We love the food, service and atmosphere here. Today we spent a beautiful spring afternoon on the patio. This is more of a slow eating establishment and a great place to slow down for the day. The food was fresh, hot and full of flavor. Parking is a bit tricky, but this place is worth the slight challenge.

Wow! We ended up here by accident and Diego's didn't disappoint. Can't wait to return! Funky, unique atmosphere. Fantastic service. DELICIOUS flavors. The bread came first. Thank you! Yummy snack to take the edge off our hunger. We ordered honey sraracha pork loin and the fish taco plate. Yum! They brewed a fresh pot of decaf for us so we could enjoy the caramel coffee experience Everything was fresh and amazing. Don't miss this dining opportunity.

Wow! What a neat little restaurant! Diego's serves South American cuisine in an interesting little building in grass valley. The patio dining area is surrounded by flowers and offers plenty of shade. The interior is filled with interesting paintings and knick knacks. In the night I visited, there was live music as well. Our server was friendly and didn't bat an eye when I butchered the pronunciation of "panqueque". Speaking of panqueque, I tried the Especial which was amazing. It's built like a smothered burrito but with a savory crepe instead of a tortilla.

Such a cute little place--but if you blink you'll miss it, keep your eyes peeled! Awesome patio, friendly and professional service with a huge menu of South American influenced cuisine. Reservations recommended. Parking can be a bit tricky so allow yourself some lead time.

I think this is good thank you

I have give this place several chance since 2018 I will not recommend IT It is not as authentic as they wish it to Be Taste varies too much depending who is in the kitchen Services was not good for us-and we had guest and waited long periods for each dish to come out so much WE never ate together!! Due to this

So happy to have found this place ---was a definite foodie experience . The atmosphere was the epitome of Grass Valley---eclectic, unique and a little boho . The menu has something for everyone, but I have to say that I don't think you can go wrong with anything . The flavors just are bursting with spice and freshness , and I couldn't get enough of the black beans and rice. Be sure to save room for dessert ----amazing and all house made.

It was suggested to try this restaurant for my birthday. We arrived to a beautifully decorated restaurant with lovely lights outside. Initially, we were slightly perplexed about the entrance, but discovered that access was through the patio leading to the main entrance. When we walked in, we saw a lurch type statue and a festive Halloween decorations. I absolutely loved that aspect of the decor. The food options were quite unique and interesting, which we enjoy. My husband decided to order the flat iron steak with vegetables and sweet potato fries. I chose to have steak nachos with guacamole and salsa served separately. We arrived at the establishment within an hour of its closing time, and although we tried to order quickly so as not to inconvenience the staff, I must admit that the lively ambiance did not seem to be fully reflected in their demeanor. We would like to visit again in the future and perhaps dine in the patio area next time.

This was a new thing for me to try I'm used to Mexican flavors.. I tried the pupusas and they were good I'm used to the more common Salvadoran style, but still tasty, I tried one of each. The bean and cheese had more flavor to me than the chicken and cheese.. maybe due to not seeing any chicken in the bites I had. The place was pretty busy and has a nice dining area outside. We also had the BBQ banana split, I didn't get the opportunity to take a picture of it before the hubby started in on it. It was really good and also different from the regular banana split you expect... the caramel was yummy.

The sun was out, we'd done our fair share of walking, and an ice cream cone sounded like just what the doctor ordered. I grabbed a fresh waffle cone loaded with some kind of almond fudge mocha masterpiece don't ask me the official name because I was too busy enjoying it! The boy got something different, and judging by how fast it disappeared, I'd say he approved too. The waffle cone was fresh, the ice cream was rich and creamy, and every bite hit the spot. It's one of those little places that fits Nevada City perfectly simple, welcoming, and exactly what you hope to find while exploring an old mining town. If you're strolling through downtown on a warm afternoon, do yourself a favor and stop at Treat. Cool off, grab a cone, sit on a bench, and watch the world go by. First class all the way. After all... they didn't name it Treat for nothing. Go ahead treat yourself.

The service was quick, we were seated in a timely manner and the food was so good! We sat closer to the bar and our server was on top of it! We ordered and had our food right away not even a 20 minute wait! We got the pulled pork sandwich, recommended by our server, the western burger, and the Mac and cheese for our little! It was all soooo good! The pulled pork sandwich was amazing. Happy to see this business thriving! And glad to update our review to a positive one! Today was great! Cheers!

I made reservations for 4 of us for a Friday night at 5:00. We were seated in the dining area on time, however because of the time of day the sunshine that was reflected off the building across the street through the window was absolutely blinding. We moved a table back but there was no difference. I let our guests sit in the seats that were not facing this terrible reflection and just dealt with it myself. We should have actually moved completely but didn't want to make a big deal about it. This issue could be easily fixed with blinds (duh) So we ordered our food. Women ordered the ball steak (which is sirloin) my brother ordered fish and I ordered the filet. Well the ball steaks were absolutely horrible (tough as shoe leather) fish (salmon) was ok and filet was also good but undercooked plus they forgot my mashed potatoes. ($69 for a 8oz filet which was probably more like 6 oz ) you would expect much better. We pointed that out (which is quite unbelievable they forgot the potatoes) they eventually brought them on a separate plate ( they were just warm). The butter was still pretty much frozen in the little tin cup that they serve it in. So we pointed out the two ball steaks were like leather. Both of the women have ordered those before and they have been good, well not this time. For the kind of money you spend for these meals, it really is sad. They did remove the two steak dinners from the bill but that does not make it all good in my opinion. Oh yeah and 5 slices of tomato's with cheese on top ( that were not ripe ) at $18 are you serious) For one of the top restaurants in this area, they completely failed. IWaitress was very nice and apologized (like they should) but unfortunately we won't be going back.

We ordered a house sausage pizza and to add the salami to the pizza which was a great choice loved the pizza we watched it get made right in front of us and their bacon and cheddar melt. I paid because I only had an hour for lunch and needed to eat. I got my mocha and sat down to wait for my sandwich. As I waited, I noticed several people who ordered after me receiving their food while I was still sitting there. About 15 minutes later, I finally received my to-go sandwich. When I opened the container, it was obvious it had been sitting there for a while. The sandwich was sweaty, and half of it was soggy. Apparently, they had forgotten to bring it to me. By that point, my mocha was already gone before I had even started eating. The BLT itself was made on regular-sized sandwich bread, and the tomatoes and bacon were good. But $34 for a basic BLT and a small iced mocha is outrageous, especially considering the wait and the condition of the sandwich when I finally received it. I will not be going back. The prices are simply far too high for what you get.
