I was very disappointed in the size of the boba and the price for it was very expensive. Over $4 for the boba and the cup seemed so small with a lot of ice too. I remember being in Southern California where I would pay the same price but I would get a regular 16oz. The cup and size is cute, but I believe the price should be lower than that. I changed the order to golden boba as well since I like the way ding tea makes that differently than other boba places and I was happy with that decision. Finally got around to writing a review after a few visits. As of yet, this is probably our fav boba spot. Located right across across from CRC in the FoodsCo plaza. This used to be the old Lollicup. My first visit, I ordered the jasmine milk green tea with 50 percent sugar since I always cut down on the sugar. It was like not having sugar at all. We also tried their lychee green tea and passion fruit green tea. Lychee tastes just like the lychee jelly cups we ate as a kid. Passion fruit green tea tastes just like passion fruit but it was a little too sweet for me. Second time I came, I ordered the same jasmine milk green tea with 70%, and it was perfect. My husband tried their brown sugar latte. He did not like it at all. We were trying to figure out what that familiar taste reminded us of and we finally figured out that it tastes like cereal milk. Haha. Even though it's called a "latte" there is no coffee in their whatsoever. Not even tea. Kinda weird. Their portions are smaller than most places. I've mistaken their smaller cup with the round/curved bottom as a small but it's actually their regular size. Their large is usually a regular at most places. So ABGs can make sure their lashes are still on right I guess? Anyway, that aside this place is also pretty good if you want a side of boba with your Instagram story. The golden pearls are a nice little novelty that's different from other boba places. They're soft, chewy, and sweet without being syrupy. The milk tea drinks have pretty good tea flavor and are on the sweeter, creamier side. In this pandemic, I would love to give the restaurants 5 stars for the effort and keeping the restaurants open. With Ding Tea, I was frustrated. It was my first time at DING TEA and I kept hearing great reviews. I walked into the store around 2pm and they were empty. I came to find out, all orders have to be placed either through online or phone. They don't accept orders in stores. Anyways, I had to go outside the store to place my order through online website. Took additional few minutes to get the signal. Just to let you know, I did try their phone services prior to going there. Their phone lines were busy. Only they would have picked my phone call, I would have known their policy. In the heat, I kept waiting for confirmation e-mail and text that order was ready. Sadly, I didn't receive any messages. I usually order the taro with cheese cream, 50% sweet and light ice, with egg pudding and taro bits. If it sounds super decadent, it is haha. I've also had their jasmine milk tea with boba, which I've enjoyed as well. The staff here is friendly and seems to be handle the steady stream of customers really well. The atmosphere is pretty much what you'd expect from a boba spot, and it can get loud at times depending on how full it is. Also the music choice is sometimes questionable (read: explicit), so just a heads up to parents with young children. I have yet to try the snacks here, but I'll make a note to save room in my stomach next time instead of solely visiting after having food at another restaurant nearby. So if the regular house milk tea isn't your thing, then you're out of luck. They were also completely out of coffee for their coffee-based drinks, so my husband couldn't get anything as a non-tea drinker. They have nice aesthetic going on inside and the service wasn't bad. Now onto the drink itself. It tasted extremely watered-down and potentially made with a powder instead of tea and my mom, who got the same drink, said the same thing. After all the trials, I'm basic AF (like I didn't know), I like the signature milk tea most with no sugar and boba. I find that their drinks actually run quite sweet. I usually go halfsies, but even at zero sugar I can get pretty hype. Boba texture is great and I haven't had a bad experience yet. The taro is my friend's favorite and apparently she's not alone. They were out of it for a while right before I started going here. But while I liked that there were bits of taro in it, I was left wanting more within the drink. Here's to hoping they add it to the slush menu and use real taro. That would be killer. There's only one other place I know that does that. In terms of environment, the place is fresh and modern. Came in here because I was sooooo excited to try their cheese cream! How interesting! Came on a Sunday night around 7:20 pm. There was no line but the tables pretty much looked filled. They have a super cute Instagram worthy rose wall and this beautiful mural on their wall! I want that mural painted on a wall at my house! The place is super cute and is decorated nicely. The Taro with Cheese Cream was OMG get in my mouth delicious! It comes in a cup with a strange lid that flaps out but I believe it's because you're supposed to taste the cheese cream first and it is amazing! Whenever I am in the area this place is my favorite go-to for Taro milk tea! It's in the plaza of Foods Co, T-Mobile, and Burger IM. Their service is also super quick and nice as well. I never like boba in the past because of the chewy texture, but this place has BROWN BOBA! The boba is always fresh and soft. Other places usually have black boba. The drizzled syrup drink is a much sweeter drink. The second time I drank that, it got to be a bit much to drink since it's sweeter. Their snacks are good, but is like another other tea place. Their popcorn chicken was a little salty for me and is more herby, since they put Thai basil with it. The calamari is okay. They take mad long to take your order. I asked if I could get extra ice in my drink because they always add hot tea and cold milk which makes my drink non enjoyable because it's warm and then they add the warm boba they told me they can't add extra ice.. mind you this was asked way before the drink was made the drink was gross read more
