Around the time that was quoted, I got a call stating, in very clear terms, what was wrong, what options there were to fix it, and how it affected my car. They also quoted me a very reasonable price. I okay-ed the work by phone. When the work was near completion, Andrew returned to my home and shuttled me back to the shop. Rick explained everything in detail and answered my questions. As a car-dumb woman, I was very impressed with the overall air of knowledge and courtesy that was given. The guys are clean cut and the waiting is comfortable and quiet. Live in Sugar Land and drove 30 minutes to take my car here. Had no idea what was wrong with it. They figured out what was wrong from scratch (even gave me a discount on a rental) and I had my car back the next day! Very friendly and GREAT customer service. Being a younger girl who has no idea what was even going on I was hesitant to take my car to any place for fear of being run over and told that there were a million things wrong that HAD to be fixed and then charged an arm and a leg. I found this place on Yelp and decided to try it out. I needed a transmission service and called in. Conley was very detailed when I asked him what the transmission service included. The price was quite a bit higher than your normal transmission service but for good reason. Dillon's uses a machine that flushes your entire transmission system. This was completed in about two hours and my truck now shifts like butter. This place is very customer service oriented and has a great waiting area with cable TV and air conditioning. The bathrooms were very clean and the people were great. Try these guys out as they are top notch! read more

Wish I knew this place earlier! They are courteous, professional, honest and very knowledgeable, making customer very comfortable. A while ago, my car was due to brake pad/rotor replacement per dealer, which is estimated $1200. I took the car to Dillon to give it try, and they measured the thread and recommended brake pad replacement but resurfaced the rotor, plus other minor maintenance items, resulting in $400ish. Other than saving big money for us, the best part is I feel car's performance much better than before, brake is very responsive and giving break at right time/distance. It drives very smoothly now and we both feel the big difference. Recently my car has several maintenance codes on, dealer quotes $400ish over the phone. I let Dillon to take care of it straightly, which cost less than $100, which I thought to hear it wrong but IT IS less than $100. I had an unpleasant experience with my local dealership recently, so I decided to try out Dillon's for some factory scheduled maintenance my car needed. The experience was great! Very friendly and helpful staff and they were even kind enough to advise me that I didn't even need one of the services (brake fluid replacement) my car's maintenance minder indicated and that I wouldn't need that service for another 15,000 miles. This is a pretty big deal as many other places would have simply performed the service anyway to make extra money. I normally dread the process of finding a new automotive shop to place my trust in when getting my car serviced. With my car hitting the 100K mark and my HUD notifying me it was time to change the timing belt, I knew that moment had come since this was the first major service outside of my warranty that I would need completed. I no longer have a reason to feel dread now that I've found Dillon's Automotive. I located them by using the new, nifty "Request a Quote" feature embedded within Yelp. Dillon's Automotive's response was quick - I was contacted by Corey within an hour - and friendly/informative. Corey spoke with me about my service needs and gave me a verbal quote over the phone. The quote was much more affordable than many of the other shops that responded to my quote request, including the dealership where the car was purchased. I also appreciated that Corey explained "options" to me while having my engine open doing the timing belt service instead of "recommendations". I understand the need for a business to up-sell, but this felt much more like they were trying to be helpful by providing me options to consider to potentially save me labor costs over the long-term. I told Corey that I'd plan for just the timing belt service for the time being and we'd talk about the options once they had a chance to look at the areas - tensioner and/or camshaft seals - in person to discern whether service would be needed. There was no aggressive follow-up or "recommending", just a "Sounds good, your copy of the quote is on the way." Shortly thereafter, I received an e-mailed quote detailing the main service and all of the information that might be related to the other areas as well. It was displayed very intuitively and was easy to read and understand. They also worked with me to provide a free loaner car I could use while my car was being serviced, which is a unique and awesome perk in my experience. The service was done extremely quickly and well. I also received a call from the mechanic while they were in-process to inform me that the camshaft seals looked good and that the tensioner was functioning properly. No pressure was felt to have these serviced - these people are HONEST and INFORMATIVE. Thank you so much for breaking the stereotype. I will certainly be recommending this company to friends/family in the future for all non-warranty service needs, and I will be returning if my Chevy Cruze is in need of anything in the future. I used these guys based on the very positive internet reviews, their proximity to where I lived, their professionalism shown on the phone when I explained the nature of the problem I'd had with my car, and based on the fact that they provide a shuttle service for customers within Katy. I had a known issue with my car's power steering, and described on two separate occasions over the phone (first time was before I'd sourced the parts and the second time was to a very courteous gentleman called Jesse). Both employees stopped to check on the computer and told me separately that this would have been a 1.5 hr job to replace my power steering pump and power steering reservoir. I went so far as to call a competitor to ask the repair time for these parts and they told me the same time, though their labour rate/hr was a bit higher than Dillon's. Once I made the decision to take my car there, however, is where my good experience ended. Within a couple of hours of dropping my car off, they called me to advise that to replace both the pump and the reservoir would take an extra hour...this was despite the fact that I handed them a new pump AND the reservoir that same