Shake Shack always hits the spot! We came here for dinner and everyone in our group ordered burgers and I got the chicken sandwich. We also had the bacon cheese fries and tried one of their summer shakes. This was my first time trying their chicken sandwich and I added bacon and avocado to it and that was the move! It was a huge piece of chicken that was moist with a yummy sauce and all the toppings. The bacon and cheese fries were great, their cheese sauce is so creamy and tasty! We ordered the s'mores shakes but we got the banana pudding shake instead. The shake was good but wish they got the order right on that since we really wanted to try the s'mores one. This Shake Shack gets super busy and isn't that big either. We had a large group so we sat outside. It may be hard to find a table inside during peak meal times. Overall, Shake Shack has delicious food and is a great choice when you want something simple and fast!

For the price, where do you find a better burger joint downtown? Ill wait. My k-chicken sandwich was amazing. Ill most definitely be back to try their other burgers. I will say it wasnt the best burger in the world, but its was a darn good burger. Also not the cheapest, but a darn good price. The service was also fairly standard. I like the interior. For a burger joint its very nice, but not too nice

Friends and I decided to grab a quick bite at Shake Shack since we were out on South Lake Union in the afternoon. It was pretty busy when we showed up at 7:20PMish on a Saturday. The service here is made easy for customers. There are a few self-ordering kiosk in the front for you to place your orders in. This location has seating options inside and outside. My sister ordered the Avocado Bacon Chicken Sandwich. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. Then we shared a Banana Pudding Shake. The shake was yummy and not too sweet! I liked that it didn't taste overly banana flavored either. I enjoyed my burger and was satisfied!

No one ever greeted me. I was waiting to have my order taken for 3-5 min. Cashiers/workers were coming up to help dashers that were stepping into the small space between the counter and I. I was seen but never acknowledged. I looked around and noticed that there was a heard of people crowding iPads so I waited my turn to use one. The iPads were dirty and literally crusty. I put my order in and my phone number. I got a text saying I would receive a text when my food was done. So I stepped outside, I never received a text message. I walked in to find my food getting cold on the counter 5-10 minutes later. Safe to say shake shack will be the last place on my mind. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the food was decent.

Decent location of Shake Shack. The food was good as always, crisp and flavorful for a fast food chain. I do believe they may have been understaffed and continually instructed folks to use the self-order kiosks instead of coming to the counter. While it helped with lines, I saw some customers come in very confused because no one was at the counter and the self-order wasn't intuitively placed to the door. It also took them a bit to get orders together, mine sat behind the counter mostly-ready for a while waiting on one item which left others a bit not-hot. Overall, not a bad stop and can't complain for a quick lunch. Plus, the black and white milkshake will ALWAYS be good.

Shake shack is definitely on the pricier side for burgers but I would say it's worth for the quality! Super quick service and they brought it to our table. Very clean and neat interior. I usually get the shroom burger bc I like the melty cheese and mushroom combo but my friends got the double patty deal and were super happy with it!

I purchased the Shack Burger, add bacon for a total of $11.14. The bacon was great, but the burger itself was no better than and not as good as Wendy's Jr Bacon Burger, $2.99, with tax $3.29 Shameful! The first picture is what the Shack Burger should've looked like; the 2nd is Wendy's Bacon Cheese Burger; the 3rd is what my Shack Burger was served in (picture after I removed my sandwich, I requested it cut in half) the last image is the actual Shack Burger I was served! Actually I rate the burger & service '0' star

