    Salad and veggie options

I love going to a buffet for the simple reason that it's ALL you can eat. I don't need to "agonize" over what to order. On the flip side, the fear of overeating sometimes makes me think twice. But dimassis's is one of those places I don't have to worry about consuming more than I should. They have a good variety of salads and veggies! I've been to this place many times with my friends and family. I always go for their salads. I'm not very picky about salads. So they all look to me. I love their parsley salad and green salad. There is also a good selection of hummus. I love beets. Their chunky, blood red beet is a must for me. To go with my veggies, I always get at least a bowl of their soup. Lentil soup is my favorite, which is very savory. Of course, I won't pass up their pita bread, fresh and fluffy. As to meat options, I like their grilled tilapia, gyros, and chicken kabobs. They are all very delicious! For beverages, I love their rose tea, which I rarely see at other Mediterranean restaurants. To conclude my meal, I get their signature and my favorite dessert, baklava. It's very nutty, but not too sweet. I usually get at least a couple to satisfy my sweet tooth! This place is quite big. I never have any trouble getting a table even for a large party. The service there is fine. Since it's buffet style, you basically serve yourself. So I have no complaints :)

Good buffet spot. Clean, spacious and a large selection of meats and various salads. I'd say it's one of the better buffet spots around town. Everything is self serve and you pay upon entering. They have a few different types of chicken dishes and kebab/gyro type meats. Also a few different selections of rice and traditional pita bread. Not bad at all and recommend if you can handle all the food.

4 stars, could be 5 but needs some improvement. The man at the front, super not friendly. I have gone here many times, never friendly, he doesn't even smile. They have gloves which is nice when handling all the food spoons. Great array of salads and cold sides. I do wish they had more of Greek style tzatziki. They have a cucumber yogurt dip but it's not the best when you are a tzatziki lover. The food is decently flavorful some things are better than others. I enjoy having options. I had salsa with sides and pita. After that chicken, two different styles. They are cooked well. I tried the fried chicken but not a fan. Then I had some lentil soup which is good and not salty. The rice and veggies are good, I wish they had some sautéed onions in with the veggies or on their own. I ended with a tasting of their desserts (forgot to take pic) which are good. Rice pudding was empty and it was 8:30 so I wish there would have been some. They even have ice cream but have to ask for that. It was a Saturday and the cost was $26 with tax. I think it's worth that, they do have a luch price during the week. Lots of seating, accommodates big parties, kid friendly.

It's a buffet so ambiance is so so and it's self service. Not the best Mediterranean food I've had but it's unlimited and if you're not craving anything particular it's the way to go. There baba ghanous, garlic sauce and gyro are my personal faves. Load up on their meats and dips- skip the dessert in my opinion.

Wow that's about all I can say, the food was absolutely delicious, from the Hummus to the lamb shank and even biryani just incredible the pita is stone hearth cooked and the lemonade with mint!!!!!!! I don't find many places like this at home so I can't wait to be back In the area to eat here again. I can't recommend this place enough!!!! Incredibly clean and very nice staff so glad I was recommended this place!!! Sam at the front hooked me up with the best lamb shank I've had in years !!!

Ask the Community - Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet

Hi. My kid is allergic to some oils. Is there ingredient list of the mils?

    Nobody knows what you're asking.

What is your brand of chicken is it hand cut halal?

Do you have any dessert options for vegans?

    No why would they.

Do you make your hummus in house and is your feta cheese pasteurized (safe for pregnant women)?

Yes we do. Our Feta cheese is made out of pasteurized whole milk.

No one answers call wonder if it open for dinner today as 5/5/2021 ? What's the price?

Try going in and asking next time.

Are you currently open for self serve buffet and able to dine in?

Yes we are. Bring your mask and you’re good to go...looking forward to seeing you!

    Is it 100% halas?

I talked to owner of this place he was truly religious man. I do not think he will use non halal meat. You can call and ask.

What meats do you serve on your buffet?

Kafta kabobs, chicken kabobs, gyro, grilled chicken, shredded beef, meat balls, fried chicken, fried fish, baked fish and lamb shanks.

Is it still self serve buffet or have they changed the set-up so that only the employees are touching the utensils?

Hi Melanie. It is still self serve, however, it is mandatory for everyone prior to touching the utensils to use hand sanitizer and wear gloves. Sanitizer and gloves are provided at multiple spots. In addition, social distancing, table separation,… Read more

Can you bring your own alcohol beverage?

Unfortunately, alcohol beverages are not allowed inside the restaurant.

In one of the pictures I saw a sign that said "take all you want but eat all you take" and there was a sur charge per lb. Does that mean you get to take what you don't eat home at that charge?

I didn't see anyone enforcing this rule. Also, I didn't see boxes for "to-go". The food was delicious and I'd recommend checking them out. Just don't be wasteful and you'll be just fine. :)

Do you serve just one lamp shank for each visitor?

Nobody knows what a lamp shank is.

Anyone know if there are vegan options?

Yes. Most Mediterranean vegetarian food is also vegan. Stuffed grape leaves, hummus, tabbouleh, fattoush, etc. Just don't eat the items with feta cheese like the Greek salad.

Are there items that are completely dairy-free (no milk, butter, cheese, yogurt, etc)? If so, what are the examples of these dairy-free foods? Are there signs on the buffet or do we have to ask the kitchen?

