This is my all time go to spot since i've moved to Central Oregon. I have tried the Carne Asada, the Taquitos, the Seafood Ravioli and Pasta, AND the Filet Mignon. The Pasta was my go to for a while, but recently I have been getting the Filet Mignon. I kid you not, it is the best steak i have had here. I have eaten at every steakhouse in Bend & Redmond. It comes with veggies & mashed potatoes or a baked potato, I always get the mashed potatoes! It also comes with this slice of bread, I usually don't like it when it cools down but when it's fresh... It's perfection. The filet melts in my mouth, it's perfectly seasoned every. single. time. The seafood Ravioli is amazing as well, the sauce is creamy, not too salty, the seafood is always moist and tastes great. I wasn't a fan of the ravioli but my sister devoured it. The service is always top notch. When I am drinking, i'm never without a drink. (I always get the Lava Flow!) And they ALWAYS ask if you need more chips & salsa. The environment is very friendly, the lighting isn't too bright. All of the servers constantly check on you and provide awesome customer service. :) This is a spot I take all my out of tower visitors and they are never disappointed! The $50 dollar burrito is lots of onions and peppers, 3 jumbo scallops, two shrimps and small piece of halibut. Tasted no crab. They boast that it is really huge and more than enough for two people and it was not. We asked about it for maybe the cook had an off day but waiter said they cook it the same everyone. This burrito should be a $25 burrito. We are rating the burrito that was bragged about by their staff. They over bragged the Acapulco Burrito. . read more

Don't hesitate, just go! Delicious, satisfying food and great service by people who actually seem to care. Everything was tasty but the standout for us was the Creole BBQ shrimp. The sauce so good I wanted to lick the plate. I'm no expert but it didn't seem like creole or bbq to me... more like a buttery A-1 Worcestershire kind of thing. Anyway super yummy, highly recommended. We also had the ceviche which was tasty and light and a generous portion. Great to eat with the complimentary chips (served with 2 kinds of salsa, one had a smokey taste which my husband and son loved.) Kids menu was pretty standard and so nice to see, after a quite a few non-kid-friendly dining experiences on our trip to Bend/Redmond. Food was good, but we were walked through a half empty dinning area and seated in the covered area outside the main building. The service was poor and water glasses were not refilled. We were given a few excuses by the server prior to getting the bill. We were visiting for a wedding this weekend, and this place was highly rated and only a block from the hotel. My wife and I were very excited to visit. Walking in we were quickly greeted and seated. Not extremely bright, but clean, and kind of a up-class laid back ambiance. They brought us water and chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were delicious. We both decided to get drinks, and I ordered a Mexican Mule (made with a delicious repasado). Loved the drink. For food we wanted to try a couple different things before the wedding, so we went with a couple appetizers. We got the Tex Max spring rolls, and an order of the Tacos de Pesado. The Tex Mex rolls were pretty dang good, they were crispy and flaky. They did not have a lot of filling inside them, but they were pretty good. The tacos on the other hand had a lot of stuff on them. However I didn't find them to be all that good. They lacked a lot of flavor and had a consistency that was just mushy. All you could taste really was the butter on the fish, which was actually kind of weird. Without the fish being breaded and adding the avocado and the soft tortilla, it was all just soft feeling. The cabbage slaw added very little crunch or flavor. I added the salsa that came with the chips and it helped a little, but not a lot. I really think the fish needs to be breaded, it just gives the food those layers that are needed. Overall I think the food was fine. It was edible. It just wasn't great. And definitely didn't live up to what I thought I was going to get or what the price point was. Maybe I'll try a meal next time if we're there, but I'll probably just try one of the three other Mexican restaurants on the block first. read more

Omg I had to practically get rolled out of here and couldn't even finish half of my pork shank! It was so good! Super friendly service. The Osso bucco (pork shank) was excellent. My husband had a burrito with carnitas meat and it came with really yummy guacamole. A highly rated restaurant, Diego's did not disappoint. It deserves it's rating. It's an option both for a nice meal on the town or a quick impromptu bite. - Inviting and comfortable space with a small bar up front. We sat at one of the front window tables, which was nice. Any of the side tables would be fine too. I probably would not want to sit near the restrooms though. - Good ambiance but not stuffy. No loud music. - Comprehensive menu including quite a few signature dishes. - Decent beer, wine and booze offerings. - Not too expensive. This isn't a taqueria so you're gonna pay more. - Excellent service from the table server and the barkeep. - Great spicy salsa! I haven't sampled much of the menu but what I have had was top notch. I am visiting the area with my family and we were searching for a steakhouse nearby. We found "The Brick house" and we're going to go there until we saw their outlandish prices for a small portion. We asked some local people in the area and 4 out of the 5 said go to Diego's Spirited Kitchen. When you walk in, the smell of whatever is being cooked in the back overtakes you. We were greeted fast and sat fast. We had a few different waiters and waitresses taking care of us as a group (I think this is cool and efficient) We we're served chips and salsa and water within a minute of sitting down, keep in mind the place is pretty busy. We didn't have to ask for a single thing the whole time. The staff is extremely pleasant and the food was just as amazing. The menu is huge and anyone can find stuff. This is not your traditional Mexican restaurant, they are much more. Thank you Diego's y'all are awesome! read more

