The atmosphere gets five stars. It's very relaxing and the way the tables are arranged you don't feel like you in a huge room watching other diners. My significant other and I started doing Post Mates as a side gig and we immediately got a lot of orders from this adorable Asian cuisine. So of course we had to go in and try it out! Let me tell you, I'm so thrilled that we did! The restaurant is absolutely adorable, red, black and white modern decor, with imperial designs, and cute color changing chandeliers! Our waiter was super sweet, professional and superb at his job! He made sure we were taken care of in a timely manner and kept the drinks full! He was kind enough to ask if we had any questions about the menu and made small talk about seeing us deliver the few days prior to. We started our meal with the Crab Rangoon appetizer and we were not disappointed! It came out piping hot with a side of sweet and sour sauce and they were absolutely delish! My s.o. ordered the Chicken with Fresh Mango in Garlic Sauce and a side of White Rice something neither of us had tried prior to. The chicken was cooked to perfection not too dry, and bursting with flavor. The addition of the mango complimented the Chicken with a nice citrusy sweet taste that overall really made the meal. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken with white rice and trust me when I say you havent had Teriyaki like this. This isnt your typical panda express teriyaki this is fresh grilled chicken served on a bed of piping hot fresh vegetables covered in fresh homemade teriyaki sauce. Of course we devoured our food and ordered desert because how could we resist the Tempura Peach with Ice Cream? If the food was not to your liking, for for whatever reason, that fried peach, coated in sugar, and cinnamon, the ice cream is silky smooth vanilla topped, with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel, is why you need to go to this place! Overall the experience was phenomenal! I'd highly reccomend this place for first dates, or business meetings. The bad: Food is the exact same menu as a "fast food Chinese" place -- but they charge you twice as much because it's a sit down restaurant. Interior decor is dilapidated, complete with flickering lights because they won't change the fluorescent light bulbs. Don't let the name, location and exterior fool you. Ding is excellent and very nice inside. They clearly spent a lot of time and money to create a nice restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere inside. Besides the wonderful ambience, the food is great. You might wonder what exactly is Asian Fusion? The name doesn't really tell you much, but basically they have a full sushi menu along with the more traditional Chinese food dishes. I've had both and was impressed. Past couple of times we sat at the sushi bar and spoke with the chef while we ate. He is very friendly and if you ask nicely he might just whip up something special for you based on what ingredients you like. Unfortunately all 3 times I've been, the restaurant was never busy. Ding, a little name for a restaurant working to serve a large variety of tastes. With a base of selected items from the Szechuan Bistro menu, Ding then moves to explore more ground and more national origins of foods. Here the fusion is Chinese, Chinese American, Japanese, and Japanese American. To some people, I worry to say the vast majority of Oklahomans, then I remember that I live in one of the largest, most culturally diverse cities in the state, all Eastern food is very similar. Yet Japanese and Chinese foods come from completely different paradigms. So seeing them side by side here might be confusing. Yet here, with the mix of the American sides of both food cultures, we can see both executed with precision. The amount of effort necessary to create the proper rice for sushi goes here into the hot and sour soup as well. There are hibachi grills alongside the sushi bar as well, though I have yet to try that fun party type of eating. In fact, I keep going back to chicken with pepper, a very Szechuan flavor executed well, though not with the classic seven peppers. But that's hardly a surprise given the rarity of of those peppers state side. Very tasty none the less, and even if you are spooked by the fact that half of it is literally pepper chunks, you can pick out the chicken, and the garlic, and have an excellent meal. read more