Yummy! If you ever have chance to eat a burger, go here! I got the Avacado bacon. Dad got the Shack Special. Achilles got Cheeseburger. Bubbie got fries. And the fries are a must! It's those old school fries. And they taste super yummy! We loved it so much we went there 2 times. It is pricey but so worth it! Oh and cool part is, they recycle not just plastic, paper, aluminum. Naw! They do the whole nine yards. They have compost, recyclables & garbage. They ask you to toss your trash accordingly. Everything in their shop is GREEN! Even the no smoking sign is green. They are fans of recycling! Most private shops are GREEN. It saves them money and earth! Or at least they try. So o support these places. THANK YOU! for making the world a better place. The place is nice and cozy. Decor is more go green vibe. They have 2 bathrooms that are gender neutral. They also have pick up windows & kiosks to order from. They do online orders as well. So there are many ways to go paperless and save the environment from trash. I love it here! Only thing is... because it IS gender neutral bathrooms, the floors get a bit messy with pee. It's gross' sorry to say that but it's true. I had to lay down some paper seat covers on the floor to stop myself from stepping onto a bunch of splattered spots on the ground under the toilet seat. And if there's spots, we CANT be too sure if it's water drips or pee unless you know for sure.. AND I know the difference because I LIVE with 4 boys. And so I'm AWAYS making sure they wipe the seats, the toilet AND the floor around them whether they drip or NOT. So yeah... just be careful when walking into the bathroom and making sure you're prepared to step onto pee. There so busy, I don't think they had time to clean up the restroom. Even the line for that was long. That's how busy and how much people was there to eat. So trust me, their burgers are super delicious and yummy. It's worth the price and the pee! LOL!!

Pretty solid spot when the burger and fries craving hits! This location was pretty clean and conveniently located. They have kiosk tablets you can order from. Cashier and staff were all very friendly. They offered us water while we waited at a table for our order. I got the cheeseburger with fries and my husband also ordered a shake. Everything tasted really yummy and I enjoyed the fries a lot! It's a little on the pricey side but still solid and would come back again!

This was my first time trying Shake Shack after many recommendations from friends. Unfortunately, I'm on the fence on my experience. The outside area was unpleasant to the eyes but that's just a Seattle thing sometimes. The indoor are was nice and clean. I think they could have shortened the ordering area and added more seating. Ordering was easy. Getting the food was the issue. They had tablets to order if paying with card and two stations to order with cash. After ordering they take your number to text you when your order is ready. My friend ordered first and so received her "ready" text first. Well, her food never showed up. The rest of my party received their food although that was hard for the employees as well. Many of our orders were made wrong and/or missing items. We all waited patiently for our friend to get her food but it never came. She asked the staff and they were confused. Either they lost her order or it got stolen. I do have to say they returned her money and offered to prioritize her order which was nice but we were already all done eating and she didn't want to wait another 20 mins. The food itself was tasty. I loved the shake and the burger was juicy. I would probably give them another chance, maybe a different location but I'm not exactly running to go back.

I love love love Shake Shack. Been to the Madison Square Park location in NY a bunch of times, airport locations, etc. I'm painfully giving this place 4 stars because I love the food so much, but the service and cleanliness of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. The good? Quality of food is right up there. Well cooked. Great quality. Small-ish portions but that's what you exchange for great ingredients. The meh? Agree with other reviewers that the restaurant is dirty, tables are not maintained and the staff isn't rude they're just not happy to be there. Our order wasn't called out and we didn't get a text so we had to keep going up. They were informative about it but certainly not a happy crew. In the summer in Seattle it's probably best to get it to go and walk across to the nice clean park or sit on Amazon building steps. Pro tip: if you are here after 4p or on weekends just park across the street at the Amazon garage for free!

Ask the Community - Shake Shack South Lake Union

    Is this open right now?

Yep! Our South Lake Union Shack is open for to-go, pick up and delivery orders.

    Do they have vegetarian option?

Yup! U can get the shroom burger! Deep fried portobello mushroom with cheese!

    Do they validate parking?

No, but you can park for free in amazon headquarters garage ( it isn't far)on weekends and I think after 4pm on weekdays if there is parking available.

What days and times are the lines the shortest? We tried to go today (Wednesday 11:45am) and the line was super duper long!!! And does anyone know when the app to preorder will start working?

I would say off peak hours. Anytime from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM is prime lunch time. The line is usually shorter if you go right at 5:00 PM after 6:30 PM the line is usually long again.

    Is there a parking lot?

Not specifically for Shake Shack. There's street parking a couple of blocks away or the Amazon lots (by the spheres) which are a block or 2 away and only a few dollars per hour.

