So a battery was installed with a price quote of cost of battery plus $80 for installation. Then I drove to Trader Joe to shop and car wouldn't start. Owner showed up after worker had difficulty getting it started. My issue is that I have had problems getting the original invoice for the battery, puchased from Oreilly? Instead they manufactured one on their letterhead as my warranty for the battery? Are they an accredited supplier of the battery? I have escalated my request for the warranty through my bank. State Farm had initially requested the invoice provided to me but I don't believe what they provided to me which would compel me to have to work with them if battery malfunctions before the warranty expires.

Basically a brand new car, this hybrid was dead, no power at all. I filled out the Yelp information stating the make and model of the car, the location in a parking garage and the circumstances of why I needed the tow. I had Yelp send out projects to four towing services. I chose ABC Road Services [I am confused by the different company name, listed in Google as F&G Towing, instead of ABC Road Services as listed in Yelp ...], as they were the cheapest quote. . . and the owner said he may be able to fix the problem without a tow. The owner came over and tried to charge the car's auxiliary battery. No go. He told me after fifteen minutes of attempted charging, that the battery was dead and the hybrid battery also had no power, and that we needed to tow the car. However, since the aux battery was dead, the car could not be put in reverse. Also, the flatbed he brought was too high to carry the car through the garage. He suggested buying a new battery to get power to place the car in neutral to roll it out to the truck. I went out to purchase a new replacement auxiliary battery and scheduled to have the tow company return the next day (as the dealer had already closed). Another tech came out, and first wanted to try charging the aux battery again. It worked! There was enough charge to start the vehicle, with no need for replacing the battery or towing the car to the dealer. The problem, according to the first technician, was that the charger that the owner brought was not compatible with the 12v battery. The second tech had a 12v charger. He told me to keep it running to charge the aux battery. He then left for another job. Unfortunately, after running the car for five minutes to charge up the battery, I turned off the car and it promptly died - again, no power. As I found out later through research, these hybrids often do not have alternators to regulate the battery charge, relying instead on regeneration by braking and by engine power. The first tech still was busy with another tow, and a second tech came out to switch out the battery. Viola! Power restored and the car could shut down without losing power! I followed his advice and put in a gas stabilizer and drove the car out to a gas station to fill up the tank. Fortunately, no extra charge for the first visit, as well as the two techs that came out. And since I didn't actually need a tow, I did not need to pay for towing. HOWEVER, if I did need a tow, the owner quoted $145 for tow up to 8 miles. The dealer was 5 miles away, so not bad. The first tech, asked me what had been quoted to me by the owner, and when I told him the tech said "Honestly, it will be $195 for the tow." Why the difference? I do not know, but that price change worried me. So, for the owner to give me the wrong quote upfront, and for the worries caused to me for due to the inability to charge the aux battery in the first place, I had to take off two stars for this review. If the two techs were the only ones I had to deal with, I would have given 5 stars for their time and service.

I chose and paid for a "2-year warranty" battery but Wael installed a lower "1-year warranty" battery in car instead. He charged me $248 for the lower level battery which costs $110 in Auto Zone. See enclosed photos. The authenticity of the photo was confirmed by Auto Zone sales. When I brought this up to Wael, he refused to refund the difference and argued that I misunderstood him. He also did not install the car battery properly with one side of the battery bracket not fastened, hanging loose on top of the battery. His manner was very unprofessional when being confronted with the truth. He took advantage of vulnerable and distressed people eager to get their cars started again. I would not recommend anyone to use this "businesses" for roadside assistance.

Anthony responded fast and was super helpful. He lived really close to me and came to my spot, diagnosed the issue right away, and patched up my tire, saving me a grip on an expense I didn't need during the holidays. After the patch up, he thoroughly inspected my tire to ensure no other air bubbles were coming out, spraying it down and carefully checking. He put it back, told me what to look out for, and then he gave me great advice to wait til the New Year to buy new tires since most ppl would have a sale, which I did. My new tires will be coming in soon, but I really would've had a crappier Christmas if I didn't have his help. All of this happened within an HOUR by the way on a Sunday night at 8pm, right before Christmas. I mean, come on, where else can you find service like that? Fair warning - the neighborhood for a second sounded like an Auto Shop cuz of the loud power drill he had to use, but it was necessary to get it done fast. My neighbors who came out all worried to check where the noise was coming from were fine in the end (just scared cuz of all the local car thefts). Also, he doesn't carry change, so if you plan to pay in cash, just be ready - makes everything easier! Overall, amazing experience. Thanks Anthony for taking care of things the night before you left for your vacation! Definitely will save and come back if I need help again in the future.

