Three of us stopped here on out way out of the Keys on New Year's Day. We stopped at another establishment, but it was closed. We are so happy we found Dillon's. The good was spectacular. Two of us had soup, which was piping hot. We also got the spinach dip appetizer that was the best we had ever had. Allison was our server and could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. This is our favorite Pub in the upper keys. I love all their food. My favorite is the French Onion soup and Thai snapper salad. My husband usually has the the Chilli and they have great salads, like the seared tuna. Don't forget to order the warm pudín bread which is to die for. I really enjoy coming to this place. read more

Waited 1 hour for our food. No explanations AS TO WHY. We were ignored after we asked about the status of our food. We FINALLY got our food. Food was ok. Nothing special. We dine a lot....and this has to be top 3 THE WORST SERVICE. AFter we got our food I needed a drink, our waitress (or lack there of) was no where to be found. I walked up to the bar to get a Diet Coke - the rude blonde bartender rudely told me she would send our waitress to our table - I asked her "can you please give me a Diet Coke?" She rudely said "No!" Dillons is a solid and consistent restaurant and is certainly a nicer atmosphere now that it is non-smoking. The grouper basket and grouper Reuben are classics and are typically our go-to meals. You can sub for sweet potato fries for an extra $1 too, which is always an added benefit. The service is usually quite slow though -- this last time we had two servers, and still wound up with three or four water cups bone dry not even half way into dinner. This sandwich is amazing! A generous and Crispy grouper portion between Reuben bread topped with coleslaw, the flavors mix just right on your mouth, sweet bread, crispy grouper and crunchy coleslaw. Additional tip: get onion petals to pair you sandwich. About the venue, has character, nice ambiance, friendly and smiling people (is the norm at the keys) the bar is ample and cozy to eat, have a drink and enjoy a nice conversation with a new or old friend. I had dinner at Dillon's the other night the Buffalo shrimp were the best ever and the grouper thai salad was delicious.

Consistently good food in a perfect Irish pub atmosphere. Dillon's has been around a long time and it's easy to see why. Daily specials include things like shepherd's pie and meatloaf, but since they're in the Keys, they also have lots of fresh fish options. I had their Key Largo fish sandwich for about $13 and it was awesome. A generous portion of blackened Mahi with American cheese and tomato on Texas toast. Delish. The fillet was juicy and just spicy enough to add irresistible flavor. You also can choose one side. I chose potato salad, which was sweeter than expected and loaded with big hunks of potato. I'd get it again. My bro had crunchy Thai grouper, three big pieces of fish coated in coconut and fried crispy. The appetizer portion was $12.99. And their chicken wings are always great. We had them naked and crispy with sauce on the side, but their jerk version is probably my fav. Dillion's is a fun place to catch a game as they have multiple TVs -- and the bartenders and servers are super friendly. read more

I came here with my boyfriend for lunch and the food was great. Service was exceptional and the staff was so friendly. The french onion soup had great flavor. Perfectly salted and the broth was nice and hot. The chicken caesar wrap was perfect. The chicken was moist, did not have too much dressing, and the lettuce was fresh. Good food full service bar, lots of tv but there are a couple of bartenders that have an attitude, I'm actually boycotting them right now because a bartender was very rude to my dear friend on three consecutive visits and we live 2 minutes away and were regulars. St. Patty's Day in Tavernier. Celebrated FL Keys style and had a great time! Although it was St. Patty's Day and super packed, our group of 6 was seated quickly. We were quickly attended to by a few different people who worked very well together, and were all super friendly and provided excellent service despite how busy it was. I had my very first Irish car bomb. It was da bomb. I followed it with a pint of green beer which was nice and cold and very green. My friend and I (shout out to Jose D.) decided to split the crunchy grouper basket. It was served really hot and fresh, and it was so dang crispy and delicious. I couldn't stop thinking about it for the next few days (and now I'm thinking about it again as I'm writing this review, agh, so good). Can't wait to have it again. The food was absolutely excellent. There was a band playing and they were awesome! Everyone was pumped and having a great time. My entire experience at Dillon's was fantastic. Awesome food, awesome service, awesome vibes, and cold beer. Can't ask for more! read more

Went in here for an Irish food fix in the keys and was not disappointed. The restaurant is a good size and decorated with the Irish theme. I came with a group of friends and even though we were a large party we were sat right away. The wait staff was very attentive and made sure to always ask if we needed anything. Everyone there would rotate so we had a couple of people attending to us and all of them were quite cheerful. We decided to go all out and started with some Irish car bombs which were made perfectly. For my meal I decided to get the crunchy grouper which was just the right amount of crispy. The servings were a good size so some people might get away with sharing one. read more

This spot is so good. It's a local staple for watching the game, grabbing a hearty meal during the workday, or meeting up with friends. There's always a game on the TV and daily specials that will knock your socks off. I say Dillon's has the best wings in town, hands down. The crisp on them is perfect with the tangy sauce. The Irish bulldog (a sausage covered with mashed potato) is filling and delicious. The buffalo chicken wrap is also super tasty and big enough to feed me for 2 meals. Rudest bartender I've ever met. Had a problem 10 mins after 11pm with one 10 year old and 6 adults (prior to 11pm, no problem). Kicks us out, then decides serving water disguised as lemon drops would make it all better in her Eastern Europe accent. After we leave, Eastern European accents all over the parking lot. Good bar food (burger and fries), cheap, and fast. Nice staff. Didn't get 5 stars bc of the smoking. Florida passes nonsmoking laws and I expect to eat in a non smoking environment. I won't be back but if eating in a smoky restaurant is your thing then Dillon's is your place. read more

So we stopped in for lunch here with the kids. Kids menu is literally 3 items only so don't expect much. They shared the 1/2 rack of baby back ribs which were great and they devoured. Meat was fall off the bone. We ordered a French onion soup to start and that was also really tasty. My husband and I share the Jamaican jerked wings which were also very good. We had Buffalo sauce on the side. Our celery and carrots never came and neither did one of our drinks . Cons were- very slow service and missing items. There was only 2 servers in the whole place and it was too much for them during the busy Monday lunch rush. I would come here again though. read more

It is a little hard to find if you pull in the front enterance. it is on the S side of the plaza behind the Subway/Dominos pizza. Service was very good , I was in a group I had a burger it was really good,grilled grouper was simple and tasty and BLT had allot of bacon. The fries were really good. The best thing besides how nice and polite the staff is, the food and drinks are great with normal prices, they don't practice price gouging just because you are in the FLA Keys, love Dillon's and they got a great liquor store next door. Super disappointed in the service. We have been coming here for 15 years several time a week. There have been three incidents in the last year with a specific bartender who does not like to be told his drinks are subpar. All the other tenders are amazing, friendly and make the drinks correctly time and time again. But this one refuses to make the drink tasty and debates to us the customer. What happens to the customer always being right??? Non the less he was very reluctant to remove the drink that was returned off our bill and instructed the server to tell us we can't order that specific drink from him again. What a way to treat your locals. read more

I live in the keys and as such have tried many a restaurant here due to the lack of other things to do. Something I have noticed in many places is the lack of consistency and quality, mostly because they are tourist traps. Dillons, however, is consistently good and enjoyable. They do pub food well. The chicken tenders are crispy and juicy, the fries are always acceptable to good, and the potato skins heal my misery. The environment is good and it focuses on being a local restaurant than a keys focused trap. Overall, it's 4/5 as the food is good and healing, but not exceptiona. it'll get you fed and happy for the time and that's all it needs to do. read more