I've intentionally been putting off a review of Ding. Honestly; I've been torn. As a Bethany local, I don't want it to be a restaurant that requires a reservation; but, I am concerned that not enough people in the metro know how legit of an option this place really is. If you know how to order Asian, whether it be sushi or hibachi, you will be impressed. If you're a sweet and sour chicken/philly roll kind of person--you probably won't love it like I do. The ambiance of this place is crazy considering the location. The menu is accommodating, but there are treasures within: the golden salmon, tuna tataki, pink lady, etc. In my humble opinion, Ding rivals any sushi and/or hibachi joint in the metro. We got all specialty rolls (avg $15 ea -- so we got 6 amazing rolls for $45). Our whole order entails drinks Anthem IPA and Blackberry Collins w/ muddled black cherry and lemons mix drink (5 star), tempura veggies (3.5 star), sushi, and fried green tea cheesecake (5 star). If you love Szechuan Bistro, you'll love DING. Same owner, same chefs, same recipes. If you don't know either one, I guess I'm probably your new best friend. We love Szechuan Bistro, but it's pretty far from us. It's frustrating to be equidistant from SB and the Asian District. So, imagine how great it is for Warr Acres peeps to have DING, SB's baby brother, right here in our neighborhood?? The restaurant is gorgeous - they've done so much with this space since buying the building to open DING. But, as the proud parents of a one-year-old, we don't spend that much time going out to eat. We get take out from here a few times a month - highly recommend. And, since it is baby SB, I tend to stick to my favorites: Szechuan beef, General Tso's chicken, broccoli beef, Hunan chicken, and garlic eggplant. I also really love their egg rolls and fried rice. You really can't go wrong with any of the Chinese food or Chef specialties. If you're dining in, get one of the sizzling platters or clay pot. If you're in search of best value, the lunch special is unrivaled in this part of town in terms of value, portion size and quality of food. We're pleased to have this option over here, and hope it becomes as much of a mainstay as Szechuan has become in its neck of the woods. read more

This place is in Bethany when it feels like it should be in Edmond. The decor is like nothing we have here. In fact, the owner, Chin, said he bought all the tile and decor in NY. I even saw an antique divider - like one I purchased in Asia. Super cool vibe in this place and guess what?! The food is stupendous. The prices are moderate. Lunch for two was around 25 dollars. Supposedly this is the sister restaurant of Szechuan Bistro. Swung by for lunch with my mom. Prices for lunch specials were not bad. I believe it was 8 dollars with a plate of rice with your entree you served, with a small bowl of soup. Sushi, you had two choices, 2 or 3 rolls, with a side of soup or salad. We ordered chicken with mixed vegetables. Not too bad. Easy to eat with the sauce being the white versus the brown sauce. Fresh mixed of vegetables which consisted of asparagus, broccoli, and carrots. The fried rice given was pretty tasty alone! Sushi wise, we ordered eel + cucumber and salmon + avocado. Ding is a GREAT addition to 39th Expy. Working in Bethany can be rough at lunch time with so few choices in the area, but Ding is a wonderful option now! I have ordered the main entrees from their menu as well as appetizers and sushi. It's all prepared expertly and served beautifully. Many of my friends enjoy their hot tea with their meals, as well. You can order in or take out, but eating in the restaurant is laid back, relaxing, and satisfying. I love the look of this place! The ambience is kind of sexy. A definite date night type of place but also amazing for large parties. I thought is was too nice for the Bethany area...lol, but I'm super excited I live so close to a place like this. The staff was super friendly and came by multiple times. On to the food... I'm on this intermittent fasting thing, so I was hyped up for food in my belly. I ordered the spicy chicken wings. They were good, but there wasn't any spice to it. Even my go to Red Hot Sauce would of been much better. Again, the chicken was good, but I was missing the heat that I was really expecting. I also got the Mango and Creamy Garlic Chicken....it was super duper delishous. It had a one pepper beside it on the menu, but again lacked heat. WHERE'S THE HEAT in the place? Even the red pepper sauce was flat. Again, don't take me wrong the food was really good, but if you are expecting some type of spicy flavor... Nope. My friend gotten the Szechuan beef (it had a two pepper rating)...nope, nothing. He even asked the waiter to take it back to add some heat to it, which he had no problem with. It came back, it had some but nothing he expected. I just wished they had their heat/spicy level up about 5 to 10 notches...lol. I'm allergic to shellfish, I even had to take a benadryl and had extra for just in case something happened. So, I wasn't able to try the sushi. This Restaurant is a hidden jewel in the Bethany area. The design and decor is sleek and sophisticated, with an intimate ambiance. The menu selection is nice without being so overwhelming like many of the Asian restaurants down town. It obvious the attention is paid to the quality of food as apposed to the quantity. I've have a couple different meals here and haven extremely satisfied with the selection. The 6 piece Shashimi appetizer with Tuna, Yellowtail and Salmon, is not only a feast for the eyes with its gorgeous plating, but the cuts of fish melt in your mouth and leave