We have been meaning to try this place for awhile. Finally decided to check it out after church Sunday afternoon. From the moment we walked in my 8-year old stepson was mesmerized by the atmosphere. He kept saying how cool it looked. It was clean and very modern looking. The deals they had on Sunday were great! $8 for two entrees and rice...there was so much that I took half of it home and that $8 will stretch to dinner! Kids meals were a great deal as well, $5. The service was fantastic, everyone was so nice and friendly. Again, my stepson loved it and kept saying how awesome it was. They ended up giving us free dessert, sealing the deal that this is now my stepson's new favorite restaurant. read more

A very average roll without the average price. Was shocked to see a very basic roll assortment priced at $12-$18. Rolls that are priced $6-$8 many other places. Took a chance on a couple of $15 rolls, was told it would be ten minutes to make. Twenty minutes later the food still wasn't ready despite the fact that there was hardly anyone in the dinning room. Most disappointing was the quality of food. Tuna didn't look or taste fresh at all. Couldn't finish eating from fear of becoming sick. Will not return to this establishment. read more

i'm not a big fan of generic asian takeout, but it's husband's guilty pleasure from time to time and if it saves me a night in the kitchen, then i won't argue with it. we are always pretty pleased w/ our meals from ding. egg rolls are a must, and tonight i discovered they serve yakisoba! i did not have high expectations, but it was pretty good! i will say that i've had worse yakisoba from japanese restaurants. i give this place 4 stars. the staff at the front counter are always pleasant. the family loves the food. read more

My experience at DING was very pleasant. The Salt and Pepper fish was delicious, and although my sushi roll was extremely overpriced the taste made up for the money spent. One pretty large disappointment, was the Calamari...it was over cooked, the breading tasted as if it had too much flour or that it was stale. I am a huge Calamari fan and this one was by far not my favorite. I do plan on returning and hopefully my meal choices will be a little better next time. read more

Repeatable: Not really Also: Great for those on a bland diet The atmosphere was lively, the interior beautiful, and the wait staff attentive. The lunch menu was quite varied and included sushi as well as the usual Chinese-style dishes. One diner had a sushi lunch of two rolls, one had the Kung Pao Chicken (two peppers for very hot) and one had Szechuan Style Shredded Beef (two peppers - the guys like their heat!). The sushi lunch came with a small salad with ranch dressing (no choice of dressing was given). The sushi was served as 6 pieces, each about 1 inch long. The yellowtail was sweet but the scallion with it was minuscule and the roll was falling apart. There was difficulty even identifying the other roll as shrimp and asparagus as the shrimp was rather mushy and the asparagus we very thin. It was decided that sushi would not be repeatable. As for the spicy dishes, both had the hot and sour soup and stated that while it had some flavor, it tasted more watery than most. The brown and white rices were good. In the Szechuan Style Shredded Beef, the vegetables were crisp but the whole dish was just too bland. It could have used some basic seasonings like garlic and black pepper and then the rating for the dish would have gone from a 2 to a 4/5. The Kung Pao Chicken was loaded with dried whole chiles and bell peppers. While it was cooked well, the diner was disappointed and refused to rate his dish. Both also stated that there was absolutely no heat in their meals and the wimpy diner had to agree. read more

This place is a great new Asian restaurant to check out and try if you have not yet! I have been there 2x's and both times have enjoyed the food. Quick service and very friendly staff members help the feel of the place. The interior is very nice and has a wow factor/appeal to it. It is a Hibachi grill, haven't tried that yet, but it definitely meets visual and taste standards. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an Asian restaurant or new place to try out! read more

The owners have completely renovated the building with stone interior and exterior walls and stone flooring. The interior has a clean, sophisticated look which includes plentiful, colorful interior lighting which is not overstated or overdone. It is beautiful inside and pleasing to the eye. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and we were seated immediately. The staff also collaborated throughout our meal to ensure used dishes were removed from our table and our drinks remained topped; our waitress was not on her own. I ordered the Schezwan Style Jumbo Shrimp which was excellent and had a spicy twinge, which I liked; my wife, who is from Taipei, ordered the Schezwan beef and she also enjoyed it. The pace at which the appetizer and meal were served was very good. The table, dining area, dishes and silverware were clean. The owner recognized us from their other restaurant, Schezwan Bistro on Memorial, which we also like, and she made a point to chat with us. If you're a fan of Schezwan Bistro, this is similar, but with Japanese influence and other elements. There is a bar and sushi is part of the menu. The total on our bill was quite reasonable. On Friday January 20th - We ordered the Crab Rangoon to find out that they where lightly spread with a white sauce. We spoke to the waiters, she in turned spoke to the Manager. The waiters told us that the Manager was aware of the problem. Nothing else was done, nothing, they didn't ask us if we would like something else or a refund the Crab Rangoon that the Manager knew already that they were bad. What restaurant serves food that they know is bad? The rest of the dinner was average, the service was fine and the restaurant was clean. I was really looking for an upscale sushi restaurant but this appeared to be as good as it gets in OKC. The décor was pleasant, built inside what looks like a gutted fast food restaurant. Has a chic, LED-filled aura, but too many TV's blaring sports shows ruins the atmosphere for me. We ordered one of their specialty cocktails but the ingredients we're cheap and watered down and the quality of sushi and wine here is pretty mediocre. Ordered the medium sized sushi boat specifically without any sauces or accents due to my MSG sensitivity (I bring my own soy sauce to these places) but the sushi must have been prepared on a tainted surface because I instantly suffered a mild reaction. Wow! Thank you for opening this restaurant! Bethany restaurants are few and generally bad. This was a class experience from start to finish. Prices are reasonable. Food is fantastic, fresh, and could not detect MSG, which is great news and the true test of an Asian restaurant. Beautiful decor, great date night place, comfortable booths, sushi bar and TV's, liquor....and very well prepared Asian food from the sushi to the mild dishes such as Mu Gu Gai Pan, and the spicy food is fantastic! Best Asian food I've ever had! The steamed chicken dumplings were out of this world. I had the teriyaki shrimp and was astonished at the beautiful presentation. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. The flavor was second to none! Was NOT impressed with this place at all!! We came Because all the reviews were great! But to our surprise the parking lot was empty. Now I see why!!!The edamame wasn't even good, the pods were yellow/dry from cooking them too much. The sushi was awful, we got a California roll and the crab meat smelled awful it was a little warm. warm sushi isn't very good. My husband got sesame seed chicken and rice and said it didn't taste very good either. We will NOT be going to this place & we'll never recommend it to ANYONE! read more

Great new place in an area with limited options. So glad to have an Asian restaurant on the west side. Great ambiance! Food was delicious and all of the presentation was beautiful. The rating is lower, because there are still some kinks to workout. They seated 3 of us with 2 menus, went back for 3rd, then went back again for drink menu. We had to ask for plates and soy sauce with sushi. Food didn't come out at the same time, but I had mine for about 3 minutes first. Had to go to the bar for more drinks after food came out. We will go back, as I feel these are opening weekend kinks to work out. read more