It is easier to list the Items with dairy products (contain milk, butter or yogurt): Spinach with Feta cheese, chicken Kabob, grilled chicken, pasta salad, Greek salad, rice pudding, tatziki sauce, yogurt with cucumbers sauce, namora and coconut… Read more

What's the difference between weekday and weekend dinner? Just wondering about the price difference?…

Wk days dinner: $12.72 + tax Weekend and Friday dinner: $14.77 + Tax

    Is this BYOB?

Although there is no specified prohibition to BYOB, the owners and staff are Muslim and alcohol is forbidden by their religion. To bring alcohol to DiMassi's would be disrespectful in my opinion.

What is the dinner price? Also is there a kids price?

Lunch price Monday-Friday.... $11.99 + tax Dinner price Monday-Thursday...$12.92 + tax Weekend price… Read more

What's the price for kids? Also, is there lamb curry? If so, is it available all week long or only…

    It is all included.

The tempura was old and chewy as was most of the hot food items. Service was fine, nothing amazing and nothing terrible. When we went back for a second plate around 8:00, they were already breaking down the buffet and putting food away. That was a letdown. No hot food was being restocked, and teppanyaki and hot pot were no longer options. The sushi selection was mostly empty too. For clarification, they don't close until 9:00. The food we did get tasted okay, but nothing stood out or made me want to rush back. On the bright side, the restaurant and restrooms were clean, so at least that part was solid. Overall, it felt less like an all you can eat experience and more like "a you should have gotten there an hour earlier experience." Perhaps my least favorite part of the evening was the relentless ringing of bellhop bells behind both the hot food and sushi counters. They clanged nonstop to summon servers, turning the entire dining experience into an 80s montage where the "Better Off Dead" paperboy keeps circling your table on his bike, dead-eyed, ringing his bell, demanding his two dollars. This is a very generous three stars, given with kindness and lowered expectations.

Our waitress was very attentive from the beginning and offered enthusiastic recommendations. Our pork bone broth was delicious and we tried many kinds of meat and add ins, and they were great with sane portions. Didn't really feel like we missed out on anything by not buying the extra charge items and we both filled up quickly. There's little desserts at the sauce bar, and also a few things off the menu. We tried them all and found them neutral overall in flavor; nothing impressive, but still pleasant. The difficult thing about this place is the price. A few $ more than Seapot, but you also have to pay for broth, which can add up to $14 more PER broth, which is why bf and I only got one. So while I'd say this place was very good, Seapot is better value and would be my choice over this place. However, bf and I agreed that this place is definitely a better choice over Hai Di Lao.

The house spicy broth was very spicy and gave me a small bout of diarrhea a few hours later. I will stick to the pork broth next time. We ordered lamb, pork belly, beef belly, and beef tongue. We also ordered squid, octopus, and quail egg. They put a cart by our table to put all our meat and sides on, which was nice. The sauce was alright. They had soy sauce, vinegar, shacha (Chinese bbq) sauce, and sesame oil. My bf did not like the shacha sauce. When one person on the table ordered a (non water) drink, everyone on the table was expected to get one. I just got water though, because all their drinks were sugary.

The concept was a delight, all you can eat course dining where you can try everything and order more of what you like. When you sit down, they bring each of the four course out in full to your table and give you time to enjoy each plate. The first course was a simple course of a light cheese dumpling soup and warm fresh bread with a variety of spreads. We found this course an excellent introduction and the soup was exceptionally executed. The second course was a course of appetizers. This is the course we liked the best, the large number of small plates really made the meal feel lavish and each dish was high quality and made with care. I loved the grilled cheese and the spiced apple sauce served with the chicken was delicious. The third course was the entree course, consisting of a number of grilled steaks, poultry, and pasta dishes. The chicken was a bit salty for my tastes but the pasta and the steaks were competently prepared. Lastly, the fourth course was a delightful dessert consisting of flan, chocolate mousse, and a passion fruit mousse. The passion fruit mousse was especially good, but I think each of the desserts worked well to balance each other out. I would like to see dessert with some more variety of texture. The service was perfect, our waiters came around at just the right times and took care to tell us about the dishes on offer. I was equally impressed with the atmosphere. Overall, the dinner price is a little steep, but I think it is well worth it. We will certainly be returning!

It's a bit of a Brazilian steakhouse style (stuff is brought around and you say if you want some of it) and them bringing you the most massive amount of plates that you can ask to refill infinitely. Our bread, soup, and appetizer courses were highlights. The bread was great with multiple spreads, the soup was cooked perfect, and most of the appetizers had a unique twist and quality taste. We enjoyed our steaks and pasta enough, but some were just not worthwhile in small ways--there was a flavorless four cheese pasta for example, and the garlic parm chicken was somewhat salty. The picanha was a bit tough on the outside but perfect inside. None of it was blowing my socks off, but definitely on the good side. Lastly, our dessert course was wonderful. All 3 were perfect, and we were told by I presume the manager to focus on the passion fruit one, which was stellar. If I returned, I'd be interested in trying a fun drink. They have several non alcoholic options that caught my eye. We were very well waited on, and never were left wanting or waiting. The manager himself came around several times and chatted with us a bit. I wish the water glasses were larger so I wasn't pouring constantly, but that's a small gripe. Overall, we enjoyed it here and are already thinking of friends and family to bring next time!