you craving more. At 9$ you can't beat it for the size of the serving and the quality, it's a dish I recommend highly to anyone who enjoys shashimi. The Miso soup is wonderful, light and delicate in flavor but still very satisfying, and is probably one of the best Miso soups I've had in the city. It is severed at a nice warm temperature in a wooden bowl, and will compliment a sushi or shashimi dish. I've had several of the other dishes they offer, Kung Pao Chicken, General Tso Sauce with Tofu, Fried Pepper Fish and Beef with Leeks and spicy Pepper. All the dishes I've had, including appetizers which I did not list here are well flavored, plated beautifully, plentiful and priced appropriately. This might be a new favorite place. Went a couple nights ago and got wonton soup and Salt and Pepper sliced fish. Soup was good. Delicate flavor and nice wonton. The fish, though was freaking amazing. It was so flavorful with the peppers (spicy peppers, FYI. I was expecting black pepper). I'm already craving it. Took the wife for a lite sushi lunch today and really enjoyed it. Talked to several staff and the were super attentive and pleasant. The bar looks great and is well stocked, may finally be a nice place for an after-work drink with friends. They also have hibachi if you want that. We ventured out on a cold Saturday for lunch. Surprisingly, we were the only 2 there. Clean restaurant, nicely decorated. The interior was frigid but the manager brought over a space heater for us! We had pork gyoza for an appetizer and they were tasty and hot. I had a Godzilla roll and spicy salmon roll. Godzilla was the best-fried tempura with shrimp and cream cheese. What could be wrong? The spicy mayo had a good kick to it and I was impressed. My friend also had a shrimp and mango roll which she said was fresh and satisfying. My spicy salmon roll was average but the salmon tasted a little too fishy. The staff were great, good with drink refills and polite. Will definitely try other menu items again. read more

I've wanted to try this restaurant and try Sushi and today we did both for lunch. First impression was the awesome interior, it's pretty classy and comfortable. I've eaten at every restaurant that's ever been here and I'm impressed. Sushi: I ordered the salmon avacado and Kay ordered the yellowtail scallion. Our first sushi ever so how do I rate it? All I can say is we really liked it. We substituted egg rolls for soup and I know egg rolls and love spicy asian mustard. Their egg rolls were excellent, hot and crisp and the mustard cleared my sinuses and made my eyes water. I had the garlic chicken lunch and Kay the sweet and sour chicken. I got the feeling each dosh is cooked fresh, not just warmed. My meat was very clean, no gristle or fat, the broccoli still crisp, not soggy. We attended their VIP mixer where they had a sushi buffet and hot food. It doesn't appear they have all of the bells and whistles in order just yet. But the owner and management are very nice and wanting to make their place a family establishment for Bethany. Drinks were refilled and plates taken away. We went here after seeing it was owned by the same people who owned another restaurant we like. The location is a bit far from us but we wanted to try it. The restaurant was clean and the food came out fast. However, this restaurant was so over americanized that it wasnt even Chinese anymore. There was sushi on the menu and even pad thai. The food was sub par as well. We got teriyaki chicken that was so dry that we could barely choke it down. And the extra spicy human beef had almost no spice to it. The flavor was excellent but the dish got cold before we even finished eating it. I wouldnt recommend this place if you like authentic Chinese food. But it is ok for a basic American style Chinese. read more

I enjoyed this place so much I went back again 2 days later! Met one of the owners, Leo, who was super nice. The decor is beautiful and the service was great too. The cocktails were a bit too strong and sweet for me but I made it work by asking for a little extra juice. We ordered a little of everything from the hibachi grill, the sushi menu, and the regular menu between both visits. I was pleased with the sushi rolls. I don't really have anything negative to say about the rest of the food we tried but nothing stood out either. The hibachi grill is fun if you've never experienced it before though. This is by far one of the best Asian restaurants I have ever been to! My husband and I went there last night for his birthday and it was exquisite! Let's start with the atmosphere - A+! We loved that each of us could pick our favorite Asian cuisine - no one was left out! We had spring rolls and salmon for an appetizer - both were delicious. Tried this place because we wanted Chinese food but not buffet. Surprisingly good Chinese food. Their sushi was ok not grand. My family had the 8 pc spicy wings which were delicious, Hunan beef which was tender and tasty, beef fried rice which was ok, and seafood clay pot which was good.