    Are there still long lines?

About a 1 hour wait at 5pm on Saturday

    Do they take cash?

Unfortunately they don't. They only have kiosks that take cards. But if your card doesn't have a chip, you have to ask the worker to take your order.

The restaurant itself leaves a lot to be desired, but I'm not asking too much. I believe the owner said he was trying to revamp the place. I hope that the area comes alive in the future years, that should help. Here's the issue though, this is the slowest spot ever. I've waited 30 minutes for fries - FRIES. I don't mind waiting for food, but it should remain reasonable. There were only two or three people working, and one man did tell us this, but I need to be honest - this was on Super Bowl Sunday. No one was able to get anyone a beer from the tap for 40 minutes, the food took forever and it appeared that online orders were being prioritized (which makes sense, you make as you get orders coming in, but that puts your in person customers in an odd and sometimes frustrating position). To be honest, I probably wouldn't have minded as much if I just had some fries to snack on. I didn't mind as much this one time because I was just happy to find a place to watch the Super Bowl Half Time show, but other days, it's a little hard to look past. I wish this business the best, I live too close to not hope for its improvement! Looking forward to updating my review. At the end of the day, if you're hungry, it's late, this is your spot.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

I didn't expect much out of these, but they were surprisingly good. The rice is cooked perfectly, sticky and tender, yet each grain is distinctive and almost bouncy, giving great mouthfeel. The musubi seems to be dipped in a small amount of soy sauce, although not enough to cover the entire rice surface. The additional sodium isn't really needed in the first place due to the salty and meaty kick the spam on top gives the handheld snack. It's a classic combination for a good reason! (4/5) For the Food Walk special, they only give a small scoop of mac salad. I'm sure the normal side portion for $5.94 is much larger. The salad is unspectacular but solid. It's a little sweet, a bit peppery, and certainly very creamy. There's a bit of julienned carrot included that isn't particularly crunchy, being soaked in the mayo sauce. The macaroni itself isn't mushy or overcooked, so it still has some texture. (4/5) I don't usually expect much out of food court restaurants, but Aloha Plates definitely surprised me with their quality. It seems like a solid option for Hawaiian.

Perhaps the Lao Burger served there wasn't as juicy and succulent, with perfectly crisp smashed patties as I recalled? Or perhaps Taurus Ox just serves a completely inferior version. I revisited for a Friday late dinner to reach the bottom of things. This was at around 8PM and the place was surprisingly busy, with a fully running kitchen and almost all seats taken. It's a pretty small restaurant to begin with, but since the food comes fast, people don't typically stay too long. By the time our food arrived, a table had cleared up for us. Lao Burger ($18) - This Lao Burger is just as good as my first visit. Absolutely perfectly fried smash patties, completely with lacy, crispy edges that provide texture and an intense caramelized meaty flavor. I've already described the burger in detail in my previous review - what I can say on this visit is that the burger is basically identical, indicating that Ox Burger is consistent with cook and construction. The burger as a whole has the perfect moisture level with plenty of unique funky, umami-full flavors that make each bite a delight. As with my previous review, two things come to mind that detract just a tiny bit from my full enjoyment. Firstly, the burger as a whole is a bit salty for my tastes, necessitating several trips to refill my cup of water Secondly, the piece of sliced pork belly included is kind of vestigial. It seems to be only there to add additional salt, because neither the flavor nor texture are very apparent while eating. (5/5) Deluxe ($15) - This burger is somehow way messier than the Lao to eat. Upon lifting it up, a mess of watery mustard/mayo mix drips onto the plate. I think it might be from the extra moisture in the tomatoes and lettuce. And yet, somehow the bun isn't soggy at all. This burger is otherwise excellent, combing the same picture perfect smash patties as in the Lao, with the classic fixings - American cheese, bacon, pickles, and plenty of veggie mix. (5/5) I'm glad I gave the Lao Burger another chance. It's now one of my favorite burgers in the city. I'll definitely be coming back to Ox Burger for more. The progenitor, Taurus Ox, remains on my not recommended list though! Bathrooms - Single unisex room.