On our way to Sunriver OR, we stopped for a fantastic dinner and Diego's. We were welcomed with a big smile and our server could NOT have been nicer. The staff was very attentive and willing to keep filling our chip baskets indefinitely All eight of us were thrilled with their meals. I had a Burrito with Mole sauce - it was MOLELICIOUS! The chicken was moist and seasoned perfectly. O howdy - BTW - the chips were crispy and warm and being the salsa snob I am it was muy excelente! So I absolutely love Arroz con Pollo, I get it at every Mexican restaurant my wife and I go to. I can easily estimate in the last 2 years I have ate Arroz cone Pollo 40 times. Stopped in for a quick snack before flying out of town. We shared the pork carnitas nachos and really enjoyed them. The portion was large and the ingredients fresh. The addition of black beans as the bottom layer was a welcome surprise. We did think the prices for appetizers were slightly high as they were almost as much as an entree. I wanted to get guacamole also but it was $17.00 because it's prepared table side. This was so amazing. We came in about 30 minutes before they closed and they were still really hospitable. The place was nice (modern-ish but comfy/cozy) and the food was EXTRAORDINARY. I got something that had a lot of different stuff such as pico de gallo, guacamole, shrimp, mushrooms, refried beans, a side of tortillas, and the BEST skirt stake I've ever had. Great place for Asian (Himalayan) food in Bend. Their service is upfront, you order and pay at the counter and they bring you the food. They have. Nice space in the yard to eat outside. I am in Redmond, OR visiting family and staying at SCP HOTEL. I decided to try this restaurant and all I can say is WOW. I had the Diego Burrito with Asada Steak. First, it was enormous. it was at least a foot long. packed with tasty steak, rice and set on a base of refried black beans. im a Texan so believe me, this is TexMex to a tee! The service was impeccable. Water glass never empty. only 1 complaint: when I dine alone, which I do a lot, I do not wish to sit at the bar or in the bar. the greeter tried three times to seat me in the bar. Finally I just said, I prefer a table if you please. A very minor issue. I left a 40% tip bc I was seated at a 4 top and wanted the great service to be rewarded. read more

Visiting from out of town, walked in on a whim late one evening after scouting Yelp but, honestly didnt know what to expect from this place. I figured it would be nice Mexican food, but I really was surprised by how extensive and varied the menu turned out to be. Bought a nice bottle of Cakebread Chardonnay for a reasonable price and took our time with the menu, finally ordered a halibut with lobster sauce dinner for my spouse and red chicken Molé for me. Nice armosphere and pivate booths...it was late and there was a large party in the patio out back, the service was reasonable, not the fastest, but not the slowest, and our server was friendly. The halibut was perfect! Our server had warned us that it was a rich dish with the creamy lobster sauce, and it definitely was, but don't think I've ever had a piece of halibut as good as that tasted. I liked my Mole just fine with rice beans and flour tortillas , but my wife and I ended up splitting her meal because there was plenty and it was so fantastic with the wine; we took most of mine home for leftovers for the next day...it made for a nice lunch. $100 plus tip for a phenomenal meal and a bottle of wine, well worth it... we'll have to stop by here again next time we're in Redmond! read more

The food was delicious. Especially the chicken enchilada and the beef chimichanga. It was busy and a known popular restaurant. There certainly an eclectic mix of people dining. It may have been a particularly busy night yet the staff were very attentive, and absolutely lovely. That being said, as an artist myself, the artwork was terrible and needs to be remedied. Overall good experience. We were seated promptly and the server was kind. The pork osso bucco, which I got because of the many positive reviews on Yelp, was indeed good, but not stellar. The meat was super tender, it fell off the bone, but the dark sauce was a bit too overpowering to me. Very good nonetheless. The steak fajitas were very good, the steak itself was just ok, but the overall experience was very good. The flan was just ok, but I realize that South American style flan might be a bit different to what I'm used to, which is Japanese style purin or European style crème caramel. This flan was denser and more thoroughly cooked than the flan I'm used to. I finished it all anyway, so it was not bad :) overall great experience and definitely a place to hit when you're traveling in this area. read more
