Newer and needs some tweaks before I could honestly give it 5 stars. I would love to see them succeed. I love the concept of this spot and we need more diversity in FTL. Service was ! Comfortable space and fun music was playing. Unfortunately, the food was inconsistent and I am not sure I would go back before trying other spots. We began with the soup dumplings and tried several menu items. The truffle dumpling was beautiful but very overpowering in the truffle, while the Korean beef stir fry was practically flavorless. It was not good. (Sorry!!) it also looked nothing like the picture on the menu and had cabbage instead of scallions. I was left, thinking they must've screwed up my order and shame on me for not saying anything or asking. The vegetable fried rice was very fresh and good. That and the fried mushrooms were the best thing we had. We also enjoyed the duck buns. The other dumplings we tried were all just ok. Nothing I would write home about or order again. With tons of sauces and such they became better, but not what I had hoped.

Dim Sum Terminal--what a hidden gem! My dad lives around the corner and I can't believe I didn't know this place existed. Honestly, I'm a little upset at myself for missing out all this time. Tucked away in a strip mall with plenty of parking, this cozy, well-lit spot feels like a delicious secret. We were greeted by Oliver, who let us in on the best part--it's family-owned. Chef Lola runs the kitchen with love, Katherine makes the desserts, and every dumpling is handmade fresh in-house. The star of the night? The spicy wontons. I've never had anything like them before, and now I can't stop thinking about them. They've officially ruined me for all other wontons. Just go ahead and take my money--I'm a loyal customer for life. And here's the pro tip: save room for Katherine's macarons. She puts a French patisserie to shame. Light, crisp, chewy perfection. Thank you for sharing your craft with us--we truly felt the love in every bite. Fresh dumplings, unforgettable flavors, and desserts worth writing home about... I love DIM SUM TERMINAL.

We had a lovely lunch here. They weren't busy when we stopped by, but I'm sure they will become so once people learn about them. They're located on the north side of Commercial boulevard . You can find them by their address as the signage is not the easiest to see on the upper front of the building. Parking is at the free and metered spots out front. According to Kathryn (who was our server and makes all the desserts and is part of the family owners), they have only been open six weeks. They are still tweaking their menu. After feedback, they are going to be getting their beer and wine license soon plus may add other items to the menu. I suggested soup and while we were there, they decided to try to make some. We couldn't wait until it was done to try it, as we had pressing errands, but we hope it worked out. We had four different dim sum choices. In order of my likes : we loved their signature duck buns with lots of duck meat and crunchy veggies wrapped in the soft and slightly sweet taco like "buns". Then the traditional hargow shrimp dumpling. This is a clearer -- that is more see through -- dough wrapped around a piece of shrimp. Then the classic pork dumplings -- "potstickers" -- that we got pan fried, but these could also be steamed or deep fried. And last the ribs that were steamed with black beans -- my least favorite. The ribs are tiny pieces of meat with fat and bones. It's a bit messy and hard to eat. There are black beans but not really a sauce. I'd skip these next time. There are very few dimsum restaurants on the east side of town. That alone would make them popular, but you will want to try them first for their food and for their unique hand made desserts. We hope to be back soon.

Place is amazing. We order the 2 specials: soup dumplings - chili oil wanton. We continue with the duck bun baos. Fried chicken mala dumplings. For main dish we shared the house seasoned fried shrimp. Everything was phenomenal. For drinks we order the sparkling sake that is a fun jello shot kind of drinks. Definitely will come back. Great food, great service. Missing pictures of what we ate before we realized we needed pics LOL

Just found this new dim sum place. Finally a good dim sum restaurant in Fort Lauderdale! The food was great, everything was fresh, made in house and tasted authentic and fragrant. The waiter was attentive and helpful. I highly recommend it.

Out of all of the South Florida restaurants (and beyond) I've had the pleasure of dining at, I have never wanted to root for more than DimSum Terminal. While doom scrolling on Facebook I came across a glowing review on the Let's Eat South Florida group page. Always on the look out for good buns, my partner and I decided to try it out for our date night. It's located in an unassuming plaza, but the inside is very spacious and clean. We were immediately greeted by staff and given a little call button to let them know when we were ready to order. The menu has a very wide variety of options so we went ham and ordered a few things. When our food was ready, it was delivered via the CUTEST cat robot! I had never seen one in person before and was absolutely delighted. It even responded to pets. Our first dish was the fried mushroom and weirdly enough, it may have been my favorite dish. It was almost like a dupe of calamari, covered with flavorful peppers. We then had the wagyu truffle buns which tasted amazing and (thankfully) didn't go heavy on the truffle. They also had a beautiful gold dust to garnish. Next we had pork belly buns and duck buns. Both were delish, my only recommendation there is to pickle the veggies a little longer but otherwise perfect! Lastly, the macarons. These are made in house by the owners/managers sister. They could very seriously just be their own business and if you're ever looking for a light desert, get a box! They are absolutely friggin adorable and DELICIOUS! I had the tiramisu and my partner had the mint. If I had the room for it, I would have eaten ten myself. Here's our favorite part: the family running it. They were so friendly and kind, giving us recommendations and asking for feedback on the dishes to what they could improve on. We also learned about their background and how the restaurant got started. They have only been open a month and haven't yet gotten the hang of marketing so I IMPLORE YOU, if you're reading this, they absolutely deserve your business and you won't be disappointed. And if you go, please share about your time to get the word out!

