Hamburger is large and tasty but would have loved it more if it were on a brioche roll Chicken souvlaki was delicious and portion large Iced coffee was delicious. We enjoyed our lunch!

I ordered the Dietz chicken omelette it was very good and plenty of cheese just the way I like it! Husbands big breakfast was as described I tried the sausage from his and it was delicious!

Large diner with indoor and outdoor seating close to exit 19 off i-87. A good stop to eat especially for families as they literally have everything and quality is very good for a diner. Prices also very reasonable relative to quantity (which is large).

We stopped by after going on the Polar Express. We were a group of 27 and they happily accommodated us all. Usual diner food, the greatness varied based on the plate. Definitely will return after Polar Express next year. They have the cutest photo op display outside.

Food was really good. Waiters were respectful and we arrived at like 8:20 and they closed at nine and they were kind enough to let us eat there. They could have closed up. But they stayed and made sure we got our food overall good place recommended for dinner

Kingston, NY - such a great diner! The food is excellent, plentiful, and prices are super. No wonder it was still very busy at almost 2pm on a Sunday. We ordered the souvlaki combo platter, Dietz chicken sandwich deluxe, and a short stack of buttermilk pancakes. All very good, with plenty of leftovers to take home. The service is quick yet diligent, and the owner was there to personally greet customers. There is a spacious outdoor patio, which was nicely decorated (we came in early November so it was autumn and Halloween themed). My only gripe is that the ladies' bathroom was not the cleanest on the occasion we visited, which makes me wonder... Diners can be hit or miss but this one meets the mark, so rates a 5 in the category.

When hubs gets into his feels about time-warped diner breakfast, there's nothing taking him away from that. And because we were in the Kingston area anyway, this was it. Dietz shares(?) a parking lot with Deising's Bakery. My Lox+ toasted Bagel "Delux" had ALL the trimmings in pieces. Instead of perfect onion circles, they were like cut in fours, the "Delux" Lox plate included peppers ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, instead of capers (which I don't eat anyway) these folks use pimento-stuffed olives ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and the tomatoes, were perfect as you would expect them- sliced. All this on a large bed of iceberg lettuce¯\_(ツ)_/¯. It's how Dietz does it. If only my server took what I initially told her I wanted- which was 'lox, on toasted bagel, tomato and onions and cream cheese'. THAT'S IT. So much food was wasted. But, I loved my freshly-made Vanilla Egg Cream. My drink was refreshing- even in almost 30° weather, wasn't neither too sweet nor bland and the vanilla taste was pure and hubs enjoyed his waffle. Typical Diner inside, ventilation was ok and service was wonderful.

3.5 stars - Food was just alright but huge bang for your buck! Rounded up because the value was really good for portion sizes. We got the biscuits with gravy and eggs, an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, strawberry French toast, and shrimp in a basket meal all for $42.9 before tip. Food came out in about 10 minutes, our favorite was the popcorn shrimp and French toast.

Decided to go for breakfast. This diner is only about 15 minutes from me. it definitely looks like the 1970s inside. Nothing much has changed in all these years. They had some other good breakfast specials so I decided to go with their biscuits and gravy sausage gravy with potatoes and I added an egg the service was very friendly. Some locals were sitting at the counter around With the waitress looks like the owner may have come out and talked to them as well. My food came out and it looked very good. The sausage gravy had a good flavor. I didn't see that many chunks of sausage in the gravy however. The potatoes were cooked very nicely Crispy and tasty the egg was made just right. The biscuits were fresh and fluffy. Definitely a good value as well. Good Hardy portion I've heard that the burgers are made at the diner. Too often diners just get those frozen burgers and they all have the same consistency and taste. Out of the good number of diners in Kingston. There's one on the main street downtown. That's pretty good as well. Plus one that's a little further down the road I think there's even another one not too far from that one but out of the four this one is the best .

