Great place for some yummy fast food! I'd only had Dick's at drive ins that weren't as close, and I'm so glad to have found this spot. Situated so close to the Seattle Center, it's incredibly easy to pop by for a meal while visiting the area! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and service is insanely fast. I usually get the fries and a chocolate shake, and neither have ever disappointed. The fries are soft, flavorful, and piping hot! The shake is creamy, sweet without being overbearing, and incredibly delicious. If you're adventurous, try dipping the fries in the shake - they are the perfect combo. Having lived in California for the last 4 years before moving to Seattle, I was hoping that In N Out existed here. Dick's is a close second. Been here many times, both when I lived in Seattle and every time I visited the city. This is the location with the indoor dining room. However, that is currently not open due to COVID. You can come inside to make your purchase (cashless), but then you must leave. Parking is easy in the large lot that is shared with another business next door. The food here had been consistent throughout the years and nothing has changed there. The prices have of course gone up, but not as much as one would expect. They still offer a great product at a competitive price. The burgers are greasy and the cheese really shines. The deluxe is my favorite with two patties and the special sauce with lettuce. The skin on fries are somewhat crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, the best of both worlds! read more

Prior to going to Seattle, I watched a video from Munchies about some classic spots and one of the places that stood out was Dick's. Truly an iconic name and it peeked my curiosity. We came here twice and both at off times so there was never a line. Service was fairly friendly and fast. Both times we got the deluxe burgers with fries! I truly enjoy the burgers - standard cheese burgers with a light sweet, savory sauce with bits of pickles. Quite addicting IMO and they came out piping hot. Contrary to everyone who's trashing the fries, I enjoyed the slight sogginess. Even when they got a little cold, it didn't taste cardboard-y or brittle like other fast food restaurants. I've eaten Dick's burgers for decades so when I was back in town, stopping here was a MUST! I was hoping to sit inside but due to Covid, all the seating has been removed. I wouldn't say it's at all my favorite burger in Seattle, or even close to, but it's one you can count on. And at the Queen Anne location they accept card and actually have a place to dine-in unlike its other locations. I was in lower Queen Anne for an event and was catching the bus back to downtown for home, yet needed something quick and nearby where the bus stop was. And there was Dick's, just as convenient as ever. On a Thursday night the place was pretty busy, with locals and tourists. I ordered a Dick's Deluxe, fries and a chocolate shake with a side of tartar sauce, and everything was about 10 bucks. Not too shabby. The food was A-OK, but I was sober, so what did you expect? The Dick's Deluxe was a double cheeseburger with lettuce and pickle relish, which wasn't too bad. Buns were the worst part, with it tasting dry and slightly stale. The fries seemed to have been sitting out too long, as they were all wilted. And the chocolate shake was too thick, but it was chocolate-y good. Don't forget the tartar sauce on the side for a nickel, which is housemade and makes for a good condiment for your fries. Here you have some hits and misses, but at least I didn't spend a fortune. The staff were efficient enough, albeit distracted and mot particularly friendly. The strawberry shake was the only good part of the meal, and why this review got two stars instead of just one. Always tasty and easy to get to I've been going to the Queen Anne location for so many years the Dicks Deluxe and fries with a Chocolate shake is my go to. Especially when I used to go to Seattle Central community college on Capital Hill. I used to eat 4 Deluxe burgers and two fries and two shakes when I was in my twenties believe it or not for two deluxe, fries with a shake used to cost 6.00 plus some change now due to inflation which is totally understandable it's almost 20.00 but now I'm in my 40's and I can't eat that many burgers but I still enjoy grabbing a deluxe sometimes two and a fry. Because we didn't know what food Seattle is known for as far as good food, we took our host's recommendation as a "great burger spot". We drove across town to this restaurant location specifically because it was in a building that looked like (he said) was the only Dick's restaurant that had seating. So disappointed to walk in and it was all standing room. There are counters around the perimeter to stand and eat your meal. Not even stools. No outside seating either. All of the sandwiches are made with no exception!!! Can't order cheese on a special burger. Can't take lettuce off a deluxe burger...You have to take it exactly as it's described on the menu, no exceptions! Condiments are extra cost $0.20 for 1 packet of ketchup. Any other add on is for cost, onions, pickles, Mayo, mustard or ketchup. Not sure what it so special about Dick's, I was expecting something extra unique about the burgers, like In n Out, The Habit or any other burger place that tries to differentiate themselves from a basic burger. I've been here more times than I would like to admit but it is your standard Dick's burger, fries, & milk shake place. It probably didn't help that my friends lived down the street from here either. Each time the food was consistent like you would expect from any fast food chain, or at least hope to expect. The food is being premade since they do not accept any modifications and it normally comes out warm and just made. The fries here are not of the crispy type which is a good thing for me cause I like soft fries. They have their signature sauce on their burger and pretty standard milk shake flavors. Friendly workers, semi-clean establishment, with city life activity outside around the place. They are open till 2am iirc and the food makes for good drunchies.