The mechanic I used only said that the battery was not charging and probably bad from the manufacturer, not that it was installed incorrectly. At the time he came, I had not driven it in awhile and had some issues with squirrels. But I had it fixed and drove regularly since and confirmed with a local shop. I called wondering if I could have him come out to fix it (I thought labor was covered under warranty). He said it wasn't and started saying that he has never had issues in 10 years and he wouldn't come out because gas was too expensive. I am willing to pay someone (including him) to fix it, but opted not to go with him because he was speaking unkindly and accusing the other mechanic of being wrong. I am disappointed in the service and follow up. I would suggest going to a local shop instead of someone who travels.

On 3/5/18 My car got a flat tire. The Driver was 37 "Lee." I was in my Honda odyssey with my 2 year old. I was really stressed out as my older son was going to be let out of school and my car had a complete flat and the toddler was in a horrible mood. I was totally satisfied with the AAA emergency road service, response time and the service vehicle driver. I wanted to add he heard me on the phone while changing my tire and told me that the tire just needed a patch and to not listen to the people on the phone saying I needed not one but TWO tires to balance out my van. Since it still had original tires places were trying to sell me the premium name brand tire OR TWO non brand name tires to balance the car out. Lee sensed that I did not know much about cars and was being taken advantage of. He said it was an easy fix and just needed a patch. Lee was not only extremely helpful and quick to fix my issue, he saved me well over $100. I took it to get patched and it was $20. I was also able to pick up my son from school on time as a patch takes way less time than new tires. THANK YOU LEE!!I feel horrible I did not have cash to tip. dicks auto does everything in their power to make their customers happy. nothing is perfect in the big world of towing, but they do a damn good job of taking care of their customers.i feel bad for the poor guy that got his car towed away on the freeway but the police are the ones who orders those vehicles towed away.its illegal to just drive up and decide"im goin to tow this car away".know the laws when you get your licence & hop in that car for the first time.by the way, that forklift they have has the same attachment for moving your car around as the tow truck that probably towed your vehicle its called a wheellift.obviously this is all new to you and you dont quite understand it.i just wonder how your attitude was when you went in there seeing that the cops towed your car and all.it usually goes better when you act civil and like a grown up. read more