We ordered take out to pick up after a day out in the Catskills. We both ordered burgers. They were prepared correctly but nothing stood out about the food. The person who took my order was efficient but not particularly friendly. When picking up the order, my friend went in. He said that the counter staff wasn't too friendly but that one of the workers was very kind. So, mixed reviews on service. The restaurant was very busy when we stopped by- it appeared to be clean and well- maintained

We sat outside in their pleasant eating area, cleverly made with wood and flowers. We had delicious shrimp salad and tuna salad sandwiches, with lettuce and tomato. Super! Accompanied by a pickle and great Cole slaw. Generous portions. Enjoyable lunch! Great service! We hope to return when in the area. read more

My friends and I dined here to have brunch. This was my first dining experience at Dietz Stadium Diner. There is a full menu for every meal. My friends and I were happy with their meals. I had the stuffed french toast with strawberries and whipped cream. The customer service was excellent. I am looking forward to dining at Dietz Stadium Diner again in the near future. read more

We were looking for something not to far off the interstate. This was the closest (less than 2 miles). After eating there, I would have driven 20 miles out of the way! The food was amazing! Large portions and served hot. Extensive menu options, so there is literally something for everyone. Very friendly staff. Our table picks were: eggs Benedict, Biscuits and sausage gravy, French Dip. read more

The Stadium Diner NEVER disappoints. Over the years, they've been so consistent with excellent tasting food and large portions at a reasonable price. Their staff are friendly and very attentive. The waitress dropped the ketchup on the floor and picked it up and served it to us, we were sitting in the outdoor seating area. I spoke with the manager about this and she thought it was ok because it was in plastic packets. Poor service and very unprofessional Management. read more

Yes, it's just a diner but there's always something special about small town USA and family owned businesses. The food was good and it came out super fast. I had a cold salad platter with tuna and it was MASSIVE...so much food for under $10! The fries were awesome too. Service was great and the staff works very hard. It seems like everyone there is a regular (a good sign), and coming here feels like coming to someone's home. read more

Very good coffee and food! This place was hoppin but they run it so well our party of 7 didn't have to wait too long! Staff was very friendly and prices super reasonable. A very good diner with great prices. If you a looking for a homey atmosphere, good prices and some good comfort food this is the place to go. They have really cool kids chairs that actually attach to the table so your young ones can sit in the booth with you, instead of outside in a chair. This place is really clean as well. The only negative is sometimes especially during the holidays this place gets super busy which can increase the wait time a little. That being said the wait staff are always incredibly nice. If you are looking for a good diner experience go here. read more

I'm so beside myself , I have been going to Dietz for over 20 years, with inflation being a issue today, I get it but a Turkey dinner for one should not cost 27.00 dollars , then to get the attitude on the phone and then in person was unacceptable, may E it's time to cook more at home!!!! read more

Was on a road trip and stopped by this place after seeing the reviews. Best I can describe the experience was underwhelming. I was very disappointed with the $9.00 Stadium Platter. It came to our table exactly as shown in the picture and it looked like someone dropped it and threw it back on the plate. The French Dip panini, however, was not bad so it's unfortunate that the appetizer was in such a poor state. Overall I would say this diner is average. read more

Started off with large bowls of New England clam chowder and then salads. Both very good. Then we had the prime rib and shrimp scampi. Again both very good. Unfortunately, the service was very slow which got even worse by our waitress forgetting our dessert. But, the man bussing and cleaning the tables was the hardest working of all. Not only wiping the tables down but also drying them and brushing off the seats! Don't you just hate it when you sit down and the table is wet. Add some more waitresses! read more

this establishment is not particularly for all minorities. We requested a booth and was told by Natalie at the front desk there were none available and she sat us at the bar for Sunday breakfast, moments after we were seated a couple was placed In a booth directly behind us not to mention the workers choosing to drink and leave there glasses in front of us out of all the people seated at the bar. Of course we're the only blacks In here this morning, the treatment we received has been horrible from the moment we've entered the establishment. read more

Talk about bang for your buck! I was picking off of everyone's plate at my table here. The split pea soup is the best I ever had and I pride on my soup making. The bread used for the paninis are soft, fluffy, and add to the flavor. The puddings are delicious. Their servings are filling. You will enjoy your meal at this location. read more