morning and asked them how long it would take and what it would cost to replace them BOTH. Now with my cost having gone up by over $110, but not wanting to lose extra time to try to find another mechanic, I agreed. Later their technician called and told me that I had a "Huge" oil leak and that my low oil light was on. I was told it would take $20 to reset the light and it would require further evaluation to see how much it would cost to fix the leak. I have been aware of this issue for some time which is actually a minor leak, as I change the oil myself, and my previous mechanic from my old town had told me it was very minor so I decided to play along. I told them to leave the low oil light as it is (as I know how to reset it), and since I use a special synthetic oil i told them not to top up the oil. Knowing that I'd changed the oil only 1800 miles / two months ago, I waited until I got to their shop and found that there was no low oil warning light on. When i asked the tech what happened he said it must have just gone away on its own. I then checked the dipstick in front of them. The oil level was exactly what it should have been and never changed for 2 months and asked the technician to explain to me again how could there be such a terrible leak but the oil level not drop in two months nor did the car leave oil on my garage floor. Then he decided to tell me that there was "evidence of a leak" on the engine body but agreed that if the oil level never dropped, then it couldn't have been that "Huge" as he told me. I can't comment on the reviews of others, but here it is they dealt with a customer who probably knows his car a bit better than the average car owner, and this put me in a position to be able to see beyond their courtesy and professional look on the surface - I am 100% certain that they embellished the issues with the oil leak and the oil light based on my explanation above and now strongly suspect that their replacement time estimate of the power steering pump and reservoir was either deliberately low in order to get me to come to their shop or I was charged for time that they didn't spend on my car's repair. I have to say that I much prefer the Spanish speaking mechanic in my old town with the dirty shop that I could barely understand, but who was honest with me! read more

Took my Dodge Ram 1500 to have its A/C checked out. The charge for that was $50. Very reasonable. As an ex mechanic I know what to watch out for in an auto shop. To my surprise this place lives up to its yelp reputation. Rather then having to wait hours for someone to look at my vehicle they had their driver take me home. over 10 miles away. Once they called me and told me what was going on I had to decline service to the vehicle as it's just is not in my budget at this time. The quoted price was with in reason just over $500. Since the AC works intermittently it was the deciding factor to forgo the repairs today. I just want to thank Dillon's for its help and honesty in service. Although my husband had diagnosed the problem, the shop ran tests, ignored what he asked to be repaired, and told us the problem was something else. Being that my wife and I are new to the area, I chose Dillon's Automotive based solely on great reviews. I made it clear to them that I needed our vehicle to be properly serviced for the safety of my wife and our daughter. From the exchanges with Corey via email as well as the moment I arrived and spoke with Rick, I knew I made the right choice. Corey reassured me that they would do a complete and thorough inspection of the vehicle and service it as needed. When meeting with Rick, he in turn listened to everything I said with regards to the vehicle as well as patiently stepping me through the process, answering my questions and letting me know they would be in touch soon. I received calls from Jesse as well as Rick and several exchanges with Corey via email. As it turned out, after completing all work I had requested, the lead technician discovered a leak in a couple of hoses. After alerting me to this issue, we chose to have the hoses replaced which would take an extra day. Instead of assuming I would want that extra work done or worse, the technician not catching the leak or ignoring it, everyone involved made sure the problem was fixed completely. On top of that, both Rick and Corey were apologetic for the delay. After our experience with Dillon Auto, my wife and I can rest easy knowing we have a place to take our vehicles. That we are dealing with forthright individuals who stand behind their work. Who are honest and knowledgable. Most of all, the professionalism exhibited by Corey, Rick, Jesse and the staff of technicians is exactly the way a business should be run. I was a bit skeptical at first to see so many excellent ratings - sometimes it just seems fishy, but NO!! This place truly is excellent. I highly recommend going here if you need car work. Our car was dropped off by the tow truck late at night and we had our car back by the end of the next day - less than 24 hours!! The price was quite reasonable as I have a European car that often runs very pricey, it was nice to hear a reasonable number! When I went to pay I was provided with great detail to what they did to my car and reassured me it was fixed. The customer service was excellent as well - their mommas raised these guys right! We had recently moved from WA 4 months ago, and had to get some repairs done on my 2006 BMW 325i ( Fan was making a loud noise). I have always taken all my previous BMWs to the Dealership in Seattle. They are known for their service and integrity. Based on my experiences with BMW Dealership on Katy Freeway, I decided to go out of my comfort zone to a non BMW Service Station. After several hours of deliberating, sent a Yelp request to Dillon. Corey the owner responded promptly. The best part is that they called me back later in the day with all the repairs that need to be done and those that can wait. They did not upsell me on any unnecessary repairs. Can't recommend this place enough and I'll tell you exactly why. AC wasn't blowing cold air so went to louetta automotive first as it was very close to the house. They said the compressor was shot and would have to change it and a few other items. Total cost would be around $2000. Called the Honda dealership and they quoted roughly the same price. Went to Dillon's and had them check it out. They said the compressor is getting old but working and it was actually the relay that was bad. They replaced it for $35!!! They did say that long term the compressor was going to have to be replaced at some point. Main thing is they knew what they were talking about and gave me the choice.