I am so very pleased with the help I received from Jason Hernandez from Dick's Automotive Transport. My car was dead and I call AAA they sent out one guy who said the battery had a charge we still tried to jump it but no such luck. I was not even able to roll up my windows. Jason came along to help and after trying several things he decided to check the connections again including the grounding cable. Voila!!! My car started. He made me turn it off and try again to make sure and it did. I am beyond thrilled with the service I received. If it weren't for Jason my car would have been towed and I would be without it for a few days while others tried to figure out what was wrong. Again, THANK YOU JASON!!!! Locked myself out of my car a while ago by locking my keys in my trunk. Well called up AAA and they told me these guys would be helping me out. They arrived right in the advised window and got to work. My car is such a pain that when he did unlock it the alarm went off on repeat and wouldnt pop the trunk where the keys were. Now to make matters worse my seats refused fold down so now my keys were locked in the trunk with no way to get to them. Steve Spaulding from Dicks really took care of my problem. I'm a contractor and my diesel ford wouldn't start. he diagnosed the problem on site with a high tech machine, showed me the read out which indicated my batteries were really gone but my alternator and other parts of the starting system were ok. He fitted me with 2 properly sized batteries at a competitive price. i was on my way with problem solved in under an hour. I flew back early this morning from Arizona and landed about 7:30 a.m. when I got to my car at my house my battery was completely dead. Not knowing the right questions or who to call I was directed to Dick's Towing and they were amazing. Quick service on the phone, quick out to my car, brought a new battery just in case I needed one, but only gave me a jump, charge me for the jump and gave me a crap load of battery knowledge that I never knew about. I have used Dicks through AAA several times, and each time its always a great experience. My car has been having intermittent gear shift issues, and finally got stuck in park and would not move. Roberto was excellent, he was able to get it unstuck. I ended up having it towed to my mechanic anyways, but it was very kind of Roberto to try and save me the trip and get it unstuck. I had two flat tires in a very remote spot on Mt. Umunhum and they were amazing! They called me multiple times to make sure I was doing ok and got to my location fairly quickly. They had my car towed from where I parked illegally and I have no issues with getting my car towed. I shouldn't have parked there in the first place. What I don't agree with is the FACT that in the process of towing my car they caused multiple scratches and dents all over the hood. Daric Gunn got here quick considering how much traffic there was. I got a flat tire going Northbound on 101 with my son in the backseat. Daric called me to update me on how far he was. The following fees had been tacked on: 1. $311 gate fee (not listed anywhere on their website, on this page, or by representative) The hours on both their Yelp and Apple Maps pages are wrong. They are not 24/7; they close at 5 p.m. If you come to retrieve your car past 5 p.m., they tack on this $311 extra fee just to open the gate. I had wasted $97 on an Uber from SF because I was trying to avoid the $127 daily storage fee they charge (also not on their website, but was mentioned by the representative). Turns out I would have been better just waiting. 2. $61 extra storage fee (not listed anywhere on their website, on this page, or by representative). Apparently they initially charge a 4h fee (when I called) after which they charge a day fee (when I arrived). When I called, the representative did not mention any of these fees. I'm highly suspicious of the timing of it as well. My friend noticed my car being towed at 2:00 p.m. It could not have possibly been at Unique Towing for more than 4 hours by the time I arrived at 5:30 p.m. 3. $47 extra tow fee Apparently the representative had misquoted me at $327, and the actual fee was $374. Instead of honoring the quote, they decided to just bump the price. I'm disappointed with this company's lack of transparency and hope this review can help anyone else with the misfortune of having to deal with them.

During that time, a truck matching the description drove past my location without stopping. I called the dispatch number provided by CHP, but they were unable to locate or provide an update on the assigned tow truck. Ultimately, I contacted a different tow company, which was able to respond and assist me. Based on this experience, I would not rely on this company for roadside assistance in a time-sensitive or safety-critical situation.

My dad asked me to call him for towing support after he accidentally got his car stuck in a…read moreditch... (don't ask lol). I would have called Allstate company but they do take forever with road side assistance. I quickly looked up on Yelp for a towing and decided to choose this spot after another spot wasn't able to come quickly enough. I'm happy with my decision. He was prompt and very responsive. 6:25pm called 7:13pm arrived 7:25pm fixed $125 in cash. Done deal. We were all watching him move around the flatbed and hook while also putting wood under the tires for a smooth support. He was great and seemed respectful. Would recommend! He made the process a seamless effort!

Wow! I didn't know that services like this still existed…read more I had a blowout, and needed help to put the spare on my car. (I have a heart condition and avoid stressful physical activities.) I spent an hour calling place after place. They didn't answer the phone. They told me they had nobody available. They quoted outrageous prices. (Don't even get me started on the guy who tried to sell me a used tire for $380 - pay in advance , sight unseen.) I finally reached Russell. He said he would charge me $75 to change the tire, and he could be there in 20-40 minutes. He actually showed up in 20 minutes! He quickly changed my tired as we chatted. The spare was low on air, and he said I should go straight to a gas station and fill it. I wasn't familiar with the area, so he gave me directions, and then said, "Why don't you just follow me so I can keep an eye on you." I followed him for about a mile and a half before seeing the gas station. I expect him to just drive on, but he actually pulled in, waited for me, and proceed to add the air to my tire. Russell is a really nice, friendly guy. He gives great service, and the price is way below other tow services.
