I want to thank Dillon Automotive for there sincere honest when they evaluated my maserati ghibli I originally brought my car to be looked at for vibration on the steering wheel when I drove at a certain speed. Instead of them saying anything that would benefit them financially for any repairs they told me the honest truth that it was my left front wheel that was warped that caused the vibration It's so hard to find a trustworthy automotive shop in today's competitive market. I took my daughters car to another Katy area chain repair shop. They quoted us over $2000 for work, some of which had nothing to do with the symptoms we brought the car in for. After paying $135 "Diagnostic" fee, I took the car to Dillon's. They were able to fix the problem within a couple of hours and the total bill was less than $200. I have never found a finer automotive repair center as Dillon's Automotive. This place is first class all the way. From the experience with the service writers, technicians, the shuttle driver, and one of the owners, Corey, I was blown away. Even the restroom and lounge are five star! This business prides itself on customer satisfaction and experience. I recently had to take my 2011 Ford F-250 Diesel in for a repair. I immediately felt at ease after speaking with Corey and the service writer. They investigated the issue, resolved the issue, all at a reasonable price and lower than what I was quoted at a competitor. There is nobody I have found that competes with the service and professionalism they offer. I will certainly return for any future automotive needs and refer all my friends and family. read more

Dillons is right around the corner from my house so I found the shop by accident. I drove through epoxy (!) with my Porsche 911 and Corey spent hours and hours figuring out how to clean it and not damage the paint. This week I ended up with a flat and fortunately was right by the shop so I stopped in. They found me a tire, took me home, and fixed the car. The waiting area is clean and comfortable, the people are extremely friendly and courteous, and truly care about your car. Excellent service! All I had to go on was Yelp to find an auto shop so I was a bit nervous as we had a lot that needed to be done to the car. I asked for a quote and called a few places around and they're price was fair. I decided to have the work done here and I'm glad I did. They even adjusted some screws that had been overlooked at the dealership at no charge, it was the thought that counted for me and that showed me how great they treat their customers. They didn't even try to upsell me on anything or scare me into thinking the car was going to fall apart. Very ethical. While I was waiting for the car at one point, I overheard two separate customers complimenting them and expressed their appreciation for the way they do business. Took my truck there for several things... oil change, state inspection, brake inspection, and squealing noise which sounded to me like the belt tensioner. They inspected the brakes and said they were fine. Found the squeal to be the belt, not the tensioner. Now, they could have nuked me had they wanted to. They could have said my brakes were shot, tensioner shot, etc. Repair could have been hundreds more than what it really was. Looks like I've finally found an honest mechanic shop I can trust. Instead we got a coupon in the mail and went to Drivers Auto, where they lied to us, cheated out of over $2000 and never got my truck fixed right. Dillions is the complete opposite, they were up front and honest and took care of me when I needed it the most. Just had my vehicle inspected to see what it needed to be brought up to date in terms of service recommendations. I received a detailed report of the services/repairs needed and explanation of each one. Moreover, where each one ranked in terms of importance (e.g., some could wait, whereas others were suggested to get done soon). Over all, a very good experience. The office was clean, the vehicle center was clean, and the people were all friendly. Best of all, the cost of the inspection was 50% less than what a well-known Toyota dealership in the area was going to charge. read more

Taking his advice I didn't end up getting anything repaired. He could have easily got a sale out of me, but he gave me an honest, professional opinion that didn't' warrant a sale. Cory, Thank you for the response. I am first checking this site and just seeing your reply. I do appreciate your attention and offer to remedy the situation by removing the part and returning my money. There is SOME value in your work as I do now get more functionality out of the rear unit, middle vents only, and NOTHING from the far rear! Was this worth $350 and would I have authorized the repairs if I had known...NO! In fact, I stated this MULTIPLE TIMES to your shop, first over the phone, second time was in person. The problems I still have with your response are the following: I don't believe the "honesty" aspect of what your mechanic claims. What mechanic assumes I am satisfied spending money for something that is not really needed with the front working perfectly? Especially since I explicitly told him what the issues were with the far rear unit. I also told him the front seemed to work fine and cooled the first two sections well, but to verify since they would be checking the system anyway. I also know the middle and rear vents were putting out some air, it was just minimal and not cold. The air volume does not seem to have changed after your repairs, but it is colder from the middle vents. When I stated before authorizing that I did not want to spend any money unnecessarily, requiring me to spend a $1000 later, the issue not being 100% fixed, etc...how can you defend your mechanic assuming? It does not make sense and is not reasonable or believable. It is obvious, the mechanic either did not test adequately, or did and realized the results would be unacceptable and hoping I did not realize. Your remedy to require the mechanics to identify any issues immediately was a good one as it now forces them to test and communicate final state accurately and completely. Unfortunately, this "rule" should have been in place initially or the mechanic have the integrity to proactively take these measures themselves. It is obvious, after all! The second problem I have is that your mechanics should be more knowledgeable about other possible defects which could cause the issue, preventing 100% satisfaction of repairs, communicate these possibilities to the customer, and recommend a course of action. A 5-star shop would say, "based on our experience, you may have rotted ducts that are not fixable and will not satisfy your desire for a fully functional far rear unit. We do not recommend fixing it!" A 5-star shop would then say, "we can customize a new duct for you, if the other is rotted, but it will cost $1000 plus the cost of the capacitor of $350. It will fully resolve and correct your far rear unit issue." A 3-star shop would alert the customer to all potential defects preventing fixing the issue and recommending to not repair...while not being able to customize a duct fix. I'm sorry, Cory, I believe you are probably a nice and reputable man but you have mechanics that are not honest and/or not experienced enough to warrant a high-end shop. Your "manager" also lacks the necessary skills for a 3-5 star shop. Finally, I suggest you don't reflexively place the "honesty" label on your mechanics when you may be wrong and it also appears to put the onus back on the customer. Additionally, It opens the possibility that your mechanic may be honest but may have very poor communication skills and did not hear/understand your customers concerns and the customer directions accurately. Either way, it is NOT GOOD! read more