Easter 2022-WOW!! What a delicious meal on a special day. I had one of many holiday special choices today. Soup, salad and pudding accompanied 2 thick pork chops that were cooked to perfection with a cranberry apple sauce. Potatoes, stuffing, vegetables and side gravy completed the entree. Got food poisoning there. Definitely give it go if you want to lose a few pounds fast and don't share a bathroom. Avoid the chili burger at all costs. It even looked terrible but to not be rude, I ate it. I second the review that said their meat tasted like tough leather. Big mistake. They also serve their apple pie cold and when asked to warm it, the waitress looked utterly shocked and said we usually serve the pie cold. I don't know who eats ice cold pie in the winter, but if that's your jam, then is the place for you. Saving y'all the trouble. Don't say you weren't warned. read more

An old fashion diner Dietz is a diner that has been around for a while and looks it, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It has that old fashion and very cool diner ambiance that probably hasn't changed in quite a while. The rather odd name comes from the fact that there is a stadium nearby and of course the diner does get insanely crowded after games at the stadium but most of the time the diner is a quiet and pleasant place to eat. It has typical diner food at very reasonable prices. A great place to get a traditional breakfast of omelets, pancakes or muffins and lots of inexpensive burgers and sandwiches for lunch and dinner. Definitely not a place to go for gourmet or fancy food or décor. A simple place that has been serving inexpensive and good food for a long time. read more

Have been to this diner many times, never had any issues until yesterday. Went at about 11pm with friends, service was fast and efficient, drinks were alright, but the food this time was terrible. No seasoning, and the way it was prepared, part of my food was clearly left over and microwaved. the ONLY reason I have given this diner 3 and not 2 stars is because MOST of the time everything is good, it is a good diner. read more

Great place for early breakfast on cold morning. Coffee has something fierce, tastes great: even more after refills. Large menu and big amounts of calories for price value.. Had Philly Cheesesteak with au jus, very tender and flavorful. Left very satisfied and full! Gets busy around lunch time. read more

It also seems like a place that should be crowded but wasn't. Coffee was self service. They also had a pumpkin pie in a plastic container (didn't look homemade) in the front. For those who believe that sharing is caring when eating out, this might be for you! However, Mirador is one of those places where you look behind the menu and expect more options. This loosely inspired Andalucian spot offers selections way smaller than a typical tapa- but, in so saying, it's much loved for the vibe and menu. Although Mirador has accepted the Andalucian way, the food culture hasn't made its way to the menu and missed the mark on some heavy-duty Spaniard ingredients such as garbanzos, GARLIC, shrimp, etc. And while we're having that conversation, our "sangria" wasn't what we expected and made with tequila ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. We could barely taste the 4 tiny slivers of fluke crudo underneath a big citrusy and icy/foamy cloud topping and the same with the Chanterelles in our croquettes. If you want your customers to leave fast, then serve smaller-than-typical-tapas. The biggest tapa for us was a thinly sliced fennel+green salad in a refreshing dressing. If you want to sop up some bread in shrimp+ garlicky oil- none of the classic tapas are here. On the flip side, you come to Mirador because they do a terrific job of bringing people together over super lite and inventive bites and sips.

Went in on Veteran's Day an 86 yr old man was walking around showing off a case which held medals from 3 wars! At check out after he left I said to the older woman at the counter you aren't giving any discount/free meals to our Vets today and she replied if he wanted a discount he should've asked I replied you should be ashamed of yourself he came in here patronized your restaurant made it possible for everyone in this country to be free and lived through 3 wars and that's your attitude of which I was told if you're so concerned than you should've paid! This is not the closest diner to where my family's house is, whenever I am in the area I always come here. The staff are extremely friendly and you get that classic diner experience from the moment you walk in and see the interior. Overall, the food is also really good and the prices are very cheap compared to diners in the area where I live in NYC. Anytime I am in the area I will continue to come back here. read more
