One of my favorite restaurants. The food here is just about perfect. They start you out with a nice little plate of cheese and olives and a basket of bread. Be careful not to fill up on it because it is tempting but then you would miss out on the wonderful meal you are about to be served. I have had their pasta, their chicken and some other dishes too and while I love them all, it is the Chilean Sea Bass that blows me away. The restaurant is pricey but worth every penny. The food and service are wonderful. I am lucky enough to get to go about once a month for work but have splurged on dinner for my husband a few times too. read more

I feel like being a little generous w/ my rating but in reality, my review is a 2.5 - I left a three cause the staff was more or less unnerved by a busy night. Anyhow, i chose to spend Valentines day at Dimora with my company mainly cause the weather was bad & it was close to home; otherwise i would have def went into the city. Got there just in time for 8:45 for our reservation but had to wait 15 min to be seated but they were kind about that. After being seated we were served the customary cheese & meat plate alongside bread which was nice. We started off with the Antipasto Caldo which was pretty much below average to average. Not memorable. One large shrimp with a stuffed scallop & a few small baked clams that didn't taste particularly fresh. For entrees she went with Chilean Sea Bass w/ Clams, Potatoes & String Beans & i went with their "Pasta Diablo" which is Linguini w/ Lobster, Shrimp & Clams - Fra Diavlo Style. Both of these were Specials. I love Chilean Sea Bass & i tried hers & it was really just average. A bit undercooked & lacking in flavor but it was more or less ok paired up with the sides. But in the end a bit underwhelming for a Chilean Sea Bass. The Pasta Diablo was actually pretty good. Very large portion, well seasoned & plenty of Lobster, Shrimp & Clams to go around. Enough to take home too. We passed on dessert so in total there was an app, 2 entrees, 2 glasses of champagne (i had club soda) which led to a bill total of $128. That seemed pretty high, even in comparison to NYC standards. For that reason, i am not sure if i would return. So in total the staff was well organized & friendly on a very busy & hectic night, the appetizer wasn't very memorable, one entree was good & one was average at best & the bill was pretty high. Dimora seems like a nice place to visit, but i don't know if i would have dinner here again, it may be better served for just drinks & an app or two. read more

We came here on a Friday night recently without a reservation, there was 8 of us. Surprisingly they were able to take us , and put us In a semi- private area near the front off the restaurant right off the bar. When they bring out cheese and olives with your bread, you know it's going to be good. The chef came out and told us about his recommendations. We had a number of wait staff attending the table as well, and the service was great. The appetizers and entries were both very very good. As everyone enjoyed their food, I would highly recommend this place. It got very busy that night. Valet parking only. The parking lot ends up looking like an upscale show room, given the surrounding towns. We will definitely go back read more

We visited Dimora last night for the 1st time and WOW!!! I can't believe we've never been here before now. The food and service was 5 stars. My husband and friend had the Veal Osso Bucco and it was unbelievable. I tried a little and it was cooked perfectly. I had the Halibut with pesto special and it was delicious! My friend had the seafood kebab special and the portion was huge. Our waiter was so personable and wonderful. I can't wait to visit again soon. read more

Dimoara is a destination and dining experience. It is neighborhood local that makes everyone feel part of the community and incredibly welcoming to anyone wherever they may be from. The head chef always comes out to shake hands and say hi. Hanging out at the bar before dinner or just a quick drink is always fun, everyone is really friendly because of the vibe the bartenders and hosts curate. The food is amazing, nothing is taken for granted, even a simple plate of pasta is served to perfection. The staff is always accommodating to requests to ensure perfection. Good traditional Italian fare. It is a fancy place, but you can get away with shorts during the summer if your not picky about fitting in. The olives and cheese they give you are great....but make sure they bring you bread sticks. If you order seafood, make sure they don't overcook it. Otherwise, a wonderful place. read more

Came here for family Christmas dinner on a Sunday night. Must say that our experience was excellent. We called last minute and the owner was still able to accommodate us, despite it being a busy night. The valet is fantastic and very friendly. Make sure you guys tip him well. Must be the best valet in all of NJ. The food is also EXCELLENT!! The calamari appetizer is HIGHLY recommended. Tender and the marinade is perfect! I ordered the Osso Bucco which was RIDICULOUS!!! They even give you a small fork to fish out the bone marrow. Only place I've been to that does that. This dish made my month and I'm pretty sure I'll be thinking about it for awhile. My mom ordered the Pappardelle with Brown sauce, which was fantastic.. Noodles cooked perfectly, sauce was savory perfection. My sister ordered the Branzino. They had no problem removing the bones for her, and fish itself was cooked perfectly as well. The only thing I had a problem with was the other patrons sitting next to us on both sides kept looking at us like we did something wrong. Made me feel extremely uncomfortable. But I guess even good restaurants will attract the occasional rude person or two. Maybe the owner squeezed in another table between them before we came? The fried mozzarella was light and fluffy, the tagliatelle with mushrooms special was buttery smooth and beyond delicious, and the homemade tiramisu was excellent. I've been going to Dimora for years. Gino the owner runs a really outstanding restaurant. Almost everything on the menu is amazing. Specifically, nobody and I mean nobody makes better Bronzino than Dimora. It is a must. The pounded veal chop with fontina cheese and brandy sauce is unbelievable. The Dover sole, just try it!. They make you feel glad to be there as soon as you are seated with a complimentary antipasto . Just a really nice touch. It's a family affair and his sons are great. This is my fiancé and I favorite restaurant! We love authentic Italian food and this is the closest to that we have found in the area! They give every table not only bread but antipasto which is amazing! Usually cheese olives salami and prosciutto! The bronzino is de-boned at the front of the restaurant over a fire so it stays hot and it's viable to the guest it's amazing how fast it's done and I never have bones in my fish. I had chicken scarpariello which was mildly garlicky without the customary sausage but was still good. House Cabernet was a little too fruity and not dry for my preference and the house Pinot Grigio was also just ok. The waiter recommended a fresh tiramisu which was truly delicious but when I thanked him for it he got sarcastic. Go figure. Our waitress, who also works at the State Line Diner, was friendly and warm and I hope SHE got my tip! The chef came by to say hello which is always nice and the noise level was tolerable. On the way out a couple breezed by us with the woman saying "you're taking it HOME?!" She said she had the fettuccine Alfredo which was very dry.
