Consistent, delicious food. Yummy chocolate shakes and fries. Quick service. Clean. Good people watching if you want to eat in your car.

I wanted something quick and easy to eat on my ride back home, so we stopped by here. I got two Cheeseburgers and fries and my bf got his usual two Dick's Deluxes and fries. It was a Friday night, and was pretty packed. But there were many lines open, and we got in and out very quickly. I ate the one Cheeseburger with my side onions on the ride home, and was satisfied. I put the fries in the air fryer when I got home (I like crispy fries).

Dick's is a Seattle staple and has multiple locations across Seattle. This location is in Lake City off of Lake City Way NE. There's no seating so most people either eat in their cars or take it to go. I got the Dick's deluxe, fries, and a strawberry shake. Normally I like the burger but this was just okay. The portion of fries was less than I've had and was lukewarm at best. The shake could've had more strawberry flavor. I've had better food at other Dick's locations and the food I had here was just okay. It also doesn't help that this location doesn't have seating.

Not busy at all when we arrived, but while we were ordering, people started to walk in & it got busy. Pricing is very very cheap for the quality of food you get, but apparently they are trying to keep it at that price, since they've been in business. The cashier was very friendly & happy to answer any questions we had regarding the menu. They only serve burgers, so if you are looking for a "chicken" vegy meal, this is not the place for you, unless all you want is fries. They offer tartar sauce for dipping your fries. Not the whole fish & chips tartar sauce, it's a nice flavor of mayo & relish kinda dip. A ton of parking & there's not sitting unless you're eating in your car. This is a burger joint to visit if you're in Seattle. A must try

A really great burger joint that has the simplest menu, great prices, and fast service! The burgers are so good, I really like the cheeseburger. The fries are pretty traditional potato fries. If you catch their food truck out and about be sure to grab yourself a burger. The lake city location today wasn't packed and we were able to get in and out. This place can get packed! Lines can form in the late evening hours and I can see why, the food is delicious.

Don't get me wrong, Dick's is very good most of the time except this morning January 1st, 2025 around 10:30 AM. I went there to pick up (2) specials, 1 cheese and (2) fries. Everything tasted fine except for them fries. Either Dick's change their supplier again Or these fries are from last night. My usual fries from Dick's are limpy and kinda greasy. But what I have aren't even greasy. Almost like some of them store brand fries. Texture also different. Kinda weird.

Can't go wrong with the iconic Seattle burger joint. We had a massive family to feed and they did well to pack it in a to go box to preserve the wholeness of each burger. I personally like a little more lights to brighten up the place and to keep it safe at night but this may be a personal note. Parking was hard to get in and out of compared to other locations.

Not sure what the situation was today with this location but this was hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a Dicks. I'll preface this review with - Dicks is not a gourmet fancy burger place. They don't take customizations. They are basic and standard and consistent and perfectly yummy. I've previously rated other locations 5 stars. So I know what I'm in for when I go to Dicks. That said - I went and ordered 10 Cheese and 1 Deluxe today. They didn't have any Cheese and offered me some random combination of Plain Cheese and hamburgers or to wait without any time frame. I chose to just wait. Fine. Whatever. I wait. I get the food. I leave. I get almost home and find they gave me 10 PLAIN Cheese. PLAIN cheese. Meaning no ketchup/mustard. Considering I had turned down Plain Cheese AND WAITED for (regular) Cheese - and the fact this is a place that charges for additional ketchup/mustard - they sure better refund me. I'll update this review if I hear back from them. Otherwise I won't be back to this location.

I understand the history of this place in Seattle's culture, but I can't help to think it is the most average burger I've eaten. Of course you'd come here for cheap prices and fresh beef patties, but there's nothing too memorable in taste to make me crave it again. Note: They don't allow burger customizations. I'm not a pickle person, but it was tolerable as mixed in their "tartar" sauce. Not a personal fan of limp fries in general, but again it's cheap, salty and freshly made. The strawberry milkshake was average, I might even say it barely had any flavor aside from the vanilla base. This location has a large enough parking lot. Lines will build up quick, but goes by fast, assuming the person ahead of you isn't obnoxiously ordering 10+ burgers.

It's Dicks. It's a burger joint. It's simple and cheap. It's a part of Seattle culture, so it should be on everyone's to-do list.

I am a tenders aficionado. I used to swing by Heaven Sent at this location every so often to…read morepartake of their fantastic tenders, and was bummed when it closed. But then got quite excited when I saw another chicken spot had opened up in the same space! I've been by twice in the past couple of weeks and had the tenders both times (just the tenders, not the combo). There is a lot to recommend with these tenders. Portion size is good (5 well-sized tenders), plus an airy roll and -- unexpectedly -- 3 - 4 slices of a giant dill pickle (which I love!). The house dipping sauce is delicious, tangy with a tiny bit of subtle heat. The plump tenders come out piping hot and covered with a batter that has a nice crunch to it -- and is well-portioned to the meat. I would not recommend the spicy tenders as it seemed like they just sprinkled some paprika-like spices unevenly over the pieces, the spices did not seem fully integrated into the batter. But the regular tenders are delicious and you get that extra burst of flavor and spice with the dipping sauce (plus the tang of the big pickle slices). The tenders only order came to $15 including tax and tip, not cheap, but par for the course in Seattle. The woman who took my order both times was quite charming, she had nice customer service energy and clearly took pride in the restaurant, which was bright and clean. I wish them success and will personally do my part to support them when I get the tenders urge! ;-)

IT was a modest spot that didn't have a ton of space, but they did what they could with the space they had. They had a good decorative menu but ordering was done primarily through a kiosk. Even though there was minimal interaction, the employees seemed nice. I got a 4 pc tender combo. I thought it was a very good portion of food that even comes with a roll and sauce. The chicken was pretty good and not dry at all. The flavoring alone wasn't great but that's why they include a sauce. I guess. I also got a spicy version where they put a spicy dusting on the chicken which also helped with flavoring. The fries were crispy and in waffle style. This isn't the best chicken spot around, but it does the trick.

After ordering at the kiosk, a real person actually called us up to let us know they were out of a sauce in one of our items and offered a different one instead as a substitute. Now it sucks that they were out of the one we ordered, and maybe it should be updated in their system at the kiosk if that's possible (or a paper sign?), but the fact that they offered a substitute before completing our order was good customer service. Also, I went up to the front to ask for the restroom code, and I didn't have to wait long before a person actually walked over to me to see what I needed. Oh and to top it off, another customer didn't hear their order (to be fair, the person who called out the name didn't say it very clearly or loudly, but the customer also had headphones on, so it was a lose-lose situation)... so it sat on the counter for awhile. When the customer finally came up to pick up their food, a worker said since the food had sat there for some time, let them know if it's too cold. Wow, very nice! Yes, customer service like this shouldn't be such an anomaly, but I've had pretty bad experiences with issues from ordering at a kiosk at other restaurants, and the service here was so much better. The place was pretty clean, food was good.

Okay, Chipotle (Lake City) takeout it is. Since I'm in a watch my carbs state of mind, I chose a bowl over a burrito. Specifically, I went for the veggie bowl with brown rice, black beans, lettuce, fajita veggies, and all of the available salsas (love the tomatillo red chilli). They didn't skimp on the ingredients. The lettuce was crisp, the fajita veggies just right, and black beans were heavenly. I, of course, added chips with mild salsa to round out the order. I may like extra hot salsa on my bowl ingredients but not on my chips! The order arrived faster than the advertised expected time of arrival. Kudos to the staff and delivery driver for getting it to me ASAP.
