation before going. Another issue was the online menu experience. Their website would not open properly for us, and the menu information we found online did not match the physical menu we were given at the restaurant. That made it difficult to plan ahead or know what to expect before arriving. The host was initially kind enough to seat us at the bar so we would not be turned away, which we appreciated. We ordered a quick meatball dish to go and were told it would be about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, it ended up taking around 45 minutes. Had we been informed clearly from the beginning that the food would be significantly delayed, and that not having a reservation would place us at the back of the queue, we would have simply gone somewhere else and saved everyone the inconvenience. By the time the food arrived, we were tired and frustrated. During the wait, it was explained to us that because we did not have a reservation, other orders had to be prioritized ahead of ours. While the meal was ultimately provided at no charge, the overall experience was stressful and not ideal for travelers on a tight schedule. If you plan to visit, especially while on the road, I would recommend reserving in advance and allowing extra time. Good luck!

It's annoyingly hard and expensive. It's not snobbery, it's purely trying to eat healthier foods with less chemicals, etc. Our family member recommended Melissa's and me not being a vegetarian, was kinda skeptical. We opted to try this out - when in Rome... It's a small, cozy place. Staff were really nice. Menu was surprisingly large for a small Wyoming town. The five of us all got different things - lots to choose from. It was all AMAZING! Everyone, including me, loved it. It was fantastic, and portions were large! But what shocked me was the bill. Now if you're from somewhere else, it may not feel this way, but being from LA, the bill was about 1/2 of what I thought it would be. Given it was very affordable, we left a very generous tip as the staff was great. We can't wait to go back one day. There are also other fantastic little eateries (ice cream, etc) there that we likewise enjoyed. Two thumbs way up for Melissa's. Thank you for a great meal while away from home.
