Beware... family of 5 (not a big party) I requested my receipt and they already included my tip without advising prior to service that this is their policy. Businesses cannot legally add a tip or automatic gratuity to your receipt without letting you know beforehand. I'm really funny about tipping I ALWAYS tip and I tip GOOD! and they cut themselves short because I was going to tip more than what they took. My family and I came to Din Soup Dumplings literally right as they opened. So they were still opening up shop, but they were so accommodating and seated us right away. The restaurant itself was incredibly clean, I mean, they were still mopping the floor. But the bathroom was very well-kept and sanitary, too! I watched the chefs wrap the dumplings, which made me even more excited to try the food. The menu had a great variety of different choices so we ordered a mix of everything to eat family style. We got the green scallion pancakes, soup dumplings, fried chicken, siu mai, a chicken dish, and a peanut noodle dish (I can't remember the name of the last two). Not only was the entire meal reasonably priced, but it was delicious and the portions were great, especially for sharing. My favorite had to be the peanut noodle dish; the peanut sauce was thick enough to coat the entire noodle without it being too overwhelming in your flavor palette. The dumplings were also a family favorite, you can tell that they were freshly made! Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Din Soup Dumplings. Its location is a bit tucked away because you need to go up some stairs, but I'm glad we stopped by because I would definitely recommend this place. read more

My family has a Lunar New Year celebration every year, and certain cousins have been bringing Din's dumplings there for years. So this wasn't my first experience with them, but it was my first experience dining in. And it's hard to be sad when you walk in and there's an animatronic noodle pull happening in the front window. There's nothing to be sad about at Din Soup Dumplings anyway. It's clean, and bright, and the dude running things is super nice. He was attentive, joking around with tables, and generally keeping things on track. I've had many a Chinese food experience with borderline abusive service, so this was a nice change of pace. Luckily, the food is outstanding as well. We shared soup dumplings (classic pork xiao long bao) which are in the name of the shop for a reason. They are top notch, and I love that they offer two types of dumpling sauce...the super garlicky option is a winner for sure. My other favorite dish here is the scallion pancake wrap with beef. This just speaks to me on all levels, and with the hoisin, reminds me of the peking duck dinners of childhood. Delicious. We also added a variety of other dumplings (shumai, sticky rice, har gow, etc.) and a plain rice roll. All very tasty, but I think I'd skip the rice roll if I was coming. back. Best miso soup I've ever had!! I was a little skeptical of the food here because this place went viral on tik tok but I thought I'd take the drive and come anyway. I got the viral Diet Coke and dumplings combo and it blew me away. The dumplings were so fresh and they were the right amount of crispy and the sauce for the dumplings was to die for. The service was luckily fast for how crowded it was. This spot is a little small, so be expected to wait a bit before you are sat, but if not they have a waitlist feature so you can wait outside or walk around while you wait! And the top knot, not too thick. One bite and you can see how juicy they are. So good! In the middle of the restaurant, you can see the ladies behind a partition, hard at work, making fresh soup dumplings. We've eaten dishes across the menu, and so far, everything here is so tasty. Kudos to their chef! Their mushroom buns look so realistically like real button mushrooms. Filled with a plethora of different types of mushrooms. Cumin noodles has tender lamb slices and a nice spicy saucy kick. Delicious. I want more! Seating. A medium sized restaurant with mostly tables of four. The shop itself is very small, but the aroma hits you before you even come up the stairs (please note this place is not very handicap accessible). We ordered the crab meat soup dumplings, takoyaki, steamed pork buns, roasted pork buns, and beef thick noodles. Everything was so hot, fresh and absolutely bursting with flavor. My personal favorites was the soup dumplings and noodles. You can tell everything is made in house and comes out incredibly fast. Don't forget to ask for their house made chili oil! Got seated right away. The interior is beautifully decorated. I love that you can see the aunties making dumplings in a booth. Food was great. They have all your classic dim sum options like shumai, XLB, spare ribs, etc. They only have plain cheong fun unfortunately. They knew if they offered pork/shrimp rice rolls, they would be too powerful. Service was excellent and attentive, which is not typical of most dim sum restaurants. I found my favorite soup dumping in New York! The XLB here has my heart. The skin is thin but chewy enough where it doesn't break easily. The soup dumping itself is so juicy and filled with the savory seafood/pork stock. My favorite part of the crab and pork soup dumpling is the egg yolk they use both on top of the dumping on the outside and some on the inside (at least I think I tasted it). It gives it that extras hint of umami taste - so addicting! I can't wait to come back and try the original pork as well as the truffle soup dumpling. They also serve two sauces - one ginger black vinegar based and another one is soy garlic based. We also got the scallion pancake with beef which is a classic dish to get at all dim sum/soup dumping place. Something unique at this place is the steamed mushroom bun. It literally is shaped like a mushroom. The inside is all vegetarian filling. It was good but not the best mushroom/veggie bun I've had. I always like to get a cold appetizer when I get dim sum. The seaweed appetizer was delicious and a good portion size. We came on a weekend for dinner and didn't have to wait. I love how you can see through a glass window to see some of the staff making dumplings live. They also sell frozen soup dumplings and dumplings. I'm planning to get some next time. Scallion pancakes were more like tortillas with herbs. We enjoyed our lemonades which included grapefruit and Rose Blossom Lemonades. String beans were probably my favorite item. Omg I'm not going to lie I fell for the TikTok trend. I went to try the mini dumplings in the cup with a soda. I was so sad to see the cup was sold out but wow the dumplings did notttt disappoint. The chicken feet were tender and savory and the amount we got for $7.50 makes it even better. The sauerkraut noodle soup and sticky rice shumai was an interesting concept but I also quite liked it too. I drank the passionfruit which was my least favorite - I would probably opt for another drink at my next visit. From the moment I walked in, the waitress seemed to have an attitude, as though seating me was a burden. She then took my order incorrectly, and instead of apologizing, she tried to "correct" me on how to order.