    Pork Soup Dumplings my favorite.

When I find a place I like, I make it a point to visit at least three more times--just to ensure consistency. And this spot has not disappointed me! The soup dumplings? Still as delicious as the first time, with the same perfect flavor every visit. The chicken chili oil wontons? Absolutely amazing. And, of course, the vanilla-chocolate macaron? Simply divine. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality and consistency in their dining experience! Lots of pay by phone parking available - Service is friendly.

DimSum Terminal is a great stop for dim sum. My wife and I have been here a number of times and always had a meal that hits the spot and great experience with the service. Everyone is super nice! While everything is yummy, we especially love the crispy fried mushrooms. AND DO NOT FORGET ABOUT THE MACAROONS!!! The macaroons kept up front are an absolute must-try! We get some to take home every time

Stopped in for lunch. Heard good things and was excited to give it a try. Not very busy, just one other table. Restaurant is clean and welcoming. Ordered the following for 2 people. *Scallion pancakes- thin delicious and crunchy! *Soup Dumplings - (3) recommended by server. Good, but not very soupy. *Pork & Shrimp Shu Mai - (5) large pieces. Great flavor *DST Beef Dumplings pan fried - (5) dumplings. Filling was delicious and interesting. First time having corn in beef dumpling. It's was really tasty. *Pork Bun - (3) sweet and savory buns. Light on filling, heavy on dough. Overall good experience. Fairly priced. The adorable mechanical robot delivered food to the table. Fun! I've had better dim sum but it's good for a local spot. I will definitely return.

Went again! The pan-fried dumplings and appetizers were super tasty. Love the chili oil Wonton too! It's on their special, you need to ask for it. And the biggest surprise? They also make handmade macarons that are so different from the usual ones--more like creamy ice cream, seriously a must-try!

They offer dim sum, so we had some roast pork buns as appetizers. The buns had very little filling and the bread was a bit dry, as if the buns had been sitting in the warmer for awhile. (They are displayed in a warmer as you enter the restaurant.) There is no lunch menu on weekends, so we ordered from the regular menu. Prices averaged $17 to $20 per entree with seafood options averaging $23-$25. All meals are served with white rice. There are no options to switch to fried rice, unless you want to order it as an entree. My friend loves orange chicken, so that's what she ordered. Since the eatery is touted for its roast duck and roast pork, I ordered the latter. We shared both. The pork was a bit salty and a tad dry. And it needed more of it's glaze. Though I am not a fan of orange chicken, this was one of the best I have had. It was sweet, but not overly done. And the coating was light and crispy. The portions were large. We both ate and took home leftovers for our husbands. Service was spotty and rushed with only two people taking care of all the tables. I never got a straw for my glass of water, and it took a few requests to get chopsticks. One appetizer, two entrees, tax, and tip was about $57.

I asked the server how long they have been open and he said 8 months but I see Yelp pics and reviews dating back at least 3 years. Someone must have told him the wrong information but no matter, we are just glad we finally found it. We went with the classic Shoyu Ramen with nishu beef and black garlic. I was over the moon when they touted a 12 hour chicken broth soup base. Every ramen shop I have tried to get ramen from has a pork based broth which I do not eat. I'm finally able to have ramen and boy it did not disappoint. The noodles were perfectly al dente and had a satisfying chew with every bite. The broth was so flavorful with the bamboo shoots, bean sprouts and all the slow cooked fats and oil from the chicken broth and the nishu beef, which was tender, thinly sliced rib-eye meat, I suspect. All this topped off with a perfectly cooked soy marinated egg. What an amazing flavor combination. The takoyaki appetizer was also delicious. Biting into the crispy exterior, you are then met with a soft and tender interior filled with chunks of octopus. The balls sat atop Japanese mayo and was drizzled with delicious takoyaki sauce. All it was missing was the katsuobushi which would have elevated the takoyaki flavor. We also ordered the Mala Shrimp which was on the Chinese menu and did not come with rice. That had to be ordered separately. Food came out quick as we were the only patrons apart from another table outside and service was good until a large party sauntered in and the server became inundated with requests. All in all, we will definitely be back to try out other menu items.
